In my state, if he lives with you in your house and isn’t on the lease but yet he receives mail there then you would have to have him evicted. Which is BS, because I almost had to do this with an abusive ex. Good luck!

YES!!! You do have the right! I’ve done it twice before! One actually lived with me and the other didn’t but I’d still kick him out when he came over and the other one I kicked out and did live with me. This is why I put NO MAN on my bills or my lease/rental agreement!

Different states have different laws. You may have to serve him an eviction notice and give him 30 days to leave. Check with the local police department or a paralegal. You need to do it correctly so he can’t sue you.

Depending on where you live, if he has been there for more than 30 days and gets mailed delivered there, then you have to take him to court because that is his residence too.

Different states have different laws if he has mail that comes there or that address is on his drivers license and all his belongings are there and he refuses to leave in most states you have to file an eviction through the court house to get him out. Went through this not to long ago with a friend in Kansas. She had to file an eviction through court and have him served. He had 30 days to get out.

Idk where you live but in Ohio if he changed his legal address to yours, you have to serve a thirty day notice, even if he isn’t paying anything and his name isn’t on the lease. I would ask your landlord, they may be able to help you get him out faster since he isn’t on the lease.

But I will say the way I went about it with my ex whom also paid nothing but was receiving mail here (wasn’t done the best way but I didn’t care bc he refused to leave anyways and I had to pack all his stuff and put it out myself so I wasn’t to concerned about being nice anymore) but I crossed his last name off the slip on my mailbox and wrote not this address every time mail came for him. They rewrote his last name and I crossed it off again and the mail stopped coming. That was in December. He didn’t do a change of address till MARCH then demanded I put it all out in the mailbox for him. Wasn’t to happy when he tried to demand it and got told to get his sh*t from the post office and stay off my property.
From the sounds of it he sounds as dumb as my ex from the “naked pic” comment he made so he may not even know about that law and although I didn’t care myself, it may be better to be safe than sorry. My landlord couldn’t stand him so had no problem backing me if necessary.

My daughter is 3 and can’t send legible messages. Yes you should kick him out but if he has any mail there you have to do a legal eviction, unfortunately. Of course you can always change the locks and if he will leave then great. But typically you have to give 30 days notice because they’ve established residency.
If he has lived there and has had an address change to that address, I would do it the legal way. Get an eviction for him and do it that way. Then he will have 30 days to move out.

Squatters rights are as follows:
Once a person has slept in your home, they legally reside there. As such, you must go file an eviction. You can tell him to go, but legally, he resides there…(even if he is a bum azz bish) lol. Good luck and file on Monday 1st thing!

Some places I know you have to give an actual eviction notice of 30 days. That’s if they have been staying a while and receive mail at your address. I’d call your local sheriff’s and clarify.

Give him a 30 day notice to vacate, if he does not then take him to court. During this 30 day period you need to refrain from any “personal” contact or you will reestablish a co-domestic relationship. If you give him the notice and go to the length of having it notarized and sent to him registered mail he will more than likely just move back to mom’s
