When do you clean your house?

Hello everyone. I am trying to do a better job at keeping my house clean. It seems like I am always cleaning. I am not talking about my 3 year old toys. I mean sweeping and moping. Do yall clean in the morning before the chaos or at night when your kids are sleep or going to sleep?

Make a schedule deep clean one room a day and spot clean the rest of the house

I have shark cleaning robot that cleans my house daily. I make sure everything pick up from floor when I leave for work or going shopping, and I start my cleaner, when I get home it’s clean. I usually deep vacuum and wash floors on Saturdays. Put dirty clothes into washing machine or move to drying before bed. Try to put clean clothes back once or twice before bed. Teaching kids to put their stuff back where it belongs, we have designed spot for everything. Usually iron clothes that need ironing on Saturdays. Wash my bathrooms on Sundays

I do both. I mop n sweep earlier in the day. But I cut down on sweeping with the hardwood vacuum.

Later I’ll vacuum one more time before bed.

I have 4 dogs on top of the kids n the dogs track in mud constantly

I literally struggled until I made a chore schedule. Now my house is hardly ever messy. Make a list of all the chores you do in your house, daily chores and weekly chores. Divide them up into a rotating schedule that makes sense for you. I do a bit in the morning and then a bit at night both. Doing this helped me stay on top of everything so now when I approach a chore it’s a small thing that takes just a couple minutes. Where as before I found myself focusing on this or that and then something else would pile up and become overbearing. By the time I switch to that, and focus on that, then the next thing is piling up. The consistency of a schedule really got that under wraps.

We have 3 kids and two dogs. So our floors are always dirty. We sweep + mop every morning. We vacuum the bedrooms every other day. We pick up before bed and start the dishwasher. My oldest wipes down the bathrooms every morning before school. Clothes get washed as needed and my younger two fold and put it away. About every two weeks or so depending on our schedules I’ll deep clean kitchen/bathrooms/wash bed sheets, etc. once the kids started helping it got so much easier.

I deep clean every Saturday morning! Pick up through the week if needed. Kitchen is cleaned every night depending if I cook or not.

I use the app called sweepy. The free version is good but I pay for the premium. (It’s like $15 for a year) it let’s me make customized lists/rooms and chores I’ve done in each room and how often to do it. It also creates a “to do” list everyday for me as well. So after your done setting it up its just a matter of looking what needs done for the day and knocking them out.

I have ADHD. Gave up & hired a cleaning service. My kids are meticulous in reaction to my messiness.

I like doing it at night so it doesn’t immediately get messed up again and you can wake up and start the day with a clean home!!

Before my oldest boys did " bigger " chores ( they’re 14&16 now so dishes, vacuuming and garbage are their chores) I do the dishes right after each meal, which includes counters, stove and sink. Bathroom is cleaned top to bottom every other day during the day. Sweeping is everyday after kids are in bed. Mopping is every other day after kids are in bed. Laundry is during the day. Table tops are after each meal. Handrails and walls are once a month unless someone is sick. Vacuuming is first thing after breakfast.

I clean garbage when there’s garbage toys dishes etc once kids are asleep.
