What does an inverted nipple mean?

Hi! I wanted to run something past you mamas before I make a call to my GP. I’ve been exclusively pumping for about 2 months now. I went to pump just a few minutes ago and noticed my nipple looked very strange! It was inverted! After a small amount of rubbing it went back to normal. I went to Dr. Google and the first thing that popped up was breast cancer. I of course will not assume until I see the doctor, but wondered if this has happened to any of you breastfeeding/pumping mamas?

So the reason breast cancer comes up is because when the breast tissue enlarges it can pull the nipple in. In your case the most likely cause is from your breast enlarging from milk production. You can always consult your Dr. but I bet you’re fine.

How is the exclusively pumping going?
