Good luck…division of child support here in Illinois did little to nothing for me…my kids are now grown and he went on Social Security disability which is not considered income for this purpose. I have been told he owes it forever and it would be the first to come out of his ‘estate’ on his death…I’m not holding my breath. As my Dad used to say…you can’t get blood from a turnip.

If he is on SSDI she is entitled to a check on his record. If you have custody the check comes to you. If he’s receiving benefits for her contact SS and let them know and the representative payer on record can be changed to you. They can also require him to pay back all that he received on her behalf without custody. They will garnish his check up to leaving him with $750(the minimum he has to receive) it can also be garnished for child support.
Call SS you should be able to draw money for your kid

My son’s father went on SS and I started getting it, they actually told me at child support that he was going on it, it took probably 6 months after that to see anything. They also told me my son could get part of his SS instead of the child support, depending on which was more, I have just stuck with the child support payments.
Im not sure about where you are at but my sisters husband gets ss and his child support for his 2 other children with his ex wife comes out of that. Check out your state laws and then see where to go from there.

If he receives just social security your child support order can not be taken from him but If he is actually on disability you can receive benefits from the federal government from his case. Call the social security office near you and report his child to his social security number and ask to apply for benefits on your child’s behalf because their father is receiving benefits.
Apply for children’s benefits through social security… my ex did… $340 per kid plus retro back payments. You can do the same. Call social security in your area.

Mu daughters bd didnt get a stimulus bc of back pay child support they said and he got picked up and had to stay in jail longer for back pay along with his other charges but ya like the others say u prob wont get anything .she hasn’t in 5 years . its just adding up
It took a few years but here in Texas they finally started deducting the child support from his disability. Given that he never filed for the full 40quarters. He was only getting barely $680 and now gets maybe $500 but that’s not my problem.

Social security is exempt from child support. You will not get anything unless he is working and if he works he knows he loses social security.
From what I know in VA, if they are put on ss after ordered to pay they are still responsible for the back owed. But it also depends on if it is ssi or ssd. File a petition for non payment/show cause/contempt with the courts.
I’m not sure because your daughter draws already, but if he is getting disability she should draw as his child. You can get that if he is behind .

If he is on ssi you can’t do anything he doesn’t have to pay disability. But if he is on ssdi you can get a check off of his claim for her but remeber when you start receiving receiving child support her disability check will be lowered
I hear if they get ssi they can’t take it but social security they can. My daughter’s dad was ordered to pay 110.00 a month he wouldn’t get a job that they could get the money from. He owes me 56,000.00 but is in prison for life.

No she’s disabled, she gets a check for life. You can file a contempt order with the court. Ask to waive the filing fee. Once you file that, the judge will order the child support enforcement team to produce records of them trying to enforce the order. If they don’t he will slap them on the wrist, it’s the quickest way to get them to take action
Unfortunately if he only gets social security, you won’t get much at all. I think I was getting like $18 per month. The state of Illinois automatically took it out of his social security since I already had a court order for child support
My dad was on a check they gave my sister $25a month out his money but my dad still would do for her it really sucks I live in ga to and my daughter dad is latino AMD he pays nothing and I never went to child support because I know how they are but sometimes if he gets a check you can get one for her because he on one but she should be able to get one I’m also about to try to get my daughter check going because she ADHD and Autism but ga does things on there own time
Here in Kentucky if he goes $1000 in arrears you can have a warrant issued and have his ass put in jail

You might try hetting something for her from social security as a dependent
If he gets social security they shout e sending you a payment. He probably never reported that he had a daughter or he had to pay. You need to call social security and ask them what to do.
Go back to court and they should be able to have the money taken out of his social security money
Contact the social security office and submit a copy of the child support. She will get the ssi!
