I know everyone’s different, but I know what kind of birth control u think is good and some side effect?
Just don’t have sex. I haven’t used birth control for years. My husband and I had ONE night to ourselves and did adult things. Here I am… PREGNANT
Nexplanon. Implanted in your arm, change it out every 3 years. I love it! I haven’t had side effects but I never have with any birth control
My sister and best friend swear by nexplenon. I had a horrible reaction to it. It sounds amazing and from what I hear it is amazing for many people. I’m just one of the unlucky ones who reacts poorly to it. I am breastfeeding and started the pill my milk dropped horribly so I stopped it. before having my baby I preferred taking seasonique only one period every three months it was amazing.
Iud for me was great had it in for 4 years period was painful tho but only lasted 1-2 days I didn’t get it every month but I never got pregnant took it out on March 2019 and got pregnant April 2020.
See if he can get fixed.
Condoms are the only birth control I’ll use since I’ll never use hormonal birth control again. They all have a long list of side effects that can be quite nasty.
Im on nexplanon and i love it
I dont get periods, neither does my sister, its proven to be the most effective form of BC beyond not having sex, its minimally invasive and you forget its even there lmao
Only thing im not a fan of is its hard to keep weight off but its that or risk more babies lmao
I got pregnant on the pill and on paragard. And after having Mirena for less than a year before removing it, we’re struggling to conceive Never touching birth control again.
A tubal lol
But in all seriousness before I had a tubal I had the nexplanon & I really liked it. Gained a little weight on it but that was it as far as side effects. My period was still consistent every month as well.
What y’all think about the arm implant?
I take depo and I love it no side effects no periods nothing cramps once in great while but not often and it’s every three months
The best kind of birth control is the best kind for your body ask your OB. What’s best for one person may not be best for you. Like if you smoke you probably need to stay away from the pill because it could cause strokes. if you already have a weight problem you’ll probably need to stay away from the depo it causes severe weight gain. Definitely talk to your OB and see which would be best in your case
Not Mirena had nothing but health problems and worse periods since it was removed
I love the depo. Besides the difficulty of losing weight I have no problems with it. Plus I have no periods except when I am due for my next shot
I have an IUD. It’s good because it lasts 5 years and you don’t have to keep up with the pill and I haven’t gained weight or anything . Downside is it hurts like a bitch sometimes and the cramps are crazy sometimes . I’d rather have the cramps sometimes than be pregnant though !!! Lol. Everything is different for everyone though ! Ask your dr !
I had paragard for 7yrs. Had it removed and was pregnant within 2 weeks.
Please talk to a ob/gynecologist. I have a friend whose daughter in law was on something that was suggested by a friend. She told her doctor it was what she wanted because all her friends recommended it. I will not call the name of it…long story short…it caused her to have a stroke…she almost died. Was in hospital for quite a while. If you have a dr talk to him. Everyone is different.
For permanent I got my tubes tied it’s what worked best for our family. I also use depo shot for other reasons, I’ve used in past and easiest for me doesn’t take remembering daily like pill and doesn’t have side effects like IUD or arm implant.
I’m on the pill daysee I only get a period once every three months and no nausea which is great cause several others made me super sick
Everyone is different. What works for some may not work for you, so its always best to get the advice of a medical professional.
Depo. I havent had a period in 4 years which means it’s working perfectly from what my doctor says but ive also put on 35 or 40 pounds since I started it 4 years ago. Weight gain is a side effect but my doc can’t tell me for certain if my weight gain was caused by the depo or me getting older because I didnt put on the weight over time its been a slow come on over the last 4 years almost like I just packed on that holiday pudge and never took it back off and it jist added up over the years. But also it kinda killed my sex drive. Like I want it way less and when I do want it its always at a point I cant get none like the kids are awake or the hubby is asleep.
It’s not natural or healthy to stop your cycle. There is a reason for this. Also just for info my daughter got pregnant while on depo shot.
I preferred the nuvaring - no periods if left in 4 weeks, no chance of forgetting it, and it did not upset my stomach like the pill.
IUD
I have PCOS with EXTREMELY heavy and long periods.
I have virtually nothing now, on my second, going on 6 years. Out of all I’ve tried, hands down, the best!!
I have a implant in my arm good for 5 years positive is no period after a few months
Implant in arm, good for three years, no side affects notice
I would recommend the coil definitely.
I was on the depo for years but they do say after so long it can thin your bones,so after a while they don’t like you to stay on it.
I’m getting my nexplanon removed in the morning after bleeding for nearly a year straight. Plus it broke in half in my arm. Some people love it buts it’s been hell the entire time I’ve had it. I loved my IUD and I’m planning on going back to it.
The best kind of birth control is abstinence.
I’ve used 2 different kinds of pills, both resulted in shorter and lighter periods.
I stopped them, had kids, then got an IUD. It hurt the moment they put it in. I am super sensitive, and could feel it. Sex became unpleasant for me, and I had them remove it somewhere around maybe 7 months later because I couldn’t bare it anymore. Side effects for me, were pain and discomfort, and irregular to almost no periods.
Every body is different. Talk to your Dr about what’s best for you, but do keep in mind that the body was made to do that. Maybe start to keep track of your cycle, and then only do the deed on the days your not ovulating. Good luck.
I have the 10 year iud. It has been the best for me so far. I don’t do well with hormones from all other birth controls. Plus it doesn’t affect my weight. Only Side effects I’ve had is heavy cramping once in a while.
First off be very careful with the IUD. I had it for about 4 years and without knowing it moved out of place and I got pregnant. Not knowing until I was miscarrying. It’s very dangerous because I had no idea it had shifted at all. I have been on the depo shot for 6 months now and it’s been the best. Did have my period first 6 months that lasted 2 weeks but much lighter and hardly any cramps. They said it was normal. Now I have zero periods. Have no issues with weight gain I’ve actually lost 15 lbs. you just have to stay in control of your cravings because it can increase your appetite. But over all definitely talk to a doctor as they can better point you in the right direction for your body’s needs
Had a bilateral salpingectomy…aka tubes removed completely. Still have periods, but the plumbing is broken so no chance of pregnancy. I have 2 girls and no help with them whatsoever bc all my family has passed away and he works 6 days a week 12hr days, I couldn’t raise another solo parenting so its the best option for us.
I like my Nexplanon. Felt suicidal for a week, but no side effects after that. Well, only had two light periods in like 9 months, but that’s a positive in my opinion.
I’ve had the mirena and the depo shot! Love them both. I got acne with the mirena all the time. I’m a little bit more moody on the depo shot. Only side effects i had. No period on either after first 3 months. I’ve been on both, 5 years each.
I have the paraguard IUD ( no hormones and lasts 10 years). This is the 2nd time having it. I would recommend.
When I was young I used the patch but I used that to control my periods also. Later on I used depo but having to see gyno all the time was meh. Now using Mirena…its no side effects and easy
yasmin the pill.
I’ve been on many different ones over the years, this one is by far the best. Mirena was the WORST!! SO many issues from it.
Implant in arm again,Nexplanon.2nd time having it.No periods or negative side effects for me
I’ve had the Nexplanon for 10 years. Best thing ever.
Wearing socks with sandals
I had IUD Marina… loved it… love no periods
Tubes burned and tied, fool proof. No slip ups. It’s worked for 44yrs for me.
I had mirena iud after I had my daughter in 2010-2014 no problems
Vasectomy. It’s outpatient, reversible, and effective. Birth control isn’t just a woman’s responsibility.
Nexplanon for me as well! Had it for 10 years. No periods and no crazy side effects
Ive had mirena for about 4 yrs now. I like it. I just get really sad over stupid crap like sappy live movies and start crying lol
Personally, the patch worked best for me.
