I would tell him to leave, but regardless of the lease and the bills being in your name (assuming you’re in the states) if he has used that address for more than 30 days and has mail come in his name, it’s technically his residence and he would require a 30 days notice.
Don’t tell him that, of course. I would pack his things for him and tell him to kick rocks.

Kick him out and change the locks. He could potentially call the cops and have you have to serve him with 30 day eviction papers, depending on the tenants laws in your area. But I don’t take him for the go getter type like that. Don’t look back, and block his number.

Yes, if you are legally responsible for the lease and the utilities, you have every right to throw him out legally.
However, before you do anything, you should check about the legalities of your state.
If he has contributing to the expenses and/or paying rent to you, he is considered a tenant.
If in your state that he is considered a tenant, you would have to move to evict him
In some states even if he is not contributing to living expenses but a guest you would not be allowed to just “throw him out” with following the eviction procedure.
Call or go to the courthouse, they can explain the procedure ad follow it to a T. You can get the forms at the courthouse or download them on your home computer. You can get him out but it might take a while.
