Idk, first time mom, 20w4d. But I just think it’s sad how so many when posting, request that no one bashes them, or comments hateful comments. Smh! Sometimes people just need to feel supported, or really don’t know the answer to their own question.
Never in a bottle, but spoonfed at 6 months. Please.do not put ceral and oatmeal in your babys bottle.
3 to 6 months depending on the baby and their swallowing ability.
Some of these comments… yikes.
You just don’t, that’s when. that never belongs in a bottle.
I never did despite my mom telling me to
To people saying never and it’s wrong some doctor tell you too if baby is eating way to much or for acid reflex. Not everyone parents the same first off. And some of these comments are harsh for a mom who is simply asking a question.
You don’t put it in there bottle. Start them on the spoon at 4ish months
Never. It’s terrible for their stomachs…and its a choking hazard
I did with both my kids around 5 months. I didn’t make it thick and watch to make sure they didn’t choke and they are now 9 and almost 16
I wouldn’t put cereal in their bottles the chocking risk is too high
my baby was a preemie and her nutritionist and speech and swallowing therapist both told me to. (I didn’t because she couldn’t handle it) but she is only 7 months and they just suggested this to me. I would suggest adding it to her baby food and giving it to them that way. All mamas and doctors are different.
At 3 months I use to feed it in a spoon a littlle oatmeal.
Some mom’s do and some mom’s don’t. My sister put it in a bowl.
I breastfed him. At six or seven months I started with finger foods like bananas. I can’t remember trying cereal!
At 4 months with two spoons of cereal and made it very milky and fed him with a spoon just once a day.
My 10 pounder got some cereal added to his cup in the hospital.
Follow your child’s needs.
Never. I was told this is a big choking hazard and unless your little ones pediatrician says it’s okay to do so, don’t.
Fed mine with a spoon starting st 2 weeks. Use rice it digests better.
Put oatmeal in a bowl and rice bottles starting like 4 months old then when he was eating well i started mixing his baby foods in his bottle to make shakes and juices from wic if i didnt have much formual in me. We had to buy 2 or 3 extra cans sometimes
I actually haven’t done that, but when I was a month old, there was a night that I would not stop crying. My grandfather (who was a pediatrician) suggested giving me cereal. That did the trick.
4-6 mths depends on how hungry and fast they are growing but just use a spoon, they dont recommend putting it in a bottle.
I started giving my second son cereal when he was two weeks old… but I would put it in his bottle of formula and very thin… the formula was not satisfying him so I started feeding him
Never did. My son could tell the difference and wouldnt drink it. And apparently they say it’s a choking hazard
Never, never fed it to them either. There is not really any nutritional value and a huge choking hazard unless your pediatrician has told you to I’d avoid it. If your child can’t keep their chin off their chest they shouldn’t be taken in anything but formula or breast milk is what my pediatrician told us but people do it and every dr is different. Please consult your pediatrician 1st before doing it
3 months… my daughter had reflux
Dont listen to anyone do what you feel is right
They don’t recommend that anymore because it’s a choking hazard.
5 months with the first one. Only because she was having stomach problems and we tried all the formulas out at the time.
I used rice cereal mixed with the formula very thinned out and I fed my babies every one of them I started at three months rice cereal I started with just a few teeth little baby spoons at a time. And they all did fine
Never add cereal to a bottle, my kids were spoon fed when recommended by the doctor at 6 weeks. It is not healthy to put in a bottle
About two months my mom said formula just wasn’t enough and that’s what she did with all six of us
My son was 3-4 months. Sarah I was lazy lol but he’s a chunk now
