What do you craft?

Question for those who craft…what do you make? Do you just do it for a hobby or do you sell it & make money? I used to cricut (I get in & out of it). I’m starting to get into car freshies but looking for something else. I’m really looking for something that’s popular & I could make some extra money.

I make a little bit of everything. My favorite is woodworking. I’ve done tumblers, decals, painting, molds, glass etching, etc. I mostly make for gifts, and ‘just because’.

This one girl in my hometown is a one stop shop of everything, lol. She make car freshners at one time but with whatever pictures on each side that we sent to her. Than she had certain smells to choose from.

I don’t craft but love to buy from
Those who do !

Made jewelry to feel useful and stave off depression while unemployed. I was President of Gilty Treasures! Web site, craft shows, etc. didn’t earn me much at all. Gave it up once I was employed again. Gave away most of it. Donated all the beads, findings, etc. to another crafter.

I crochet. So far I have only made things to as presents but maybe one day I’ll try for a booth at a craft fair :slightly_smiling_face: I’m still learning!! Crochet is very popular there’s money to be made in it!

I sew, quilt, glass fusing in a kiln, weave rugs on a loom, paint on canvas’. I sell some and gift some.

Glitter pens, welcome signs, tumblers.

I make resin items, customized cups, tshirts, bags, diamond arts, jewelry

For money go for Uber/Lyft, computer work, home improvement like painting or construction if you can get certified. Drive a school bus. They’re desperate for drivers. Maybe baby clothes, doll clothes or quilts if you can sew. If you can embroider, personalize them for an extra cost. Maybe do a few and then do commissions for custom designs, colors, or patterns.

if you sell, please get your paperwork in order to do so. a lady that used to live in my neighbor didn’t & the ITS fines her and liquidated her assets. she wasn’t reporting the extra money like she was supposed to and (IDK why people don’t believe this but) they literally have people who work for them that monitor online activity for things like this. that’s how she got figured out. they actually sent somebody to buy something she was making.

also, something’s that popular gets over saturated in the market quickly bc everybody is doing it. that’s what happened with cricut. (i’ve been selling shirts and tumblers for years before people started really doing so in the last 5 years or so).
