What would happen if a bus hit my car?

If a bus hit my car while I was parked at school, dropping off my kid in the morning, do they pay? If so, do I need to provide my insurance information with them?

Depends on where it happen.

I’ve seen a car park in the no parking zone and the bus clipped the side mirror and the owner of the car got nothing.

Should have called the police and had them pull bus camera and do a report. After the fact all you can do is call the bus garage that covers the districts busses and give them the bus number. They will pull that buses cameras and view the footage to see who’s at fault. If deemed you were where you were allowed to be and the bus in fact did hit you then yes their insurance will do a payout. Luckily buses all have cameras to prove if the driver really did do something wrong and hit because way to many people try to claim the driver did something or hit them all because they know the districts have payout policies.

My mom was a bus driver. The bus driver must report to their boss right away and boss should get your information license registration and get the ball rolling for you. If they hit you they should pay but it does matter where you were parked.

Yes you need to share your insurance information

Remember, back pain is nearly impossible to prove  Take them for all they are worth. Get your school taxes back at least

Bus. Plane or train yes you gave to provide you drivers lic and ins. No matter where it happened

Of course but there is a chance the bus driver might not have even noticed they hit you so that’s why they kept driving, take pics of the damage for your insurance and go into the school and tell them which bus number etc and get their insurance info.

If they hit you you get their insurance they don’t get yours. Call an attorney

Yea of course you need to provide your insurance information
The only way you’re gonna get paid is if you have insurance and the other driver was at fault
Your insurance companies will sort it out

You give your information they give theirs and you have the police come to file a report. That is the law.
