My son started sitting up around 4 months.
But every kid is different! I know some babies who literally didn’t even crawl, they went from just sitting straight to walking. Some kids crawl nonstop.
It’s so freaking hard being a mom when everyone is comparing kids.
Your baby is fine and perfect! 
as long as his doctor says there’s nothing physically wrong with his hips or legs or anything, then he’s right on track for HIM. No two people are alike. Tell your SIL to stfu haha.
