When did you start potty training?

When did y’all’s little ones start potty training? I’m trying to not force it on my 2 1/2 yr old. But I don’t want her to wait too long either

All kids are different. I had one at 2, 2 1/2 and almost 3. I waited until each was ready before I did anything but we did do lots of encouragement. My youngest loved the book “Let’s Get This Potty Started”

My son was just after his 4th birthday when he became 100% potty trained. He was delayed in words so he couldn’t tell us when he had to go.

With him we let him run around naked, had a floor size potty near by (made flushing noises). But never forced him. His doctor said when kids are ready they will tell you.

But Communication is the biggest thing for them

Start with books and read together. Let her pick out some underwear.
We lived in the country when my sister was little, my mom put her potty behind the garage and let her run around in just a dress. She was potty trained quick she didn’t like the pee running down her leg lol

I started when my daughter was around 1 and walking properly, I bought her a potty chair and we would play “potty games” like pretending to go for a wee on it etc and I would also take her to the toilet with me as she got older and get her to practice sitting on it and we’d just chat lol she’s been fully toilet trained since 2.

My son was potty trained to pee before he turned 3, but to poop took like an extra year… lol. They’ll get there eventually. Just keep at it

I introduced the potty around a year and a half. They followed me to the bathroom all the time. I didn’t force it I encouraged it. ie do you got to go potty I got to go potty. I had twins boy n girl they were almost fully trained by 2 1/2 well my son was my daughter had loose stool had an accident and refused to wear underwear. Until about 2 months before they turned 3 end of January and it was christmas time. I told her if she stopped wearing diapers and only underwear Santa would bring her a barbie she said 2 barbies. And I said ok I will tell Santa. And she was out of diapers by Christmas and Santa brought her 6 barbies.
My youngest he was like his brother and trained by 2 1/2. No diapers for bed no pullups

3 is when my daughter was fully trained. That’s when most toddlers are ready .

My daughter is 3 1/2 and she’s not fully done, she will use the toilet but still wears nappy’s for nursery and when we’re out the house and bedtime

My daughter was fully potty trained by 2

My was completely trained at 18 months. Night too.

Get poos on the toilet as the priority- no watching them sh*t themselves. The rest takes care of itself with plenty of storybooks and praise
