Call a church, salvation army, local food bank, hospital, crisis line, planned parenthood etc… none of these places will turn you away if you legit need help.
I have a bunch of unopened sample cans if you’re in my area, you can have them!
Baby would be ok on regular milk for a day or 2
Pediatrician office will give you free samples. I barely bought any for my last one, they kept me stocked. It was amazing because it’s so expensive
Scammer !!! She was called out
Go to a hospital… I’m sure they’d give you some.
Or try food banks/pantries
Churches…
Or look up ways to make your own
Call your dr and ask them if they have any samples. They will sometimes give you some free ones.
She’s scamming people!
I pray to God no one has actually sent her money, one quick look at her profile shows she has no Son only a daughter who is MUCH older than 3m.
At 3 months there aren’t safe substitutes for formula or breast milk, but definitely reach out to the local hospital - try to call directly to the maternity unit/floor, and ask if they have any samples they could give you to hold you through, as most other resources for baby formula are closed on the weekend…hospitals are always open! Good luck
I would try to call you pediatrician, they can probably provide you with enough until your paycheck goes through. Also, apply for WIC it is such a great help, your pediatrician can also tell you where you can apply for it and you can receive it until your baby is 5 years old and for yourself up until 6 months after you have had your baby.
Also you can check your local food pantries and churches, they always have formula… God Bless…
Call your doctor office they will be able to help you out until pay check is done a friend of mine was able to do it and all she had to do was pick it up at the office
It’s probably too late now, but you can ask the pediatrician’s office if they have samples. We always have tons!
She may be on WIC already I know I have it and it really helped with formula but it wasn’t nothing for my daughter to go thru all the cans and is still had to buy out of pocket.
If you can PM your location, I have a brand new big can of Similac bought as back up when covid hit. Then my little turned 1 so we don’t need it
Premixed bottles are usually a cost effective back up. A 6 pack of Enfamil pre mixed can last a couple of days and costs like $8 at Walmart. Otherwise call your doc or local hospital and see if they have a couple of sample cans they can provide you.
Have you tried to get WIC? Most get more formula than they need.
Call local Health Department
Where are you located
Apply for wic hun …
Infant crisis center
No programs where you’re at? We have a program here that provides formula and nutrition to children up until their 5th birthday.
I’ve personally used cow milk, our pediatrician closes at 5 so can’t get it from there/weekends, but not everyone is comfortable with that. Also one suggestion idk what kind you buy but we stopped getting enfamil it was ridiculously expensive and would last only a few days. We switched to Member’s mark brand at Sam’s. Almost the same price for 3x much.
Yes call your pediatrician and just tell them your running low and to see if they have sample cans. I had twins and my doctors office was always so nice and give me like a case of them.
Go to your local wic office and see if they have any on hand. Some people have to switch formula so they turn in what isn’t open. If not go to a local food bank, church sometimes even help.
Does mama have Venmo? She shouldn’t have to worry about substituting her baby’s formula. Motherhood is stressful enough, let’s help each other when we can.
I would be more than willing to help this mother out! Please message me if you see this! There are people that care & willing to help out! You are not alone!
Calculate how much formula you buy a month. Always buy 2 extra if you can. Remember, their appetite grows until they’re 6 months old. At 6 months is when you can introduce infant cereal. Join a local mom FB group, call local food banks in your area, churches as well, even the hospital you had your baby, a family member or friend who could loan you the money for a can of formula till you get paid. Pediatrics do not recommend cows milk at that age.
Definitely call local maternity hospital. Especially because Sundays most Dr offices are closed, ask a friend or family member. Even a church. then on Monday apply for wic right away.
I would go to a bank ask someone there if they can buy you scan I would god says come as you are I never had to ask for help till this year I went to a good bAnk I was craving fruit I got apples peaches grapes oranges fruit in cans they gave me all the fruit i wanted god knows what we need ahead of time I ws so thankful don’t be scared to ask a friend I did and there people out there with loveing hearts
Call your pediatrician. Most pediatricians have sample containers they will give you
Please get wic when you can!! The income requirements are much different than food stamps or Medicaid!!
Reach out on one of your local FB mom pages. Our local one women are asking for help all the time and so many sweet mamas help out!
