What's it like getting breast implants?

This might be a really weird question, so please no negitive comments. Ive always had small breasts and after having my LO and ending breastfeeding my boobs are significantly smaller than they were pre-pregnancy. I just hate them so much. Lately I have been thinking about getting implants, but im worried about when I have another little if it will be a problem to breastfeed. Have any mommas had implants and breastfed? Is it even possible?

Totally possible, from what I’ve read

I have implants and it was much harder to breast feed with them than without them with my first two. But i have heard most people shouldn’t have an issue

Bad idea you can’t breastfeed with them

You can, as long as you go to a very reputable surgeon so your ducts do not get damaged, which I’ve heard is rare but does happen. Good luck!

I know of someone who has implants and then had a child, she mentioned that it was doable but slightly more difficult, and that it may have messed with her supply

Your breasts will come back it’s just that the fat from your pre-pregnancy breasts was sucked off by your hungry little one. When you go back to normal your boobs will start coming back little by little

I felt insecure and negative about my breasts after my son. I got my nipples pierced! I feel so confident and sexy now! A little less permanent and a little less dangerous than implants. Also, doesn’t hurt and the recovery time is a lot shorter… maybe look at other ways to make yourself feel more confident before resorting to altering your body like that.

Wait til you are done having kids to get implants.

Never had implants, actually had a breast reduction. But if you’re considering implants, please research breast implant illness before making a decision. Not that it will happen to you but it can and it’s great to be informed on all the positive and negatives to choosing implants.

I’d imagine it would probably make it less comfortable since your skin only stretches so much, but its doable. I don’t have implants but it won’t make you unable to breastfeed. I’m just thinking how quickly you’ll engorge having implants and being full of milk.

You def can. I know quite a few moms who have gotten implants and successfully breastfed their babies. You just gotta have them put under the muscle, and no incisions around the nipples.

I went completely flat after my milk dried up with each pregnancy. Once my weight and horomones balanced out they always came back. But do what makes you feel good about yourself. Just do your research…with reputable doctors not opinions on FB.

Ill wait until im done with kids tho. All that stretching and shrinking will make for some perfect implant pockets.

I would wait until you’re forsure done having kids otherwise future pregnancies could “ruin” them and you might have to get them redone

My friend did. You have to get them under the muscle and you can still breastfeed.

My friends brother told her she was going to feed her baby hello lol . But for real yes you can but because you have the implants in it might change how your breast will produce milk. It could stop it from happening or not. Also your boobs will get bigger and change shape and size which could make your implants drop or look wired after . I would wait if you can

Hunny you’re beautiful just like you are ;”)

I would recommend not getting implants

I had small breasts and had implants after breastfeeding 2 kids. I’ve breastfed 4 kids after they were put in with no problems. My implants were put in behind the muscle if that makes a difference. They are still perky and no weird shape lol

Yes you can breastfeed and have implants…my mom did until I was 3

I have them, you can breastfeed with them. 3 kids, 2 since getting the boobs back in shape and I could breastfeed, I bottle fed tho… nothing to do with the implants, just my choice

I’ve been reading a lot about implants going wrong or just aging badly in bodies. Social media may just be recycling back to it but I wouldn’t even risk it lol. Not trying to put you off, mama, just my opinion on it. When I was younger I wanted bigger breasts but I’ve got little decent boobies and have come to love them lol

I have implants but I didnt breastfeed cause I have a cyst that caused me not to be able to but I have always been told if u get the implants behind the muscle it is easier to breastfeed.

You need to appreciate what God gave you some people don’t even get that

I wish I had smaller breast I’m a 36dd and have 2 breast reductions you really dont want bigger breasts it’s a hassle and no guy looks you in the eye

I have no advice on that but I’ll gladly give you my big boobs :joy: I hate them and the problems they cause. My back kills me, can’t wear cute bras, shirts fit weird.

Can you just get a Wonderbra?

Maybe wait till after your done having kids to treat your self? I’d get implants just so I didn’t have to wear a bra lol. Maybe try something else to boost your confidence? Like a tattoo or piercing

My sister has implants and was able to breastfeed her twins who are now 2.5yo

I’d gladly give you my huge boobs, they’re so big I was only able to breastfeed for a couple months, and that was because I pumped. My breasts were too big for my baby to latch.

Girl I’m with you! I’m not even done breastfeeding yet and I already feel like my boobs are smaller/deflated! I can still fit into my old bras from before pregnancy but because my boobs don’t have any life in them any more they don’t fit right. I’m waiting until after I’m 100% sure we’re done having kids to get my boobs done just to be sure it’s a one and done procedure and won’t need them fixed again. But it sounds like many moms have had no issues with breastfeeding with implants. Just be sure to find a GREAT surgeon

I felt like mine were deflated before even having a baby and now that I’ve been breastfeeding for 9 months, it shows. I don’t even want to know what they’ll look like after. My confidence is at an all time low. And I don’t have small boobs, but they’re not huge either. I’m considering getting implants after I’m done having kids to reduce the risk of needing to get them fixed again. That’s one of the main things I read, that even with them, you still go through all the stages of swelling and “sagging” and some people say they don’t look as good as they did before they breastfed again compared to after.
