My whole family is allergic to cows milk. What can I give me soon to be one year old?
My 2 year old has a cows milk allergy and she has this one xx
Goats milk? Soy milk? Dr might have other options
Oat milk is really nice. That’s what me and my daughter uses x
Soy milk is what I used for my kids they have it at aldi
Soy milk or oat milk . My son is allergic to dairy and loves soy .
Is it just the lactose? You can get Lactaid or similar. If it’s more than that, nut milks, oat milk, soy milk (though soy can be another allergen).
Is it a milk allergy or lactose intolerance? If it’s a milk allergy then nothing. Make sure they get calcium in other ways. Or use whatever you use as a milk substitute. If it’s an intolerance then I prefer fairlife lactose free milk. I find a lot of other lactose free milks are sweet which means my Raisin Bran tastes disgusting. Milk isn’t necessary you can add other things into your diet to help. If you’re concerned you can have some labs drawn occasionally to check levels.
Technically you don’t have to give baby any milk after 1 if they are getting those vitamins in food. What does the rest of the family use?
Lactose free milk. It’s really good
I did Kabrita till 2. I made my own formula later still goat milk based.
We have milk allergies in our family. We use almond milk mostly. I also get juiced fortified with calcium & vitamin D.
There’s a big difference lactose intolerance & various types of milk allergies. My daughter is listed as allergic to milk at school. They gave her almond milk for awhile. Then the nurse ir someone decided it’s lactose so now they make her take the lactose free milk which she can’t drink, other kids won’t take so it gets trashed daily.
