What helps night terrors and nightmares in toddlers?!! My almost 3 year old is at the phase where he’s scared of the dark and seems like he gets scared of his closet at night. There has been a few times he’s had night terrors too, but not very often. What can I do to help this? We just moved and still need to get a new pediatrician…

Give him a spray bottle with water in it and make a label for it called monster spray. Let him spray the closet or whatever before bed. Give him a nightlight, one that moves and makes stars or something different to focus on.

That isn’t night terrors. With night terrors they aren’t actually awake and won’t remember anything in the morning. A routine, nightlight, checking on him every 15 mins or so, and melatonin for a short period of time can all be helpful.