Unfortunately there are no substitutions at this point. Anything else could really upset his tummy. While desperate times call for desperate measures of suggest asking a neighbouring or friend to spot you until your wage comes in.
Call your pediatrician. They always have sample cans that the companies send to them! They will happily give you some.
Is there a local food bank, doctors/pediatricians office, community outreach, or shelter you can call? With the doctors office you might have to call the emergency number, but most pediatricians have small cans that the companies give them to give as product advertising
Try a local wic office, or even ask the maternity ward at the hospital. Call public health office, post on your local community page for extra advice. Never ever hurts to ask.
I gave mine cows milk milk…until…and hey they never got sick they are 10 years old today twins…
If you can, when you get paid and buy more, always, always budget for an extra tin. Every time.
For the future: join neighborhood mom fb groups, they are supportive & they are close enough so that if you need anything they usually are helpful with donating
I can help this mom if I know who she is. I have cash ap or can call her local grocery store and pay with my CC over the phone
I was in this exact same situation many times when I was a newly single mama going through my divorce. Thankfully I am in a much better position now a year later. If anyone ever is in need of help when it comes to feeding a hungry baby or getting a pack of diapers please feel free to message me! I’m always happy to help
call you ped and ob they should have some to help. sorry hun
Find your local food bank. You can also call your local hospital to see if they can spare some. Most OB floors have sample cans and I’m sure they will be happy to offer you some.
Do not use cows milk under 12 months it’s not suitable for there gut
call the social service agencies, churches, shelters, medical clinics. can u say what area you are in
Doctor should have sample cans! Please call them!
A maternity unit may have the small bottles for what they use when you have a baby maybe call and ask?
Give rooibos tea with normal milk in and a pinch of salt in so the tummy doesn’t protest
The WIC office usually has cans there.
Did you get the formula you needed?
What about evaporated milk?
Do you have cash app?
Do you have Venmo or cashapp?!
Wic might give you emergency checks and sample cans call your pediatrician they might have some to give
Call your pediatricians office explain your situation, they should be able to help!
Normally if you call WIC they can give you a can of emergency formula
If you are in St. Louis Missouri or close, let me know, I’ll get some to you
Your pediatrician should have samples
Omg I have rice cereal you can have if u come pick it up…
I can help you pm me
Post in a local moms group and see if anyone has some to spare or even in a local swip swap page.
You could join your local human milk for human babies group and see if any mothers near you have breast milk to donate.
Get WIC!!! They will give you like 3-4 cans a month
You could edit your post and let everyone know what your PayPal/Venmo so people can donate.
Also apply for WIC they give you so much a month and it is truly helpful when you are living paycheck to paycheck
Go to your pediatrician they ALWAYS have emergency formula or call the hospital. Also churches and food banks can offer help
If the “fan” can see this! Send me a private message! I can Help! PayPal or Walmart/target pick up etc. I’ve been there before.
You message me and then I send you some through some home delivery service.
I can help just pm me
She needs to learn to manage her money better. Make sure your child has everything needed to last until your next pay cheque. I always make sure my son has what’s needed even if I go without
Try a local food bank, they might have formula. Sign up for WIC so this doesn’t happen in the future. Sell something, beg your family for money, do whatever it takes to get that baby fed. That’s what I would do.
You can use evaporated milk diluted in an emergency. Scammer or not, if you’re going to struggle to afford formula, try to breastfeed for as long as possible as its free.
Pediatrician, even OB offices may have sample sized cans.
WIC
It honestly saved my life when my oldest was a baby.
If there is a wic office near buy they most definitely should be willing to give you a can of formula! I’ve had to go there when I wasn’t even getting wic and they had it in the office .
Easiest solution, call Drs in AM, they will definitely give you sample cans to get you through until you can get some yourself.
Man I’ve never been in this situation before so I don’t know what to suggest
As it’s the weekend, post on local fb groups asking for sample cans to get you through until tonight. You can also contact churches. Lots of times churches have formula and diapers for people in need
This makes me so sad
People are so very very kind. I am so proud to see this community respond so quickly. I want to recommend for the future maybe signing on to WIC. They will provide you supplemental formula that can help offset your need.
Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
