What is something special I can do for my ex who has a baby on the way?

Have your kids make baby keepsakes

Cant go wrong with diapers and wipes

Nappy cakes are awesome. I made one for a friend of mine. Get the kids to pick a towel, flannel, dummy, clothes, baby blanket, couple of soft toys. Pack a few essentials you wish you had after giving birth, chocolate, stretch mark cream, half decent moisturiser, a waxing voucher.

It definitely doesn’t have to be anything big or expensive. Just your thoughtfulness will mean so much. My go to baby shower gift is usually a cute container/tub from dollar tree with bath stuff. Baby wash, lotion, towels, rubber duckies …

Some pjs that the top buttons up ! If she intends to breastfeed then that will be suuuuper helpful ! I got a friend of mine some for $20 from postie plus for her baby shower (plus other things) the pjs were
A hit !! I am also now loaded with button up pjs after having my boy, was all I wore for the first few weeks

You can never have to many blankets or diapers or a bag full of clothes starting from newborn to 12 months. I got that when my daughter was born I couldn’t be more happy

It you crochet or quilt perhaps one of those. They are cosy.

Oh and clean hand me downs that are in good shape. They grow so fast.

Maybe wait for the gender an name reveals and can have the older kids make something with child’s name on it can hang in baby’s room and will be special cause made by older siblings

Something nice for the new Mama. I think he would be blown away by that.

This by far was my favorite gift that my GF made( this is something I just found on the Internet but it’s close to what you made me). Plus it won’t cost you much and it’ll have everything that she could need when the baby arrives until she can go buy more. All you need to do is take paper towel rolls and tape them together in a circle, buy a box of diapers, bottles, teething rings, onesie, baby shampoo, lotion, diaper rash meds, ribbon and start tying everything on!!

Firstly, I think it’s absolutely lovely that this is the type of relationship and family set up that you have! And like someone above said, I think a gift basket with soaps, wipes, nappies, shampoos etc would be a lovely little gesture! Xx

Clothes

Gift cards. Can’t go wrong there. It also helps eliminate buying ziff that baby potentially couldn’t use due to possible allergy problems. My kids were allergic to some diapers and a certain type of wipes.

Do a baby shower and invite family and his friends as well as yours

A welcome basket with baby essentials like soap, shampoo, wipes, etc. Doesn’t have to be fancy. It’s thoughtful.

Get a laundry basket and fill it things they can use. Thermometer, comb and brush, nose bulb, bottle brushes etc. A lot of people don’t think of the small things. I also bought stick on letters and put the babies name on the basket. For the baby clothes only. Hope this helps.
