After you have a C-section what are some of the best tips and tricks of stuff to buy and use that made your life 1000 times easier? What made recovery so much easier?
The best thing you can do for your recovery is get up and get moving as soon as possible. Being active helps so much
Get up and move a soon as you can. Helps a ton
I agree with getting up and moving around… also, firmly holding a pillow to your abdomen any time you need to sneeze, cough, etc. helps a lot.
Get an abdomen binder if your dr says it’s okay, it helps so much
This time I had an electric recliner that lifted. Game changer
Be mobile, plenty fluids. I’m 8wk on and solo parent so had no choice. Plenty snacks in. And Easy meals.
Belly binder.
And get tf up quickly. And often.
Even though it hurts, try to stand up straight.
Recliner, with crib or swing by you. But if a swing don’t bend over to pick baby up, squat. And mine had to constantly be moving to sleep so the swing had a vibrate function. I was almost dead twice after my c section so I couldn’t hold the baby a lot due to how weak and sick and sleepy I was otherwise I would have sat and rocked. And baggy sweatpants. I didn’t have a problem getting up and down and walking around. My issue was bending to the swing or over the side of the crib that’s why I suggest squat. And FYI I’m 11 years post c section and when my child cries or gets hurt I get shooting pains in the scar, otherwise it’s mild irritation now and then. I have a friend 40 and 35 years post c section and she has the same issues with hers still…
