Has anyone had a breast lump with pain and been fine?

I have had one lump removed and it was fine.

Yeah I did it was a fibroadenoma which is a non cancerous breast tumour.

I have fibrocystic tissue. I have one large cyst on my right breast. They looked into it and it turned out to be a very large cyst. Try not to stress to much. Follow what they say and make sure you know for certain to ease your mind. Sensing good luck your way.

Yes, I had two several years ago. They did aspirations on them and testing came back non-cancerous.
After having them biopsied though my insurance company told me that it would have cost the same to just go ahead and have them removed.

Yup-i have a cyst they monitor every 6 months

I had this happen a couple years ago. Freaked me out because all types of cancers run in my family. Thankfully mine turned out to just be dense breast tissue. Best advice I could give you now is to try not to think the worst. Prayers all goes well with your mammogram.

Just go get a mammogram and put your mind at ease. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 39. If it were to be a worst case scenario, itā€™s better to catch now rather than later.

Yes, mine was a fibroid. Removed it instead of doing a biopsy. Mine wasnā€™t cancerous.

Iā€™ve had one for several years. My doctor recommended not removing it. However it does cause a little discomfort sometimes.

I had a lump in my right side that was called a hamartoma completely fine and the lump was removed

My boobs are always sore and have lumps
My doctor and the ultrasound techs at the hospital told me its normal :upside_down_face:

Yes. Come to find out I just have very dense breast tissue. I had taken a blow to my left breast and it caused a painful, swollen lump. I didnā€™t even remember it happening until that night my breast was swollen like it was engorged. It went away after a couple of weeks but I can still feel where it was.

Yes! I have fibrous/lumpy breasts and sometimes tender to the touch in the same area. They will most likely closely monitor it and schedule your mammo and breast ultrasound every 6 months opposed to yearly. My obgyn also told me to take Vitamin E OTC and it has helped so much. Have faith, everything will be ok.

Yesā€¦ mine was just a cyst thank goodness! Prayers yours is fine!!:pray:

Yep! Iā€™ve had one since I was 12. Everything always checks out fine, but itā€™s still super scary. Praying for good news!

Yes I had one and had to go for testing thankfully non cancerous and just a cyst

Yes, Iā€™m high risk, however I got my first biopsy on a spot and it was cleared

I have fibrocystic tumors all in my breast. Not harmful, but can get itchy sometime

Yes I was about 5 months pregnant and they found it while doing a check up. I was freaked out at first, but I had the ultrasound and then a biopsy which confirmed it was just a fibro adenoma, fatty tumor. I got it surgically removed last year bc it kept growing and was starting to become painful. I called it my titty tumor lol

I get a lump under my right arm while pregnant, currently going through it for the 4th time and it gets tenderā€¦ mine is just a clogged milk duct, when my supply dries up (I donā€™t breast feed) it goes away and just like normal again

Have you had a Covid vaccine? I had one and it was because I had a swollen lymph node in my breast from getting the shot in the same arm twice.

Yes had a lump since 1986 & it never changes. Sometimes painful

I had one when I was pregnant and it was a clogged milk duct and it was painful

I have had one before in everything came out fine they said it was do to having to much caffeine

Help a mama out and respond anonymously on our forum. Has anyone had a breast lump with pain and been fine? - Mamas Uncut

Get that mammogram and KEEP following up with it. If you feel it then let your dr know DO NOT IGNORE. I found one after my car wreck in March and I was VERY persistent and found out I had stage 3 breast cancer but Iā€™m good going to chemo for over 10 weeks so far. Glad it was caught early

I had breast cancer usually if you have cancer in your breast it is not sore.

Thatā€™s how I found mine. The pain. Unfortunately mine is not benign.

yes it just needed needle aspiration. Was nothing but a cyst.

Yes, a cyst, then more cysts followed. I was so worried it was something more sinister and then it was fine. I was also advised that if its painful then its usually a good sign as cancerous lump are most often painless.

I am 32 and last year had a lump. Turns out I have fibrous breast I think is what they called it! If you can move it around and it feels unattached its not as worrisome I was told!

Iā€™ve had 8 precancerous masses removed over the years. Iā€™m 61. Some were painful, some not. Some I found, some on mammograms. My younger sis passed away a couple years ago from breast cancer. Early detection is the key. She had also had a car accident and had shoulder surgery with pins etc and hers wasnā€™t detected early, they thought it was scar tissue , as breast cancer was not in our family. I try to tell myself when it comes up in my own life, Technology is so much more attentive to breast cancer detection. Hang in there. Donā€™t worry yourself. Stress doesnā€™t help. I know thatā€™s easier said than done!! Bless you friend!

Yes, im 37 have a lump in my left breast but itā€™s just a cyst. Had a mammogram and an ultrasound to b sure

Yes. The pain was tremendous. It was a long cyst, totally benign. My prayers are with you.

Iā€™ve heard that usually the bumps that are cancer donā€™t hurt and thatā€™s why they go undetected. The ones that do cause pain are usually something else.

