What does mucus plug look like?

I am 36 weeks pregnant with my 2nd. My 1st was wedged in my pelvis so I never went into labor before going to the hospital to get an aversion done. I went to the dr yesterday and he said I was 1.5 cm dilated. I have since started having a little more discharge. Does that mean I am losing my mucus plug?

You can lose bits of your mucus plug and it grows back

Also in prior pregnancies I was 2-3 cm at 35 weeks and ended up not delivering til 38 weeks

I lost a massive piece of my mucus plug at 33 weeks. :grin: doctor said not to worry

You can lose it in pieces and it come grow back but you will definitely know when it’s your mucus plug without a doubt
