What can cause yellow drainage from eyes?

Went swimming today with my 3 year old. He was fine all day. Fell asleep at 8:30, yellowish drainage coming from eyes but eyelids are white. I put eye drops in! Any ideas? I’m hoping not pink eye again

Ear infection believe it or not. Eyes, ears, nose and throat are all connected. This happened to my son when he was 3-4 yrs old. Within a couple of days it changed from yellow to green and his little eyes were glued shut. Ear infection.

Watch it. Any runny nose? Possible sinus infection?
Icky eyes throughout the day? Itchy?

Could be a number of things

My 4 yr old just went through this it was conjunctivitis, just need antibiotic eyedrops from your pediatrician

Yellow is an infection, might be a sinus infection or just an eye infection. Either way, get to the doc.

Mine just had this and it was double ear infection! No fever either!!

Prayers for your 3yr ol. Amene

Soak a chamomile tea bag, let it cool then dip a paper towel or makeup pad in it and cover the eye for as long as they will let you. Repeat multiple times a day. Cleared my girls conjunctivitis in 2 days!!

Its called conjunctivitis. He needs an antibiotic. Chloromycetin eye ointment helps. All the best
