What do y’all do when you’re 2 year old won’t go to sleep when you put her in her bed? Do you let her come out of her room or no? She stays on her bed but plays with her toys and talks
Nope, bed time is bed time we don’t get up and down.
Ive got no issue with him self settling, talking to himself or his toys for a while but bedtime is bedtime and it’s time to wind down.
Letting them get up and down and not having consistent routine will have them running riot
My kid takes a 1mg Melatonin every night at 9pm so I don’t have any issues with his sleep schedule, he’s always out by 9:30.
My 2 year old will sit in her bed for 20 mins or so until she lays down and goes to sleep. I think it creates imagination and independence. She is in her room door shut so she can’t get out.
I’m a Co sleeper so what I do is at 8:30 pm we off to bed, I put on some cartons for about 15/20 minutes then TV off and it’s sleeping time sometime I have to give a bit more comforting to relax him then by 8:45 or 9ish his asleep
Of course she won’t stay in bed, she’s 2,get a consistent bedtime routine.Mine was…clean up toys, dinner , bath, brush teeth, Cuddle/story time, drink, potty ,into bed.
If she’s on her bed quiet leave her alone. She will get tired and fall asleep. Check on her little later to make sure she’s good.
And that’s why my kids never had toys in their rooms. We had a playroom. And the only things in their bedrooms were beds, dressers and “special” items (security stuffies, sound machine, night light). Bed time is bed time. No devices, no TV, no toys.
