When did you introduce peanut butter to your kids?

When did you introduce PB to your babies? I’ve seen videos of babies eating PB toast strips but I don’t know when that’s considered safe

My babies doctor told me to give him it at six months old. A small layer of it on a teething wafer. She said it’s better to introduce common food allergies early instead of later.

I gave my daughter it at 9 months old as I was terrified to do it lol but she was absolutely fine, she now loves peanut butter

Probably around 4-5 months. She started eating solids at 3 months PER HER DR so don’t come for me.

I just have all of mine a spoon of it on a spoon and let them have at it, at 6 months old. Of course I watched them to make sure all was well, now that’s their favorite snack

6 mons. My son wasn’t a fan until about 2 tho. My daughter loved it but now, at 14, isn’t big on it.

After 6 months I’d give it.

My baby was almost 6 months when my 4 year old decided it would be a great idea to give her baby sister her spoon of peanut butter. Thankfully no one in my family is allergic anyway and we were fine but I wasn’t ready yet hahaha.

The old belief was to not introduce peanut butter or eggs until after one year however new studies have been done that favors giving those common allergen foods as early as possible starting at as early as 6 months to try to help prevent those food allergies.

There is ready set food that can help introduce allergens. I don’t think I personally did at 6 months but sometime less than a year with peanut butter. Normally people introduce solids at around 6 months so depending on what you put it on or how you do it I’d say between 6 months and a year to try to avoid an allergy.