Please just get things checked out. I was stage 3 breast cancer age 37 in 2005. Mine hurt and I had heard the same thing. I am 53 now so no matter what your situation turns out to be, you got this!!

Yes about 20 years back I had a lump that was sore and painful and they removed it with a syringe, it was caused from fibrocystic breast disease and they are benign

I had 2 lumps- one was removed, but tested non-cancerous. They couldnā€™t figure out what it was. The other ended up being a cyst that a specialist followed for awhile. Keep the faith. My best wishes are with you!

I have a lump that seems to come and go, and is sore when pressure applied such as laying on my belly or after being irritated. Iā€™ve had mammogram and so far so good. :crossed_fingers:

Pain is usually a good sign. I am an oncology nurse. Most breast cancer lumps are no painful. I had a slightly painful lump one of the breast docs looked at for me and an ultrasound was done. They couldnā€™t even see anything on the US and in a few days it was gone - turned out to just be a cyst! Sending positive vibes your way!

Yes. If the lump is round, its probably fatty tissue. But donā€™t take chances. Get the mammogram asap and if they recommend a biopsy, get that too. I have lots of lumps that are nothing because I have fibroids in my breast but I did have one that was a large cyst that needed to be drained once. It didnā€™t hurt at all.

My Mom had a cyst once. It was painful when she had it. But it was removed easily.

Yes, had biopsy (felt every bit of it) but was a cyst thankgoodness! All the best!

Yes, I continue to have intermittent pain in the area. I had a mammo with ultrasound and nothing came of it. Itā€™s on the outer area of my breast. I think underwire pressure has made a home there. Glad youā€™re getting yours checked out. Also, IUDs can cause intermittent pain and lumps. Got one of those too. Good luck.

I had mastitis twice a couple years ago. First time I was scared to death. Had it cut out and tested. 2nd time I didnā€™t even bother going to the dr. Called and asked for an antibiotic

I have it was a calcium deposit build up. I was 32. Just from nursing my daughter.
Please donā€™t stress right now. Do Not pay attention to our little story. Each person is different, Family History is more dependable.
If by chance you should have Breast Cancer you have a higher survival chance. Chemo and Radiation treatments are Beasts.
Iā€™m giving this advice a sweet friend who went through this shared.
She forced herself to eat no matter how sick she was after. She would go back and eat again. Proteins Beef, Turkey, some chicken, Green Leafy Veggies for Iron, her husband would make her Protein drinks good days it was with Yogurt, bad days it was added proteines into high iron veg drinks. He did this because chemo kills off cells good and bad,

Yes, I had one 20 years ago. It was terrifying but, it turned out to be a cyst (thankfully) so I have been very vigilant about examining myself as well as my ob, ever since. I pray you get answers soon, and are just fine!

Yes I have. Last year when I was 36 I did. It ended up being a swollen lymph node from a prior spider bite. I also had to have 2 cuz of dense breast tissue praying for u

Yes I have. It was my 3rd lump, but first that was painful. The previous 2 lumps were benign, as was the third (painful) lump. I have a HUGE family history of breast cancer. . . Basically every woman except one has been diagnosed. Perhaps you can get a needle core biopsy and a small ā€œclipā€ at the site for future monitoring. Good luck to you. Iā€™m praying all goes well.

Yes, I had a benign tumour removed in my breast. They said it was in the lymph nodes. It definitely hurt. But was nothing.

I have fatty cysts. Multiple lumps and pain. If pain persists I can have them removed. It comes and goes. But I continue to get mammograms and ultrasounds. I have dense breast tissue so both need to be done.

Needle aspiration biopsy would let you know if cyst or cancer. I have had a cyst in my left breast since I was 17.

Yes. They said it was from too much caffeine. I dont remember the exact term. Just try to think positive. Iā€™m praying for you

Regularly have a cyst - same side, same place. Sometimes aspirated by family doctor, if I have found it. If itā€™s found in the mammogram, I get called for an ultrasound to determine if it is a cyst (shows as fluid on the ultrasound) or a solid mass. Has always been a cyst - Thank the Lord! Mine is always tender or painful when it is a cyst.

Keep checking for changes to the lump. I had a small lump that stung a little got checked straight away booked for altrasound, mammogram and biopsy. In 2 weeks I noticed some pinching of the skin around the lump. Changes happened quickly. Turned out to be early stage 2 breast cancer. Had chemo and radiation and 3 years on am back on track. I was lucky that I moved early or things may have been very different.

Have cysts they hurt but are fine donā€™t panic if you have to go back for ultrasound I always have to and its nothing. But I will pray for you in the meantime.

It may be a cyst. I had a number of them when I was younger and they were sore. At one point, I did have a lump that was not sore and it turned out to be cancer. It was found when I had my yearly mammogram.

Breast cancer tumors can and do hurt. I found mine and it was defiantly cancer. Caught it early. Do not skip the mammogram. You may save your own life.

