I have been dealing with this too. My hands, legs, and feet. I have been to my doctor and waiting for the results from blood and urine test.

Lack of circulation; diabetes.

Lack of circulation or dehydration. Diabetes or off kidney function. If you’re pregnant, pre eclampsyia or diabetes.
It can be any number of things. If you have a sedatary life, eat processed foods high in sodium, not hydrated enough. If it’s painful, let your Dr know.
Get moving, drink water, avoid salt and processed foods. That usually helps if it’s general and not caused by any illness.

Do not over stress it ca be something as simple as your old pressure being high … which is fixable. It can be serious too but go in with a let’s figure this out attitude!

Lack of protein in your diet. Are you pregnant?

Mine is not hydrating enough during the day and being on my feet all day.

I’ve seen this where the person has Too much sodium- the body is not excreting enough. I’ve seen this in the elderly be/c they don’t drink enuf water and don’t sweat as much.Their natural filtration system doesn’t work as well.

Don’t wait, go to the ER now. It can be a sign of heart failure.

l Get paid over $112 per hour working from home. l never thought I’d be able to do it but my buddy makes over $19744 a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The possibility with this is endless.

Fluid retention is a big one, for varies reasons… I wouldn’t freak out.

Could be bad heart health/heart failure. I would go straight to the e.r or clinic as soon as you can.

So many things. I know fibromyalgia can do that, but that’s just one possibility. I’m glad you’re seeing your doctor. Be very descriptive and ask a lot of questions. Explain how it feels to put weight on it. Does it tend to flare up at a certain time of day (mornings? Evenings?)? Is there numbness or tingling? Any change of color in your feet during a flare? Any other symptoms (fatigue, issues in other extremities, pain, etc)? Writing this stuff down ahead of time can help ensure you remember everything.

If your primary care doc doesn’t help get you answers, get another opinion. With more mysterious conditions, sometimes patients really need to advocate for themselves. :frowning:

Take care.

Go to the ER immediately. This happened to my friend and she was in rental failure and she almost died. Your heart isn’t circulating blood.

I had this happening, but only from my knees down and my left leg is/was always more swollen than the right. Turns out my right kidney was starting to fail from a massive infection that I didn’t know I had for almost a year. Only reason I found out before complete failure/full on sepsis, o had a kidney stone become lodged in my ureter(more painful than all 3 of my natural child births together). So def don’t write it off as nothing. Have them check all angles.

Don’t ask the internet we are not doctors. Go to the ER they can help U much better.

Just google edema and read up

Could be vein related…my veins don’t pump properly in my legs and causes issues. I always have swollen and painful legs.

Stop salt intake second stop eating anything the comes out of a box !!! look into healing alkaline plants and sea moss drink only clean well water do not drink city water or bottled water !!

It’s usually heart related. Good get checked out.

Don’t go to the ER. ER us for immediate serious life threatening issues. Go see a Doctor or go to Medical wellness express to find out. It could be heart or kidney issues. Also Arthritis, fibromyalgia and ankylosis may be a problem. But we are not Doctors so it’s best to see a real Doctor

Something involving your lower veins and/or arteries probably. I am finishing school for ultrasound of the heart/veins/arteries. We get patients all the time at the doctors office I intern at with lymphedema.

Retaining water or high salt intake. Either way it can be heart related I’d definitely get it checked out.

Dr appt is a great idea. How’s your blood pressure?

I had this happen. I did all kinda blood work it was normal. Later found out it was a varicose vein. Seen a specialist and a few procedures and it’s much better

To much sodium in your diet or bad circulation to mention a couple

Fluid retention can be caused by many occurrences! Keep a check on your blood pressure daily until you go which can help your provider decide rather or not you will need blood pressure medication and or a fluid medication. I was 25 when diagnosed with hypertension with some fluid retention I know it’s scary but can be something you maintain!

Kidney problems, heart failure, nervous system disorders such as POTS . Diabetes… Many things can cause this. Best to just get some blood work done.

Wait for Dr. To run some tests.

Mine was caused by high blood pressure.

Water retention…bad circulation, beginning heart problems…see your Dr. If you have to wait long time call Dr office tell them your very worried about your legs and could Dr possibly see you earlier. DON’T Cancel your appointment until you see Dr earlier
