Okay soooo, I have tooken my daughter to er with really bad stomach pains Tuesday night… they determined that it was due to constipation… plus she has strep throat… they prescribed her antibiotics and miralax… but she’s still in constant pain and she’s breally starting to use potty what more can I give her to help her relieve her self and go quicker?
Water. Water. Water. Add more fiber.
Cherries also help and lots of water
Heat pad and cold pad works for my daughter who is constipation a lot
Sometimes antibiotics can cause constipation too. Maybe the antibiotics are making the constipation worse
I give mine baby prune purées and blueberries. Works a treat.
Prune juice , pear juice,.fruits , lots of water can do a stool softener. Miralax never works
Stool softener and drink lots of water move around alot
Heating pad, benefiber, etc. High fiber foods, lots of water, and usually running around/activity helps gets the bowels moving.
Prunes or apples…everyone is built a little differently…but one or the other will work
My daughter had this problem bad. We had her see a Dr. At Children’s hospital of Philadelphia. Her runny would go around the hard stool. It broke my heart. They had endoscopy clean her out a few times. After give her medicine through her iv for the rest. There is a name for it encropesis.
Did they check her for UTI
Apple-prune juice works wonders for my kiddo when she’s stopped up. The Frida Baby Windi helps a lot too, but that really depends on their age. I don’t think they really work for kids over like 1 year.
Warm bath, price juice and patience.
Plus the meds…
Try getting her a toliet foot thing so she is in a different position pooping
Ex-lax helped our son. It looks like a piece of hersheys bar
Milk of magnesium or magnesium citrate can help and then I would suggest adding more water, fiber and probiotics
Castor Oil - Queen of Thrones brand rubbed on her lower tummy. Works instantly
Massage that belly too. Look up constipation belly massages. They work wonders. The miralax will help soften it up. But if she’s still not going #2 take her back to the doctor.
Warm water with lemon. It will help it move
Sit her in a warm tub - put warm wash cloth on her head - when body is warm - it helps meds and body juice flow
Pear juice is the only thing that ever worked for my kids!
Ask your pediatrician or a nutritionist about good foods to add to her diet, like high fiber foods, bran, hot cereals, especially oatmeal, fruits, beans, and vegetables vs. meat & carbs. Cheese sometimes stops people up too.
Warm bath and mommy’s bliss constipation ease
If you want quick relief children’s suppositories
Miralax. You can use off brand. The doctors let me 4 year old use it because she gets constipated occasionally. Thats the only thing that has worked for us. When she was roughly 2 and a half, I also had the ok from doctors to give it to her.
Prune juice. You can use it in many ways… frozen, in fruit salad, in other juices.
