They say usually 6 weeks before & on a Tuesday morning. But also in general, the earlier out you book, you usually find cheaper rates.
Do they already have flight schedules out for Christmas? Doesnt it come out later in the year?
My husband purchased tickets for my kids and I to visit my brother for Christmas while my husband would be deployed. I think he either purchased them in August or September and during a Tuesday or Wednesday.

As early as possible if u look up I think they say certain days at certain times as well the closer u get to Christmas the more expensive it becomes

I’d probably book in September, but things have changed a lot since I traveled regularly at holidays.
