Am I going to have a miscarriage?

I had similar symptoms with my now 17 year old daughter. There was spotting and cramps. The doctors believed I was going to miscarry. I was just really dehydrated. Once I upped my fluids and was drinking pedialite, I started feeling better. Dehydration causes contractions so drink up. Even if that’s not the case for you, it’s still good for you and the baby. Best of luck.

I had to stay in bed my whole pregnancy, i can only get up when i need to use the washroom. That was my doctor advice, and i had to go for the scan every week

This is hard… I bled for about 2 weeks and miscarried… but with my son I literally bled for almost 3 weeks and they couldn’t tell me where the blood was coming from & he was healthy :woman_shrugging:t2: it really just depends, get your levels checked and that will tel you

Praying that you carry full term  I had complications from my second pregnancy with my daughter. I was spotting so I went and got checked. I think it had something to do with the placenta (I can’t remember - so many traumatic events since then) I was and felt fine for a few weeks until I woke up one night and passed a blood clot the size of my palm. They considered it to be most likely a miscarriage just waiting to happen. I had to be on bed rest and to take it easy for a while. I was only 2-3 months pregnant but luckily everything went on to be great. I had no other problems and was able to carry my babygirl to full term. Sending you my thoughts and prayers Mama. Take it easy if you can and try not to stress too much. God works wonders :raised_hands:

I had a similar situation and ended up that i had an incompetent cervix (my cervix would not stay closed to hold the pregnancy). Ended up having to go in before 13 weeks and have a cervical cerclage done. For most that doesnt happen until around 20 weeks but some it happens a lot sooner. I couldnt carry past around 14-15 weeks. I now have 2 healthy babies after we finally figured out what the problem was.

If the Dr says it could be a miscarriages then be sadly be prepared.
Wishing you all the best xx

Be positives babe you gonna get through this, it will be fine …Keep praying it will be fine …your lovely baby will be fine…

Drink lots of water and be happy Mummy

I have been there, but they saved my baby by inserting McDonald cerclage,I carried my baby full term, please ask your doctor for this

I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and had brown discharge in the beginning and it escalated from there, I had really heavy blood clots and lots of cramps and by the end of the week, I was told that I lost my baby.

I had 3 pregnancies and the two WITH bleeding we successful term babies. The one I didn’t bleed I sadly had a missed miscarriage.

Drink loads of water rest and nurture that Bub as right now it’s with you and yours!

Fingers crossed for you! :slightly_smiling_face:

What an insensitive a hole to say that to you. Definitely get a 2nd opinion, it could just be the old blood build up. I was always told when the blood is new ( bright red) is when you should worry.

I started bleeding at 8 weeks and turned out to be a kidney infection. My wonderful little boy just turned 7. Rest as much as possible and try not to worry. Hope you and baby will be OK xx

ER doctors tend to not have the best of bedside manners. Make an appointment with your own doctor and try not to worry unless you see bright red blood. I bled (only pink) for two months with my last one , he’s 15 now & was born on his due date.

Don’t stress yourself momma, that isn’t good for you or the baby. Try to stay focused on good mental and physical health❤

Ive had 8 children brown blood spotting is normal its just left over blood from past periodd being pushed out as baby grows

Yes, I had a miscarriage this way but stay positive. I thought doctors can close you up until it is time to give birth

I had to have a cervical cercloge(sp??)
It is like a drawstring stitch to keep cervix closed as the baby gets bigger. At about 32 weeks the Dr took it out to let things progress on its own. Prayers! :pray:t2:

Get a second opinion! You may need to be in bed rest and get scans more often

My cervix was open on the left side when I was 17 weeks pregnant wasn’t a good outcome.big hugs to you

Sending prayers for you and your baby. Try to relax I know that’s not easy but lay dow for a bit with your legs up go see OBGYN and You two will be fine. Believe honey. Love and Prayers to you

My cervix was open from inside out its called funneling for 3 out of 4 of my pregnancies. Never had a miscarriage. Also spotting can be normal as well. I would just relax and try not to stress and get in with your OB so they can watch your cervix. Thats what mine did was just watch me closer the whole time.

If you go into premature labor make sure you only go to a hospital that has a premee unit. We lost ours while he was being transported to another hospital.

I had a bleed when I was around 9 weeks with my second, I had to wait a whole week for a scan where a heartbeat was found and he’s now 2. Sending so much love your way and try and stay positive x

I know it’s hard to accept but just remember we often miscarry for a good reason… the foetus may not be viable! Stay strong… your body knows what is best!:crossed_fingers:

I bleed with both pregnancies, ER doctors are clueless go see your obgyn!