The withdrawal method, side effect-pregnancy!!
iv been on the depo for almost 8 years now with no issues
This is a question for your doctor.
Ortho-novum777 worked best for me. No side effects, and it’s a tried and true birth control.
My husband got a vasectomy 5 years ago and for us it was the right choice since we already had 4 kids and all 4 were delivered via csection…
It was an easy outpatient procedure for him.
Ablation w/ tube removal. No kids, no periods. Win win!
Never judge a book by its cover, I had always talked rubbish about the spiritual healers because i was living a luxurious life with my husband and kids. I never believed that anyone can solve someone’s problems. I could rudely reply to the posts about the healers with insults little didi know that one day they will help me. It started when a strange disease attacked one of my kid for almost eight months. I visited all the hospitals in Europe but the doctors couldn’t see the disease. I went to pastors, Sheiks, Sisters, and priests but couldn’t see any change. I sold all of my properties and lost my business because I was charged lots of money. I went back to Zero. My husband was used to a luxurious life since he was coming from a rich family. He started losing interest in me, disrespected me, insulted me in our kids’ presence, all my in-laws hate me. I had no shoulder to cry on.I was left with no hope. The most heartbreaking part is when my husband started cheating on me with one of the member of Parliament which I won’t mention her name. I got depressed and tried to commit suicide until when my friend asked me to contact papa marere . I had lost hope and besides didn’t trust healers. I called them scammers. My friend used his cellphone and called him. he gave him a date to go to her office and on that date, my friend picked me very early in the morning and took me there. I explained everything to him. he asked us to go back and bring the sick kid and we did so. he cast his spells and after a few hours, my son was healed. And he also told me that my husband will return that he has settled that After a few weeks my husband came back home and apologized to me. he gave me a ring for my business and as I speak now am not complaining. I got back everything.+2348109805184 is his number for help. Email him via ( marerespells@gmail. com ) he is INCREDIBLE.
Abstinence. Only thing that’s 100%.
Abstinence or a vasectomy . I have had bad reactions to every single type of birth control wound up getting a tubal and now my body is having reactions to that wish I never would have done it but I can’t go back on it now I have been on birth control hormonal and non-hormonal I’ve been on the same that they put in your arm and also the ones that they put inside your uterus that looks like a t you name it I’ve been on it I’ve had bad reactions to all of them so to each his own
I will not go on any new birth control. I’ve only had the Mirena and the side effects were so bad I got it removed after 6 months (they made me keep it in until 6 months and at that point I finally convinced them to let me get it removed)
My husband and I agree it’s just not worth the risk of having my body respond that way again
Kyleena, non hormonal, actually helped me quite a bit and I didn’t have a period. It was quite amazing. You can have it up to either 3 years or 5 years I don’t remember. You can get it removed at ANY time. It is a IUD.
Birth control is just awful. buy definitely talk with your obgyn on what they believe would be best for you, I wouldn’t take recommendations from others just because there are so many different ones and many factors come in to play for what is best for you.
After I took hormonal birth control pills in my 20s, I never felt like my heart was as strong after that but I have no proof. I just didn’t feel like I had the same aerobic capacity as before and the effects were permanent.
I have the one in your arm cause I suck at taking pills … Been trying a couple dif ones to get a period every month and I still don’t in this one… I was told the side effects are alot of spotting and weight gain and if you are over 200 lbs then it’s not likely to work well … my body didn’t have any of these and I actually lost weight… it’s really just on the person … try the simple ones is all I can suggest … I’m sorry and good luck !
I like the Rithom method best !! But gee it’s hard to find a band at 2 or 3 in the morning!!
Depends on if you’re looking for temporary or permanent, hormone manipulating or natural.
I have an iud and after a little pain few weeks now I am happy with it.
My daughter likes the xulane patch putun one a week for 3 weeks off for one for her period. No weight gain
