Baby name ideas?

Name YOUR child what YOU want. You’re the one carrying, giving birth to her, changing all the diapers etc. If you have a name you love use it. It’s OK to break a tradition you had no say in in the first place.

“THEY” want…
What do YOU want?
I come from a Mexican family and they all had their opinions and suggestions regarding baby names. Ultimately it is up to you (and the father) to decide. I went with what I wanted and yeah I got back lash from his and my side of the family, but they are MY children.
If you want to continue the tradition, fine. As long as that’s what YOU want.

My question is would YOU want to continue with their tradition? Would you like to name your child something else, unrelated to the tradition? Also, is it just that the girls all start with M or do they all have similar names… I like the name Mackenzie.

& if you dont findca name dont feel pressured. Choose what you want for your baby!

Why blend in when you were born to stand out? Do whatever you feel comfortable with.

My kids get family names for middle names with the exception of my youngest. Cuz being the 5th boy we were out of ideas :joy: but all of them have a loved ones name for middle and I honestly prefer it that way. Kids should have their own unique name.

Mariana, Millary or Marisol

Maybe you and your husband should start a new tradition and naming your kids with similar names like we did. My daughters names is Danica and son Dante. My family calls them “D kids”!

Do what you want to do,.it’s your baby maybe even Honor the women on your side. Make sure the baby has yours and his last name

I’m Hispanic and my fiance is black. His family wanted me to do the same thing with a family name they used. We ended up finding something we felt was perfect and didn’t include the name… they got over it they love her name more then they did the family names they had

Mariana is so pretty

My sister’s name is Mahalia. I’ve always loved her name.
