What can I do for my extra skin?

I’ve had four kids, my oldest is 14 and my youngest is 2 years old. It usually takes me about 2 years to lose all the baby weight and I’ve noticed that I started losing some and I’m trying to do some exercises. I was wondering what some of you do for the extra skin. Like I have this little pouch that just hangs down and it bothers me so bad I try to tuck it into my pants but if I’m wearing certain clothes you can see it, I just want to tighten it up. I’m pretty happy with my body other than that part and it just makes me really self-conscious and kind of depressed honestly. It’s been a while since I felt good about myself and I know if I could get just that little thing gone or even somewhat better, that I’d feel a lot better. Any advice would be helpful, thank y’all!

Honestly I brought it up to my personal trainer and he had me do some exercises and a diet to help my skin tighten.

Be proud of it. Look at your beautiful kids, be thankful for your health that allowed you to be blessed with 4.

Tons of core stuff. I actually ended up in PT after having my last baby and got in amazing shape doing 15 min workouts a day

Both doctors and fitness advisors have told me only surgery can fix it. Cross fit and diet didn’t even fix mine.

Go to the gym at least 3 times a week in 6 months you find a difference ,I did and I feel a lot better about myself

I always used those body shaper things on high waisted pants. :woman_shrugging: My muscles never went back together after I had my kids so there wasn’t much I could really do about it other than that. Crunches and stuff made the gap in my stomach worse. These days though it doesn’t bother me like it used to. That extra skin is where my babies grew and I’m pretty proud of that and my “tiger stripes”. I can’t believe I wasted so long being self conscious about it and covering up all the time.

Collagen and skin tighting lotion helps as you are loosing weight just look up the best for you I’ve had 4 and I loose we

I’ve personally witnessed 2 friends use tummy tuck miracle bands and I was floored at how well they worked. Both friend’s had c-sections too.

Cardio.
Lots of legs/lower belly work outs.
But you can only tighten so much before you need surgery depending on how much skin is there.

I think we all have this same question. Only thing my dr days is a tummy tuck.

Just wear a body shaper when you wear the little black dress if you don’t want to do the invasive procedure. Otherwise you try using sesame seed oil to rub your skin, weight loss collagen might help as well

I lost the weight with progressively more difficult exercises from the day after birth (first day breathe, second day breathe & raise arms, third day, add knee raises, etc.). Then I had loose skin & a crevice in my belly. Then I eventually gained weight & filled in the crevice! Since a tummy tuck & stitching my muscles back together was going to cost $10,000 I eventually made peace with it. Love Land’s End bathing suits for making the jelly belly look non existent.

It only goes away with a drastic weight loss & work out regime, or a tummy tuck.

I’ve learned to embrace the mom pooch. It carried & housed my babies. & if I’m being honest with myself it probably isn’t ever going away  so I’m learning to love it!
