Ouch, I had them when I was pregnant with my now 4yr old. I seriously wanted to just rip my vagina off. My doctor gave me a lidocaine cream that barely took the edge off. I basically lived in a hot bath for about 3 months. I had back labor with my son so by time I went I to labor I forgot all about the VV and wanted to rip my spine out. I’m currently almost done with my 6th pregnancy and have only had VV once, thank the sweet baby Jesus!

I hope you can find more relief than I did.

I don’t have vulvar varicose veins however the ones on my legs are BAD I am preg with baby #8 and standing or walking can be hell. Dr said something about compressor socks? So maybe try to see if you can find similar in some 100% cotton undies? Ice seems to help take down some of the inflammation and pain of the leg so maybe try to do what they do for pregnancy after care about the use of frozen pads for pain? Or even that stuff called demoplast (I think it is called) that helps with pain.

I bought really loose panties and I iced and used heat on my groin when relaxing! Obviously easier said that done but try to relax and put your feet up when you can! It was so painful as im a nurse who was working in a pandemic. Didn’t affect my labour at all and honestly it felt instantly better after birth! Doctor did say I could get full leg compression socks, said it wouldn’t make it go away but it could stop it from getting worse.

Compression panties of you can. It sucks but it goes away after you give birth.

Ive only experienced them in my current 3rd pregnancy. My no it all midwife said it was passed down to me from parents. But it clearly updated me on my pregnancy app, that those veins are common in pregnancy. Horrid looking things. I just live with them now, there not as bad but rise out every now and again but are not bad. I get cramps alot in the 1 leg so maybe that side is having trouble with blood flow. Hope you find relief n gets better soon.

VEIN SPECIALIST MEDICAL ASSISTANT HERE!! Compression stockings can help with any pain or discomfort that you are having. Also, elevating your legs and making sure to stay away from heat. Heat causes the veins to expand which in turn causes the legs to hurt more because of the blood flow to them multiplying. Try ice, a cold towel. There are some procedures that can be done while pregnant for leg veins and some that have to wait! Look into a vein surgeon or specialist around you. They can give you more guidance… and best part a lot of it is covered by insurance!! If it’s vulvar, talk to your OB!