I used to have some painful cysts, now I have breast cancer. The tumor felt different than the cysts and a higher level of pain. Get all your tests done and I wish you well. I hope yours is benign but no matter what youā€™ve got this!! Thereā€™s so much support here

If you are having an abundance of caffeine one can get ā€œlumpsā€ cysct. The caffeine cause them to increase and sometimes pain. In my early 20ā€™s o was diagnosed with fibrocystic disease. I was having coffee and brownies almost everyday in a.m. was my daily stop before work. It all caught with me. Ive learned to watch my intake.

Yes. I had surgery to remove 2 lumps that kept growing and were painful. Iā€™m grateful to say that they were just fatty tumors.

Yes I had. Had mammogram and a lumpectomy in same day, everything was fine.

I used to do mammograms. I was taught that if the lump is painful itā€™s not cancer. That being said make sure :100: it is confirmed negative. You never know if you are the one in a million.

My doctor told me that excess caffeine could cause painful lumps, cysts. I pray thatā€™s all but is but def get the mammogram

I had an infection once it was clogged milk duct but my daughter was diagnosed with stage 3 a breast cancer she has been going through chemo a lumpectamy and now radiation she was told she is cancer free now she has been stuck in India going on a year and a half

Yes mine was a lymph node that was swollen and painful! Good luck my dear!

Yes, I had a cyst. Cancer isnā€™t painful when you find it, but be sure to get your mammogram.

Yes it was a cyst. But this year I had a lump removed and did radiation for a month on the same breast. Have it checked out and do mammogram every year.

Had a breast lump biopsied last year. It was a cyst that when the doctor aspirated it, it disappeared!

Yes If you drink a lot of caffeine you can get Kathy nodules in there and they are painful

My aunt had breast cancer and was told that it is more worrisome if a lump does NOT hurt.

I had one 45 years ago that was painful. My Dr said usually painful ones are ok. Do get it checked though.

I have had one for 10 years every time I get mammogram they call me back in for more test they just keep a eye on it about period time it hurts more

I had breast cancer ā€¦just stage 1ā€¦I never felt the lumpā€¦now the cysts we can have do cause pain and discomfortā€¦good luckā€¦dont be afraid ā€¦dr told me if it had been 5 years earlier for my HER2 + diagnosisā€¦he would have been giving me a death sentenceā€¦medicine has changed soooo muchā€¦they know what their doingā€¦have peace ā€¦prayers for youā€¦I have been cancer free 2 n half years now

Why has cystic breast tissue. Could be a cyst donā€™t freak until you know. "Easier said than done i knowā€¦ praying for you

I have a fluid retention cyst in my breast, have it for many years, keep getting it checked and itā€™s fine, never gets bigger.

Very common most of the time itā€™s a benign cyst but always have them checked out.

Yes my lump was very painful when the biopsie came back it was cancer that was 10 yrs ago

Yes, just went through that last week, mine is located behind my nipple which was a cause of concern, after a few 3d scans & ultra sounds theyā€™ve come to the conclusion its a nodule, another check up in 6 months to insure it doesnā€™t grow. Good luck, try & stay positive, I stressed out so badly I caused stomach issues & ended up the hospital for 2 days over that

Yes. Turned out to be cysts. Iā€™ve had them biopsied and are benign. My mother has them too. Prayers for you that all is wellšŸ™

Yes I did and the removed it, because it just hurt to much all the way under my Armpit, it was benign, donā€™t let them Needle aspiration it will come back and bigger and more pain, if it is benign tell them you wanted removed

Im 31 and I am getting sent to a cancer center due to a lump found in my breast. It doesnt hurt but luckily was found due to blood that was discharging from my n!pple

I just went through that. I had 5 masses. Had biopsies and everything was fine. Try not to worry. Many are just benign cysts.

Yes about 20 yrs agoā€¦was a cyst & aspirated with a needleā€¦fluid was drained via aspiration & cleared up the cyst.

Mine pea size hard knot was sore to mash on. Found on my own. Breast cancer found 9 years ago. Iā€™m now cancer free.

Yes. I have a couple of them yet every time I get tested.they have been fine. I have been getting tested since my early teens. I have had four surgeryā€™s to have non malignant lumps removed

I had a lump in my breast and then they removed it and tested it and it wasnā€™t cancer and it was sore

Had a lump was very painful found out it was caused by to much caffeine

The worst thing you could do is panic. I had breast cancer 14 years ago and I didnā€™t panic. It does not change the outcome. If they didnā€™t do a biopsy right away then it is probably a fatty tissue. You will be fine.

No lump is fine! Donā€™t panic but please make sure you have the mammogram done. If you feel in your gut something is going on have another one done.

Yes. It was a cyst, not cancer. They biopsied it. That was over 40 years ago and no probs since.

I started getting them after I had a partial hysterectomy the Dr told me to cut down on my caffeine and I stop getting them.

Be aggressive. If they say wait 6 mths. Donā€™t. Ask for surgeon asap. I have had a fibroid that hurt. Removed after mammo at 35. I find lipomas but have them removed after my friend had a lump and they were going to watch it. I pushed her at 40. Diagnosed with stage 3.chemo and radiation. Still here 22 yrs later
