Okay 17 month old has strep , fever is gone but has gotten the rash from strep have any of y’all dealt with this ? How long did it last did the rash get worse before it got better ? Yes he has been to the doctor just needing some reassurance

Has the doc seen the rash? If not, then you should take the baby in.

My oldest got a rash with strep. It went away after about 2-3 days of antibiotics. Totally normal for a rash to appear with strep. But if it doesn’t go away after a few days of treatment for the strep, revisit the doctor.
My kid gets a rash after strep almost everytime. It is harmless and takes about 3 to 5 days to go away. As long as the fever is gone don’t stress. If it ever bugs him, I give him an oatmeal bath, but usually it doesn’t bother him. Doctor has said multiple times it is normal.

My son got scarlett fever right after he had strep.

If the rash stays in between the waist and neck its fine but if it spreads to legs arms or face you need to take your child to ER immediately it most likely is Scarlett Fever, especially watch for a fever. Both my kids and I have had Scarlett Fever. I was told by a doctor that Scarlett Fever can be produced from Strep Throat, if its not treated quickly enough or treated at all.

The rash lasted a couple days and I would take the baby in because Scarlett fever can come up also!
Hey this is my post ! Yes he has gone to the doctor was there Tuesday afternoon that’s when he started getting the rash and was tested for strep came back positive , he doesn’t seem bothered by it but was just looking for some reassurance my oldest gets strep but no rash so this is new to me and scary 
My son gets it everytime thats how i know he has strep. It will go away in about 2 to 5 days after antibiotics. Its nothing to worry about just how it does.

My daughter had the strep rash that turned into Scarlett fever ! I’d watch it very very close it was misdiagnosed 4 times before a children’s hospital finally tested for it
That was my son’s only symptom of strep once. He had no fever, still eating normal, but developed a rash. After a few days of antibiotics it disappeared

My son had strep last year but I didnt even know he was sick like that until i took him in bc he had a rash. Literally my only experience with strep so theres that too lol