Could be a “last period” I had the same turned out it was the last period was brown discharge for 2 - 3. Baby is 6 months now  if it’s fresh red blood go to hospital

She obgyn - spotting is normal in early on…

No I’m like that now also and my doctor told me not to worry unless I’m in alot of pain or bleed thru a pad n a hr .
I’m 4 monthes and been bleeding off and on since 6 weeks.
They are gonna keep a eye on it . Don’t stress .

Stress doesn’t help anything. Try to remain calm, think positive, maybe rest & stay off yr feet.

I have had 2 myself and the same happened to me.:pray::pray: everything works out for you.

L

So sorry but total bed rest most likely your only chance as I also hemorrhoids until all the way up to my end of my 6 month & had to totally stay in bed with ice packed on my lower stomach, nut delivered my daughter with the help of my Doctor

Stop stressing!!! Worst thing you can do. Think positive and happy thoughts!!

I can only assume everyone is different. You need to go see your doc… Asking on a forum like this is only going to make you anxiety worse. Which also is not good for the baby.

Possible miscarriage.Complete bedrest until next Dr.appt. I was lucky. I got to carry my second child.

I have had brown spotting and weird stringy brown discharge. This is my 4th pregnancy and everything is going fine! Get a second opinion!! Best of luck to you!

I had light. Bleeding with all 4 off my kids . Rest not stress

Did the doctor say anything about bed rest…

they didnt do a vaginal ultrasound?

Is the discharge tissue like?

Stop stressing and start praying. Get plenty of rest and lay around for another month and be ready checked.

omg why did your doctor tell you that sack him! Have u got a midwife yet who can do a scan or listen to baby’s heart beat? Hang in there mama♥️

That would be a question for your ob

Just be aware that there are women who have miscarried after taking the vaccine.

This is one of those situations that u just HAVE to give it to God! U have done everything right I know yours isn’t the only doc who has given a less than comforting prognosis but doctors are so often wrong! I spotted during my first trimester and he is 29 now. U keep on like you’re going I have a feeling your baby is going to be fine. I’m praying

Happened to me at 15 weeks I just layed in bed and literally did nothing because I was scared to lose my baby I would spot pinkish brown every so often and more so when I used the bathroom. Once I started taking it easy everything ended up being ok. I’m definitely not a medical professional though I really hope everything works out for you it’s definitely not a good feeling  prayers for you

This happened too me at 5 months pregnant I was out on very strict bed rest
Now I have a healthy 4 year old❤️ every pregnancy is different praying for you & baby🙏

With my first son I had a super easy pregnancy but had random unexplained spotting throughout the pregnancy and he was carried to term and born healthy and is now 2. This pregnancy has been rough from the start but at almost exactly 9 weeks I had about 8 days straight where I was spotting light brown/light pink every time I would wipe. It almost looked kinda like coffee grounds. I didn’t go to the Dr for it even though I should have but I just kept taking at home pregnancy tests to ease my mind. I would take one every other day and compare the lines to make sure they weren’t getting any lighter (indicating that my HCG levels were going down). It helped my peace of mind a whole lot. But I’m now almost 21 weeks and baby is SUPER healthy

Not necessarily a miscarriage or pending one at that! Brown discharge is old blood leaving the cervix. I had brown discharge followed by blood continuously and miscarried and also had fresh blood when wiped just once with my first pregnancy and all was fine xx
Please don’t stress, stay calm or adds more stimulation on stress for you and baby xx

I had this and then I ended up having a placenta bleed, but my bleeding got worse and worse. I was told my body was deciding to either miscarry or not… I was 10 weeks 4 days when it was confirmed for placenta bleed. I’d ask if there’s a possibility of a placenta bleed because I was emotionally drained from seeing a heartbeat Everytime to being told miscarriage but then it not happening… was emotionally confusing. But worth asking hun. Good luck

You need to be referred to a Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor. I would suggest taking it very easy and even bed rest.

I experienced this around 11 weeks with my first born. Except my cervix was completely open and the bleeding was heavy w/ clots with painful cramping lasting for days … I was told I miscarried on a Friday … that Monday i heard his heart beat for the first time. Prepare yourself but don’t give up hope. Every pregnancy is different. Sending my love

Recently took my niece to the ER at 10 weeks. She had a significant amount of bleeding. They could not find fetal heart beat. They told her she had miscarried. She was devastated but I told her not to get discouraged. I had a similar experience with my now 16 year old son. I didn’t believe she had lost the baby. Two days later, she saw her regular doctor and he found the baby to be fine. Her daughter is about to be one. Take it from someone who has lost 9 pregnancies, stay calm. Worrying may increase the chance of complications. My thoughts and prayers are with you mama. Be strong.

You will know from blood test my hcg levels went way down then way up they thought it was tracking well then went way down again ended in misscarrige.

