Why is it important to breastfeed?

I’d like this anonymous please.

I need information on breastfeeding to share with my husband. Information about why it’s important to feed every 2-3 hours and so on. Also information about why if I give the baby a bottle I would still have to pump milk out, so feeding from the source is just easier. I don’t mind giving bottles and I have given our new baby bottles already. But damn. I’m tired of him man splaining to me how breastfeeding works or saying things like the baby is taking too eat. The baby is literally only 16 days old! Of course it’s gonna take him more than 5 minutes to eat. This is our 3rd kid so we’re not new to this. But he’s being an ass about it. I figured he would be happy breastfeeding is working this time and he can save money on formula but I guess not. Between not wanting me to feed in front of other people uncovered to feeding so often I feel like he would just be happier if I fed the baby formula. But I like breastfeeding. Not to mention it’s FREE and so much better for me and the baby.

Google the La Leche League, there is a ton of info there. Also, the Milky Mama site on Facebook has info about breastfeeding, and tips, tricks, advice (and food/drinks they sell) to help increase your supply, should you need that info. Good luck, mama- stick with it if you are able!:purple_heart:
