My 18m old woke up from nap with runny nose. He woke up just now to a weird cough which sounds like post nasal drip. Like sounds like he is gagging. He has no fever. What would you recommend for the congestion?

If there’s rattling in his chest I’d put him in a steamy bathroom or a humidifier. Saline nose spray, Vicks vapor rub, and sit him upright as much as possible

Hyland’s tiny cold tabs, dissolving tablets. I tell everyone about them. I see the first sign of a runny nose or even being around a kid with runny nose I go straight for them.
Also, Maty’s baby chest rub is great.
I was told that 2.5 ml of Benadryl could be given by my pediatrician.