I had some spotting early in my pregnancy with my second as well. At 20 weeks they thought my cervix was opening as well, about 3mm. The doctor prescribed me progesterone to put in like you would monistat (suppository) until I was about 36 weeks. It is supposed to help. It wouldn’t hurt to inquire about that. My son will be 4 months old tomorrow

My placenta was a little bit detached for my second, so I was bleeding for 4ish months, just a little bit, but I was in the hospital alot because I was scared, never happened with my son. So maybe it’s just that, your ob can check your placenta with ultrasound.
Baby 2 is now 2 months old. Good luck :crossed_fingers:t2::purple_heart:

I was 4 months along & bleed.Tried to stay off my feet as much as possible. I worked up till 7 months along. Had a perfect rainbow baby b oy . try and get as much rest as you can… blessings :revolving_hearts:

Stressing is the worse thing for you right now, Pray about it stay off your feet and Give it to God. I will definitely be praying for you.

I will say that I’ve always heard brown blood is “old blood” also at 8.5 weeks I bled so much there was even clots but my baby was totally fine and I’m 24 weeks now

They put a circlage in because I had funneling at 16weeks. Basically they just sewed my cervix shut. They took the stitches out at 35 weeks and induced me at 39 weeks because my boy was huge. I was in a modified bed rest and if I moved too fast or too much I had contractions starting after the circlage. I know there is a cream they care try as well to keep the cervix closed and firm.

Brownish colored blood is old blood and what happens sometimes is blood will get trapped in the vagina and as the uterus grows will push it out. It doesn’t mean you will miscarry but id take it easy for the next few days. Also have your doctor check your progesterone level,it should be greater then 15 ,that too sometimes will cause cramping .good luck to you

Same thing happened to me at around 9 weeks and went to ER and they told me there was a 98 percent chance I would miscarriage and made an ob appt and dr said my baby was perfectly fine and healthy so that 2 percent my baby made it. I’m almost 26 weeks now and doing good. So don’t lose hope mama

It happened to me between weeks 10-13. My OB/Gyn recommended bed rest, was put on some progesterone pills for one month n everything thereafter was Okey. Baby is 2 years now.

Did they find a heartbeat ? Because they can sew your cervix shut to keep baby inside

You need to call labor and delivery in your local ER and get evaluated ASAP.

That is what happened to me when I had a miscarriage

Relax pick up ur feet you will be ok in gods name🕊

Go to the hospital were you would deliver emediatly for asistans

I had this with my 2nd pregnancy. Hes now 4. It was also right around 9 weeks when I had it. Its old blood I guesse that’s what a nurse had told me.

Look up incompetent cervix, and call your OB and let them know what the US showed. They can do a procedure to close your cervix, but only until so many weeks along, I think 12 or 15. Mine was found at 20 weeks and I was admitted and put on strict bed rest the rest of my pregnancy and still delivered at 33 weeks.

Could be an incompetent cervix so talk to your OB doctor about possibly suturing if it starts to open good luck

Ask about testing for progesterone levels and possibly getting some supplemental progesterone.

I had two early miscarriages last year and each time the blood was bright red/pink. I was always told brown blood is less concerning as it can be old blood your body is working out. No one can be 100% sure, not even the doctors. I’m afraid it is a wait and see kind of thing. I hope everything is alright.

It doesn’t always mean that if it’s dark it’s old blood … I bled with my middle child they said the same thing even offered to do a DNC and a week later there was a heart beat and he’s 12 yrs old :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I’d get a second opinion for sure, take things easy, stay off of your feet, and try not to stress too much. Call and talk to your Midwife/OB, If you don’t have one, you find one today.

I bled alot with my twins. I was told I was miscariging but I knew I wasn’t. Turned out it was a bleed. Scared me though. Cos I didn’t have that with my first pregnancy.

I had brown discharge with my first pregnancy and he whole first trimester. I went on to have a beautiful baby boy. I did also just have a miscarriage with my second pregnancy . It was definitely red blood though when I had started the miscarriage. I would say make sure you rest and see you regular obgyn. Get a second opinion and have an ultrasound to see what is going on. It’s the scariest and out of control feeling so lean on your support system! Stay strong!!! :two_hearts:

I was bleeding and had funneling of the cervix, dilation from the inside. My miracle baby is over 2 years old now. I asked to be referred to a maternal fetal specialist. She put me on bedrest and I had scans often. I was also put on progesterone which actually solved the funneling for awhile. I’m hoping for you and baby.

Light brown can mean old blood is clearing itself, not necessarily a miscarriage, this happened me at approx 12 weeks and all was fine, just go get checked out and they can put your mind at rest

Just leave it in God’s hands - Wishing you the best

Sending prayers and hugs your way. When I miscarried the blood was bright red and there was a lot of it. I hope you don’t go through that and that everything will be okay with your pregnancy. Take care.

I had the same thing…and it turned out I was pregnant with twins…and 1 was gone…it is actually called the vanishing twin…maybe that could be what is happening to you…just take it easy and I hope it will all be ok😁
