Best place to get ear piercing done?

Why would you make a decision like that for a child? Her body and therefore her choice when she is ready you idiot!

If some of you could learn how to read, that’d be nice.:woman_facepalming: Lol so many rude comments for no reason. :roll_eyes:She’s not asking IF she should do it. She’s asking what’s the safest route between the two options! The reason behind getting it done is none of your business.:woman_shrugging:
Tattoo shop is the safest and cleanest! Call around to see who will do them, some will only do certain ages.

I love how a simple question involving her own child can bring out negative comments. Honey do what you want it’s you baby. Both my girls got theirs done at 6 months old and absolutely love them. If you domt agree take your 2 cents else where because this momma is going to do what she wants. No shame in it!

Piercing shops are the best place to go!!! Do not pinch the crap out of your babies ears. Just because we all did it to ourselves doesnt mean it was right.

“Guns” aren’t sterile at all whatsoever. You have a person who wasn’t trained in proper piercing technique doing something to your baby that will be with her for the rest of her life.

If you can’t find a piercing specialist who won’t do it for your baby please wait until she’s old enough for someone who will do it.

If you live in SC I offer to do it for you. I’ve been a professional piercing artist since I was 19, started apprenticing at 18. I’ve worked in a shop since I was 16.

Pros to doing it as an infant: heals before they can take em out, they generally forget they have jewelry in there unless they’re the kind of kids who pull on their ears when sleepy.

Cons: they can’t tell you if it bothers them, it’s not their choice, if they are ear pullers it increases the risk of infection.

But please for the love of your child don’t take her to someone who hasn’t gone through proper training.

Infants are unable to consent to having the procedure. By piercing their ears, parents are taking away the child’s opportunity to have such a choice. Additionally, pediatricians from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) require parents to wait until their child is at least 6 months old to get their ears pierced.

The pediatricians office will usually do it, but if yours doesn’t use s piercing studio

Most tattoo shops wont do it, unless they are old enough to verbally tell them they want it done.

Wait until the child can ask to have it done! My daughters were 4 & 5 when I had theirs done, they wanted pretties like mama.

I’m reading a lot where people suggest tattoo shops over places like Walmart for little ones.

I got mine when I was just a few months old. I’d go to a tattoo place

I assume the bitches that are mad dont get laid often and always asks for the fucking manager…she didn’t ask for yalls thin lipped opinions

Professional Piercer for sure. The place I took my daughter too wouldn’t do it unless the child said so on their own free will. She was 4 asking so we took her.

Hun tell the assholes running their mouths about what you want to do with your baby to kiss your damn ass.

We did our daughters at like 7 months at a salon and they did use a piercing gun, nothing went wrong they are just fine. I do agree though the needles are better and more sterile. She hated us holding her arms in her lap more than the piercing itself :woman_shrugging:t2: She was over it and asleep by the time she got in the car

Please please please dont take any child to get their ears pierced using a freaking piercing gun. No no no no. Go watch some of rolys peircing gun reactions on youtube. Stay far far away from peircing guns

Your pediatrician will do it.

Well, since tattoo shops are moral fucking people they won’t pierce an infants ears and will tell you to wait until your kid can actually understand and consent to a body modification.

Fucking nutcase.

Doctors office will usually do it or give you the best place. But to pick between the two choices I’d got tattoo shop

Outer beauty sandwich, tattoo shop

Maybe just don’t :woman_shrugging:

Either way is risky but I’d go with a professional tattoo place.

My pediatrician did it for me

I’d start with asking the pediatrician (ours had a nurse whom used to do them but doesn’t anymore). I’d then look at tattoo parlors but honestly make sure you call before- the 9 I spoke with near me wouldn’t pierce under the age of 7 (not state law, just personal decision by me). You will always hear negative feedback no matter what route you choose so make sure you are prepared for that. My daughter cried for like 5 seconds but we gave her a bottle and then no further issues.

Ewww, piercing guns are gross. The people that use them have little training. Spend the extra money and go to a tattoo parlor.

So many opinions she didn’t ask you guys what you thought she asked where is a good place to go :woman_facepalming:t4: most of you probably don’t even believe in vaccinations but worried about the piercing gun being dirty or the child being too young :joy::joy:

If you think getting an infants ears pierced is mutilation then I really hope none of you circumcised your sons.

100% tattoo shop. Do not go anywhere that uses a gun. The likelihood of infection and rejection is much higher

The pediatrician is best to do it

My daughter got hers done at 5 months and had no issues. Her doctors office did them with disposable one use guns.

