I am not a momma yet, but I am hoping to become one on the next year or so. I’ve been told it isnt too early to start taking prenatal vitamins. What’s a good otc brand? Anything else I can do now to prepare my body to carry?
I take the Spring Valley ones that Walmart carries. They’re not super expensive and I believe they helped me to get pregnant!!
Idn where you live but here in canada Canada sobeyes has a program where they give you prenatels for a year free .
Smart!!! Go see a Doctor, I hear their favorite patients are the ones that come in before getting pregnant!!
I like One a Day. They are small as I hate pills. My youngest is 13 and I still take them. Great for skin, hair and nails
The gummy ones usually don’t have iron so I don’t recommended those for pregnancy in case anyone tries to say gummies, check the label.
I have to take the gummy ones as they do not have iron. I can’t have extra iron so those ones work best for me during pregnancy! Plus they taste yumm!
I had been TTC for years. I was on daily prenatals for almost a full year before it finally happened. I was doing everything I could to get my body ready, even cutting soda and my overly-sweetened coffee habits. Ended up having an easy pregnancy, for the most part. Little bugger spent the entire time squeezing the life out of my bladder. I was going to the bathroom 5 or 6 times a night.
I used the gummies, the capsules smelled like dog food to me
Ive been taking the flinstone vitamins with iron added in them. Spring valley is alsona good brand.
Meijer does free prescription prenatals, I recommend those!
It really doesnt matter which ones you take as long as they have a good amount of folic acid that’s what your baby needs most in the early stages
I take nature made prenatal multi+DHA. I was buying the cheaper ones thinkin they were all the same, but some.of the cheaper ones lack some.vitamins and I ended up having to take extra vitamin and mineral supplements
I recommend eating non processed foods as much as you can and getting lots of rest. Prenatal s is a great start. Good luck with everything!
