Best diaper rash cream?

Do not use powder. Use Desitin ointment; it’s miraculous. I’m a mother of two girls!!

Desitin xtra strength, thick layer, only wipe when there is poop, change diaper frequently (any time it is any amount wet) warm water bum soak 15 mins 2-3x a day. Don’t use wipes use warm water and cloth (cvs has cotton pads in the baby isle right near the baby cotton ear swabs they are about 4 inches long by 3 inches wide great for use as wipes with warm water) call pediatrician and make appointment it could be a yeast rash, my son had one when he was less then a year old they prescribed nystatin cream to use 2x a day and told me to do all the other stuff I recommended.

Sounds loke she might be getting a yeast infection

Mother of 3 girls. Out of diapers now finally. I used Aquaphor with cornstarch within hours worked great. If really irritated then I would a clothes and panties and just be commando as much to let it breath.

Baby cornstarch powder works wonders. Check with your pharmacist about a medicated powder…that would also help.

I use water wipes, Vaseline and a steroid cream (prescribed by doctor) for my daughter as she is prone to diaper rash.

Make sure she does not have a fungal infection. I’d see the pediatrician soon!

If diaper rash cream isn’t helping, it could be a yeast infection. Take her to the doctor to be checked.

Coconut oil! It was the only thing that worked after trying every product made for diaper rash. If that doesn’t work, definitely make a trip to the peds office.

I switch from desitin to A&D and I’ve never looked back my daughter also likes it cold it helps sometimes

Get Silvadine cream from the dr. It’s used for burns but works wonders.

Yeast infection. Diaper rash medicine hurts when applied to yeast infection. Over the counter creme will work.

Clear Desitin works wonders

Corn starch and never will try nothing else wants you use it trust me

Try a antifungal powder and just rub it carefully in the area .don’t use to much. In a pink can

Don’t wipe it. Fragrance free soap and air dry as much as possible. Have her play on a towel. It might be yeast but either way…I recommend this

Try cloth diapers if it continues. It could be an allergic reaction to disposable diapers.

Try seventh generation wipes!!

I ended up having to get resinol at the pharmacy… it’s not rx… just a special item…

My girls would blister and bled. . Even with cloth diapers and such…

Use a wet face cloth for diaper changes, avoid all scented anything. Make sure her area is dry before closing her clean diaper. Sudocream is amazing for diaper rashes in my experience. If that doesn’t work, I would take her to the doctor and get a prescription cream. When they get a little bigger it’s ok to use monistat yeast infection cream but she’s only two weeks old

Try flour that what i use on my kids when they were little not lot

I have always used desitin and petroleum jelly. She is 18 months, occasionally gets a rash, but works wonders for me. Good luck momma

Yeast infection. Oatmeal bath!!! Works wonders.

A&D ointment…keeps the moisture away from the skin while the rash heals! I’m talking about 53 years ago!

Anonymous advice:

she may have a yeast infection. regular diaper rash cream won’t work. need to get help from pediatrician for different treatment. guessing you need an antifungal medication

All the advice is good but take your baby girl to the doctor young lady

Burnt flour works wonders! Also, coconut oil.

She might need a cream from a doctor. My son had to get a Medicaid perscriptsion.

Triple Paste!!! Best ointment ever!! As a foster parent I have used this for many kiddos. Our doctor also suggested putting a little baby powder over the top of it to keep the moisture off the cream. I will never use anything else.

Boudreaux’s Buttpaste maximum strength worked super well for our daughter

Mite be alrgek to diaper

Use cornstarch. It dries it up.

Try different nappies, some brands cause rashes on babies and not on others

Use lotramin it’s an antifungal cream then put a TON of destin on top. That’s what the doctor said to do and it cleared in 2 days. NO POWDERS. BACTERIA GROWS ON POWDER AND ITS ALREADY AN INFECTION AT THIS POINT

1/4 of a cup of brown vinegar in the bath water will kill any fungal infections

Bag balm. Best thing in the world. Also oatmeal baths. I do a weekly oatmeal bath. It’s just good for skin.

Ur baby only 2 weeks old. Is it actually a rash aling with the bumps blisters? Or just bumps and blisters? Could be hormonal thing as she is still so young

BUTTPASTE extra STRENGHT we use it daily for every change because we change her diapers often

Baby A&D or hello bello diaper rash cream! My babygirl is 5 months and has NEVER had diaper rash because since the day she was born we put the A&D on. It works like a charm.

Try different diapers. Huggies used to give my granddaughter what looked like chemical burns. Had to switch to generic or store brand diapers.

Could be the brand of diapers, my youngest can’t use huggies.

Maybe she’s allergic to the brand of nappies your using?

Son used sudo cream.
Daughter needed a dryer cream. She used panaten mixes with sometimes a prescription cream from the doctor

Might be thrush. You need an anti fungal for that.

Don’t laugh. Go to the coop or farm store and get some bag balm. We used this on my daughter when all the other creams failed. My husbands grandmother is the one that told use about it. Cleared her right up

Coconut oil with lavender oil and watch her diet for possible food allergies

When my son was born I used the cream and it turned out he was allergic to it! So I started using baby powder with starch and if that doesn’t work ask your dr if you can put a little monistat cream on it! It can be yeasty. Let her lay on a dry clean blanket during tummy time diaper free to let it breathe a little. I hope this helps!

Also use free and clear diapers (biodegradable) ones are usually very gentle and natural

Sounds like yeast infection

Corn starch recommended by my pediatrician always worked well for my girl.

if it is not going away with otc creams you need to take her to the dr bc it sounds like she has a bad yeast infection.