Tattoo shop. Guns cannot be sterilised properly, and shove a blunt earring through the ear, causing blunt force trauma. Much better and cleaner to get it done with a needle x

DO NOT pierce a 3 month old baby’s ears! The fuck is wrong with you people

I took my daughter to our local pharmacy and they did it with a gun perfectly fine no complaints do what you think is best mommy

All I’ve really been told is to have em done at the same time

Of you’re really going to pierce your infant. Take them to a highly recommended tattoo andpiercing parlor . Those guns are not clean

I’ll vomit. An ear gun? 🤦

I took my daughter when she was 4 months old to the pagoda and they completely fucked her piercings up. I had to take them out and get them redone. And they didnt even give me a refund or anything. I paid 75 just for the earings. I would of rather taken her to a tattoo shop.

Don’t go to Claire’s or anywhere that uses a gun…that causes trauma to the ear. I had many issues with my ear piercings…all (some regular, some cartilage) either got crazy infected or I have a bump and weird ear stuff going on.
Either go to a tattoo shop (not all will pierce a child, or won’t pierce depending on age…like a lot of times they won’t pierce until the child can consent. Or I’ve also heard doctors offices can do it too.

Wait until she is old enough to decide for herself

All these people saying to wait until the child can talk shut up are you also them people that ask permission to changes your kids ass as well.:woman_facepalming:t3:

You do you mummy it’s your daughter i had mine done at a few months old little babies look adorable with ears pierced.

My kids pediatrician does it for $10 both ears and they give me the cleaning kit for homecare also

I took my daughter at 4months to Claire’s. Never once been infected. There is nothing wrong with claire’s doing it. They’ve been doing that for years

Have not read comments, but I’ve read that tattoo parlors are preferred because of the health/safety measures they’re required to take with their equipment. The store in the mall is not subject to those same requirements.

Call tattoo parlours and ask when they have two piercers available, it’s easier to have them both done at the same time.

Well, it depends on where you live. Some states will not allow anyone under the age of 18 into a tattoo parlor to get any kind of piercings done. I took my girls to the Icing in the mall made sure that everything that they used was fresh out of the package brand new, that the holes were lined up and had them done there. Never one problem either.

I won’t no sorry as I’m waiting till my kid to ask if wants this to happen. Hasn’t yet.

I’d do pediatrician or tattoo shop. Let’s be honest how cool with tattoo shop pics be for later on!

The only thing I’ll say is I had mine done at 6 months and had to have them redone because the holes moved and it looked weird lol

Tattoo shop. Way less risk of infection - those guns are AWFUL!

Guns are unsanitary, glorified flesh hole punches.
Getting pierced early, bad idea. An infection in a small child, that close to the brain is scary af. Too young to understand not to touch, or rub, or aggravate the new piercing.
Also dont know if they have a nickel allergy yet, which can lead to big icky hole eaten into the skin, not to mention infection. Rejection I’d think would be a problem in children too.
Tattoo and piercing parlors are your safest choice. Piercests have a standard of sanitation they have to uphold to continue to practice. They use an autoclave, which is one of the highest forms of sanitation. It’s the same process used to sanitize surgical tools.

If you do get it done, for the love of god, DON’T USE THE ANTISEPTIC WASH, ALCOHOL, PEROXIDE ON ANY PIERCING. Salt water only! The aforementioned kill too much bacteria, good ones included that aide in healing. Salt water has natural healing and drawing properties. That’s all that’s needed.

Not bashing just want ya to be a well educated momma <3

I got both of my kids done at Claire’s. No issues, ever.

She’s not asking if y’all think she should wait until she’s older. She’s asking which is best! I don’t know anyone who got theirs pierced as a baby and regretted it :woman_facepalming:t3:

I’d suggest going to a reputable tattoo shop. They probably won’t do it until 6 months, but it’s better than going to like Claire’s.

I got mine done at Claire’s when I was old enough to get it on my own

Please don’t go to Claires or Icing. They do not train their employees, like at all. I used to work at Icing and the first person I pierced was a baby girl that age and omg :weary: I’m sure a tattoo shop would be more than happy to do it. Keep in mind she may be allergic to nickel so I would invest in some nice earrings.

Any repeatable tattoo shop wont pierce an infant or toddler none I’ve found anyhow and they all tell me the same thing they wont do it until the child is older and can consent themselves

Some pediatricians do it. Good luck😊

Had mine pierced at Claire’s when I was old enough to tell my mom I wanted them done.
She still made me wait until I was 12.

No gun! Tattoo shop for sure.

Most pedestrians do ear piercings with disposable kits

WTF! A baby of 12 weeks…words just fail me…

I love how people have to comment with the ‘that’s child abuse’ stuff. Parents have been piercing their kids’ ears for MANY years, she’s wasn’t asking for your criticism or approval so mind your business.
And as far as a gun or needle, yes needles are much cleaner, the guns are faster. But keep in mind both the piercing stations and tattoo shops do tons of piercings and either way has a risk of infection if you don’t care for the piercing properly. So do what you’re most comfortable with.

