Hi mamas. Ive been on the IUD for 3 months. My period is 8 days late. I’ve taken 3 pregnancy tests and all came back negative. Has anyone else had something similar happen to them? OB says unlikely but to wait a few weeks to see if my period comes.

If you have the mirena it will pretty much stop the periods

I have the mirena iud and havent had a period in almost 4years I got it after my 2 child was born

I am on my third Mirena, have not had a period since 2005. It freaked me out in the beginning too. Doctor says it is all fine, have had no issues

When i had an iud a few periods were light at first then they disappeared

If you have the mirena no period copper you will still get one

Did you spot through the first 3 months?
Mirena basically stopped my periods. It was nice as hell

When I had my mirena iud, i didn’t have a period for 5 years.
My IUD stopped my period. But I had Mirena for 5 years.

I have only had my period once with my iud
Wait another week and taken the test I would take a test at the clinic just be sure
Depending on the IUD your peroid may not happen at all. Or light spotting. I had 2 mirenas and never had a peroid with them