If it’s getting worse from diaper creams you need to call her pediatrician to get medicated cream.

Make sure you’re using powder with cornstarch and let her air out there will be accidents but it happens let her lay down for a bit without a diaper she’s to little to roll over so you can put a towel under her. Try different diaper creams like buttpaste, desitin, a&d etc. if it doesn’t clear up check with her ped make sure it’s not a yeast infection!

Do u use wet wipes every time then the destin. You may have to go to cloth diapers. I did. Or could be the cream. Leave diaper undone while asleep.

Baby powder is a no no. Causes uterine cancer. Loads of people sueing.

Use pink sav its the best!!!

Put a towel on her mattress and let her sleep with no diaper for a night , then use coconut oil on it

If you have nystatin my guess is you already took to the dr. If it’s not improving- call your Dr she might need a steroid cream. Allow lots of air with a diaper under her during tummy time

No vicks does not burn

A&d ointment nd cornstarch

Earth mama diaper balm is awesome, but I find my baby breaks out with certain diapers too…

If she’s only 2 weeks she shouldn’t be getting rashes like that yet. Call pedi! But it could also be the diapers you’re using.

Penaten was my life saver for my 1st 2 girls hut my 3rd is sensitive to all disposable diapers. We changed to cloth at 3mos

Burts Bees diaper stuff. Natural.

I put A&D ointment on my daughter every single time I changed her. Never had a diaper rash.

Leave diapers off as much as possible. You may need an anti fungus cream from hr

Could possibly be an allergic reaction to her diapers, my first used to get it bad with Luvs. Try changing diaper brands, letting her go without a diaper for a few minutes between changes, and keep on with the ointment and/or baby powder.

My daughter ended up getting a yeast infection which sounds like what your little one could have and the doctor said it could be from not drying her after using the wipes and there’s a bunch of reasons it can happen, but I use the purple desitin which is maximum strength and that usually works

This stuff is magical!

San Francisco hospital sent me home with this and I have bought it ever since it’s wonderful

Put a blanket down, maybe a flannel waterproof pad underneath and let her “hangout” butt-naked as much as possible.

My son had horrible rashes (we used baby powder- to get the area dry enough to get the butt paste to stick) and it turned out he had a milk protein allergy.

Corn starch! An old remedy that works like a charm!

We used just baby powder. worked better than anything else

Try a different brand of diapers.

Resinol it’s a thick pink paste in a little white tub it’s kinda spendy but a little goes a long way. You can get it behind the pharmacy counter at Walmart

BAG BALM! You buy it at tractor supply or any store similar, it’s originally for udders on a cow, but it has worked miracles on my family’s skin, from myself, sons eczema, and husbands belt rash, literally makes it go away. And keep diaper rashes at bay

Corn starch is like magic I agree 100%

Happened with my granddaughter we couldn’t use powder on her

Take the baby to the Dr. They can recommend the best treatment

Are you breast feeding? My daughter got horrible diaper rash because I was eating pineapple. No treatment made it go away and I finally connected the pineapple and stopped eating it. When I stopped eating pineapple her bottom cleared up.

My favorite diaper cream is Boudreaux’s Butt Paste.

Could be the diapers you are using, just a thought! Good luck!

I used a zinc ointment on my son. But he came home from the hospital with a rash.

Bag balm, its for cows, but works miracles on even the worst rash… used it for my 4.

I lightly powder with cvs baby medicated powder and apply a small coatinf of aquaphor…makes kind of like a salve…works wonders for my NAS FS4mo…and has since he came home from the hospital

When my child was first born she would wet her diaper and she got little blisters appeared all of a sudden. I had to take her to the doctor. She had something in her body causing it and they had to give her medicine. If it continues take her in and get her checked. They say its rare something to do with the delivery but nothing you did wrong just happens. Not to scare you it’s nothing your doing wrong. Try cornstarch and over counter products but if it doesn’t get better check with your doctor

It may be a yeast infection, you’ll need an anti fungal cream or a script. My oldest got it bad when he was little I tried everything and finally sent my mom a picture because the drs office was closed. She told me to use an anti fungal cream and it looked 100x better in the morning.

Sounds like it could be a yeast infection. I would check in with her pediatrician

My daughter looked like a bad diaper rash and it was a yeast infection. To many oranges and the citrus was to much for her.

Should not use any kind of powder especially on girls.

Aquaphor!!
It works amazing for diaper rash, eczema, cuts, scrapes. I use it for everything. I’d put quite a bit on him especially at night and by morning it would either be completely gone or almost gone. Depended on how bad it was. I swear by it!
Caldesene powder works great too!

Colloidal oatmeal, make a paste much better in the morning!

My son couldn’t wear paper diapers, had to use cloth ones because he would break out like your daughter.

Lotramin. It’s magic.

Z-Bum. My daughter gets the same, sound kind of like a yeast infection but Z-Bum is the best thing ive found yet! Works amazing on my daughter for any rash

Chemists can mix a good cream for you

Cornstarch or Desitin

We always used cornstarch it helps alot

If you really are changing her bum every time she pees (immediately following) then look at other factors. Are you wiping with a wipe when you change a wet diaper? Are you wiping front to back? Are you letting her air dry before getting the diaper all done up? Could the brand of diaper be the issue (my children could only handle huggies)? Is it the brand of wipes? If she’s getting baths, has she been put into her diaper while still wet?
Also, the best treatment ever for diaper rash is soaking in baking soda in warm water. I’m not sure if there is an age on this though so maybe speak with your pediatrician… of course there recommendation on any medical questions such as this one is always a good idea so there’s that too.
