What chores does your 7.5 year-old have?
I think I need to give my 8, nearly 9 year old some x
Noneâ:joy: other than cleaning her own mess up I donât make her do anything else as thatâs not her job to do MY OPINION!!!
Vacuuming
Light dishes
Sweeping
Cleaning their room
Making their bed every morning
Folding and putting their clothes away
My 7 year old is responsible to keep her own room clean, and make her bed. She gives the dogs food and water, wipes off the table after dinner, brings her own laundry basket down and takes care of her own folded laundry. She also does easy little chores once in awhile like wiping down the light switches or front of the dishwasher. Lots of âwiping stuffâ chores lol. Oh and she loves dusting in her own way. I think she just likes using the Swiffer Duster.
Unload dishwasher, clean/vacuum there room, sort washing in to piles. I get my son out on the whipper snipper while I mow the lawn. And just to be helpful around the house.
My 7 year old unloads dishwasher, sweeps, folds blankets, and wipes surfaces
Take out the trash
Clean their room
Load/unload the dishwasher
Sweep the floor
Help with laundry
Dusting
Take-out trash load/unload dishwasher make bed vacuum laundry.
I donât remember exactly their ages, but I think my daughter was about that age (her brother would have been around 10) that I developed a chore chart for them. They learned how to clean bathrooms and vacuum, and also take care of their own laundry. As soon as they were tall enough to reach the bottom of the top load washer, they did their own. By the time they graduated HS they knew how to manage the every day as adults. It takes some time and patience to teach them, but Iâm a firm believer in teaching independence. I am always their mom but I am not their servant
My 7year old daughter has clean her room (put toys in toy box, make bed), fold and put away her clothes after I wash them (she doesnât wash/dry as weâre in a triplex and the laundry room is outside of our apartment), and a sheâs to shower herself (we turn on water and help her with the door as our door sucks lol)
Feeds the dog, letâs the dog outside, puts his dishes in the sink, clean his room, put his own clothes away after I fold them. Thatâs about it I honestly am trying to get him to do more but I donât trust him to do things right
