Your milk didn’t “come in early”. Colostrum is produced during pregnancy, beginning around 12-18wk of pregnancy.

Your body doesn’t get the signal to make mature milk until the placenta detaches.

If you are not currently nursing or pumping for a young child, you should NOT begin pumping prior to 39wk of pregnancy or without doctor approval.

A good hands free pump is a MomCozy S12 Pro. However, if you plan to exclusively pump it is not effective enough and you’ll need a wall pump like a Spectra S1 or S2.

I have Momcozy! I love it since it’s wireless and can literally pump anywhere since I’m a very active mom as well with 2 daughters in elementary school as well and my 7 week old.

I think before I go into my preferences I think you should get your Dr’s approval to pump early because pumping can lead to labor.

It’s always good to have a pump that connects to the wall as your main pump especially if you plan on pumping regularly. Hands free wireless pumps may not pull out all the milk but if you’re able to have baby latch that’s not too much of an issue. I’ve never been able tonget my baby to latch. I’m on my 3rd exclusively pumping for at 8 months. Spectra 2 and my medela are my go to. I haven’t tried the spectra 1 as I hear it can be charged, I haven’t had an opportunity to get one or I’d really love to try that. Mom cozy sounds amazing for times I need to pump but also need to be cooking for my family. Because the medela is lighter I store it a lot in a small cooler and take it with when we go on trips that I will need to pump for. I do have a $50 pair of wearables but honestly they hurt and doesn’t pull out as much as I know I should and the last time I wore them I got a badly blocked duct that took me almost 2 weeks to heal and my supply hasn’t been the same since.

I loved my spectra s2, and I had medela pump in style. Make sure to get fitted by lactation consultant at hospital for correct size flange. It makes all the difference in the world to use correct size.

Pumping during pregnancy can cause the baby to come early. I would suggest getting a let down catcher so the colostrum your producing can be frozen for bubs in the future. I used a Tommy tippie/ closer to nature manual pump for this and just let it stay suctioned to the breast and didn’t squeeze the pump. I have heard good things about the medela pump but never used it myself. I used the tommie tippie/ closer to nature single pump. My best tip is to go double pump. I hated the single as it took so long and as my bub wouldn’t latch to the breast she was bottle fed breast milk so it kept me from doing other things for longer

Get a portable one that can go in your bra!! Its soooo much more convenient than sitting down and being tied down to a pump several times a day. I also don’t think you’re suppose to pump while pregnant still! But i could be wrong

Aeroflow gives free pumps with your insurance and I’m sure there are other companies that do as well. And congratulations! U were like me. 2 boys then finally had my babygirl. I’m 11 weeks PP. I use the zomee hope I spelled it right