I’ve got all my kids ears done my youngest got hers done at 6 weeks,my second got hers done at 4 months, my third and fourth got theirs done at 18 months and my fifth got hers done at 1 year, they now all have their ears pierced twice,I went to numerous places to get theirs done.i wish I had gone to a tattoo place to get them all done, but at the time they didn’t pierce little kids ears. ( My kids are 11,10,9,8,5 years old now )

Got my daughters at 7 months and right at her pediatrician office check with them next try a well reviewed clean tattoo shop

Tattoo place is fine, most will do it. Most aren’t ignorant like these comments try to say.

You are the parents, not the idiots who think their opinions are facts.

Your child, your choice. Remember that.

A tattoo studio w a sterile needle and when they pierce it it takes that skin in the needle where a piercing gun explodes the tissue! So safest place is a tattoo studio

Tattoo places will do it call around

Tattoo shop.

Do not go somewhere that uses a gun, they are not sterile

The guns faster but it’s bad for you. I got my ears pierced 17 years ago and they still get infected and are sensitive. But everyone I know who didn’t use the gun doesn’t get infections. Tattoo places are best. They’re the cleanest.

Tattoo place. They are a lot cleaner

I have 2 daughter’s 18 and 2 months old i got my 18 year olds ears pierced at 2 weeks but i cant bring myself to do it with my 2 month old :woman_shrugging:

I’m all for the tattoo shop, got mine done when I was 5 and my earlobes kept growing and now they are too high to do what I want with them

Definitely a tattoo shop! Needles are safer and better for the job!

I got my daughters done at 3 years old with a gun, never had an issue with infection until she snagged it on a shirt

Id say tattoo shop that is all about being sterile and clean when my daughter turn 6 months in April I plan to take her to do it

I would say wait until your child says they want their ears pierced

Go to a tattoo parlor most will also do piercings and the needles are cleaner than if you go to like a Claire’s or icing to get them pierced

Go to a tattoo shop with experienced pieces that have their certificates, they pierce fast and all new needles and stuff they use they open new in front of you and Claire’s doesnt do that always and cant fully clean the gun especially since the gun touches hundreds maybe thousands of kids ears a day. You will get everything you need to keep it clean and when you need the earrings changed out the first time they will also help with that or if it ever gets infected from baby hands pulling or touching them

My lo is almost 3mo and I have always been against it when they’re still so little, always!
But my hubby is convincing me lol, My 6yo got hers done the other day with both guns at once and I suggest that, not a tattoo parlor

My mom had the doctor pierce my sister’s ears in the hospital.

Wait until she’s older. I know it seems so cute but there’s so much that could happen. They could very well get infected or ripped as she gets older and with her being so little they can even grow to be lopsided if you can avoid the other stuff. And when she is older and asks for her ears to be pierced, go to a tattoo shop that offers piercings. Piercing guns cannot be sterilized and they don’t even pierce, they just shoved a dull ring through the skin causing inflammation and a way higher risk of infection.

A tattoo shop, as long as you take papers saying she’s had her 3 month shots you’ll be fine! Please stay away from guns! :weary::weary:

Piercing shop. Never a piercing gun.

When I was 8 I wanted My ears pierced, mom took me to Wal-Mart for it and the first one had to be done twice because the lady didnt aim right, and the second ear had to be redone because the gun jammed while it was piercing my ear. Quite frankly it traumatized me, and had blood everywhere. Lol so when my daughter gets her ears pierced we will go to a parlor.

Wish Facebook had a EYE-ROLL reaction :roll_eyes::roll_eyes: will be praying for your daughters recovery.

Omg my mom chose the gun lol and the lady didn’t make it even so she did it again!!!

Definitely go with a needle, and do your research into the shop first too, things like cleanliness and whether they’ve done young children’s ear piercings before, having someone with experience for her age would be helpful.
She didn’t ask for your opinions on getting it done or not or when your getting your daughters ears pierced, if ya not gonna answer then keep scrolling  half of you think your shit don’t smell I swear

We went to Walmart and they used the gun fast and easy no tears, just follow after care instructions

Most tattoo shops will NOT Pierce unless the child is old enough to consent. Look around your local places and check reviews.

My 9 month old has her ears pierced and I’ll be damned if any one here is going to put ME down for my decision. All the females in my and my fiance’s family had real portuguese gold earrings as infants as my daughter now does. I waited until she was 6 months but I got mine done at 2 months and I turned out completely fine. There are risk of infections regardless what choice she makes. She isn’t asking for opinions on if it’s right or wrong shes basically asking if she goes to a shop if they will do it because not all of them do babies! My daughter is very well taken care of, very clean and happy. So come at me with your negative comments. This mother didnt ask for them. If my daughter decides she dont want her earrings in? Guess what? It’s a tiny hole and she can take them out! Wow, amazing right?

Wait until she’s old enough to tell you she wants them done. :100:
