So my son is turning 12 this year and he doesn’t want a party nor does he want to take anything to school he said he just wants his cake and his gifts and that it but I still want to make the day special for him but still make it his own. Any ideas?
Go see a movie or laser tag and go karts are fun.
Take him out with the family to an activity he loves , but hes told you what he wants and how he wants to celebrate it this year, listen to him
Movie and dinner with his best friend.
Take him out to eat and a movie
Pizza and games at a place like Peter Piper Pizza. Fun for everyone.
Decorate his room with balloons, streamers and birthday banner as a surprise for when he wakes up on his birthday. Make his favorite breakfast. And just do whatever he wants for the day…a movie, paintball, arcade, laser tag whatever he likes. Family dinner and cake.
Listen to what he wants. He knows
How about an experience if some sort… Like a baseball game somewhere, mini golf?
I have twin boys that is 11 years old they told me they are done with parties. I have them decide on dinner and somewhere fun as a family every year for their birthday
Make his favorite meals… serve him breakfast in bed sing to him while hitting pots n pans with a wooden spoon. Write him a letter about how you love him and how he’s growing up. Go n do whatever he wants to do. Donate pet items to a shelter in his name. Find out who is famous on his birthday and share the info or what day he shares like taco day, chewing gum day, etc. remember to take lots of silly photos get a Polaroid camera and have instant photos.
Maybe take him to lunch and a movie
Give him exactly what he wants. He told you what he wanted, listen to him.
Laser tag , go karting paint balling.
We did dinner of his choice and gave him cash. Loved it!
take him somewhere, out to dinner with the family? A special place? Lego land? A Game Center? something? Let him have it the way he wants it. No party and no taking stuff to school is his choice. Suggest other things
Dinner of his choice with a friend
Listen to your son . That’s what he wants!
We let them pick out their dinner whether at a restaurant of their choice or fave meal at home, we bake their fave cake, and if there’s a movie they want to see or somewhere they’d like to go that’s fun we do that. Mine are almost 13 & 14
Make presents last all day. Have each one through the day be something to do together like a movie, video game, board game, or craft he likes. Open a new one everytime when done with the other. Favorite meal for supper or take out from fav restaurant. Cake. Then his larger presents that are just for him. Then let him go wear off the suger while he plays with those.
