When can I use regular shampoo on my toddler?

I actually googled this question last night. :joy: Getting ready to switch my boys to actual shampoo once they start letting me actually rinse their hair.

I use the free and clear suave kids on my 1 year old it smells bomb and cleans his hair so good

My son is 2 and has a head full of thick hair…baby shampoo wasn’t cutting it…switched up when I noticed he needed to start using some conditioner

When my oldest was little I was that mama the HAD to use baby shampoo. Little did I know it was causing her hair not to grow. I started using regular shampoo when she was 3, she had very little to no hair at this point. Within a year of swapping her had grown to her shoulders.

My son is almost 4 and he still uses baby shampoo as it doesn’t hurt his eyes

Baby shampoo is nasty I’ve used it to wash colour out of my hair . I’d be using a normal shampoo .

My son had very fine hair until he was about 3. I switched him then.

Baby shampoo is only until they learnto be rinsed. My son is 15mis, we use reg dove shampoo with a doll up of conditioner, basically our own 2-in-1

I started using big kids shampoo around a year old because it was making his hair really oily and gross

I use the suave 3-n-1 on my toddler who’s 1? My 17&13 year old still use it bc it smells good :joy:

My 8 year old still uses “baby” shampoo

I’m a salon owner !and to be honest baby shampoo is the absolute worst thing to use ever! It’s pH is so high so it doesn’t sting the babies eyes but is awful for their hair! Switch to regular shampoo and conditioner as soon as you are able to rinse fully without it going in their eyes . I never used it on my kids unless I was trying to give them a good clarifying treatment!

I always started by 2 the baby shampoo seems to dry the hair out.

I started using conditioner at 18m I think? My daughter’s hair was so so so dry from the baby shampoo. After we finished that bottle I just use my stuff on her hair.

I use a kids shampoo and then just a dot of whatever conditioner I have on my three year old boy because his hair gets dry and he’s a dirty little boy and helps to get him smelling extra clean lol

I use natural shampoo bars from birth :slight_smile: from My little eco shop they are fab and vegan

Now. Just use a small amount in case of an allergic reaction. My 2 and 3 yr old use normal soap sometimes.

I still use baby shampoo on my soon to be 7 yr old, she is the oldest of my 4 children.
