Speaking from experience, soak her hair in vegetable oil and leave on for several hours. Only thing that worked for my kids after trying about 15 other remedies. Donโ€™t laugh, just do it!

Try mayo it suffocates them

Soak down hair with olive oil. Try to put a shower cap on her. Keep on all night. It suffocates the lice. Then wash and rinse in the morning.

Not enough time to send her and not risk spreading it. Call the school so they can check the other kids

Try mayonnaise put on her head and put a shower cap on leave 2 hours comb and wash should loosen all the nits so they come out easy

Sorry just saw age. No shower cap on 1 year old. But just soak with olive oil. Leave on over night. Itโ€™ll be messy. Wash and rinse in morning.

You have to treat more than her head. Lice move aroundโ€ฆif you get rid of what is on her scalp tonight, they will be back. You need to sterilize her bed, brushes, towels, etc.

The comb is the best option. Make sure her head is tangle free before bed. And comb again and again. Killing them only works so much. You must remove them.

Mayo is good for nits. Your going to have to do it a few times and Iโ€™ve also used results from the drug store to help. You need to keep on it because the nits will hatch and start the cycle all over again. Time consuming but it needs to be done.

Oil and comb when she falls asleep

Saturate her hair with baby oil and leave on for a few hours, comb out & wash with regular shampoo.

It sounds like you have two ethical options. Either tell the school and keep her home tomorrow, or shave her head.

Do not send your child to school with lice! Do not be that parent! Shes little so you need to treat more than her head, her stuffies, her toys and blankeys.

Dampen her hair, sit her in your lap with some sort of distraction, toy or tablet, etc. Then take conditioner and apply a lot section by section, then you want to comb out the conditioner, it helps trap the knits and lice. Do this to her whole head. Afterwards, wash your comb, sanitize and repeat every day for a week, after a week i would still check every other day to make sure that they arenโ€™t returning or hatching as their incubation is around 2 weeks

If using the silver comb through her hair conditioner through the hair works great

Olive oil on her hair and everyone elseโ€™s hair who lives in the home. The shampoo and vacuum all the carpet as well as wash all bedding and spray tea tree oil on and vacuum all soft surfaces like couches and mattresses. Unfortunately you donโ€™t have enough time to make it safe to send her to school tomorrow without risking infecting the other kids and teachers with lice.

Please donโ€™t send your child to school with lice.

Mayo, olive oil or hair grease anything super oily will help them slide off. Sheโ€™ll probably look really oily for a while but thatโ€™ll help new ones not be able to stick

Try blow drying it I found it dries the lice and eggs out making them easier to remove

Lady bugs you can get it at great clips

You need to wash bedding every day till you get rid of itโ€ฆ
Also bag all stiff animals for weeksโ€ฆ vacuum couch dailyโ€ฆ
Go to drug store and use the shampoo they give you especially for liceโ€ฆ
It takes more than a day if you havenโ€™t cleaned your house as well as her and other members of the familyโ€ฆ
Do not send child to schoolโ€ฆ
You will give to other kids and be doing this a few times because it will get back to you

Mayo!!! Put it in her hair for 30 mins then wash it out make sure u blow dry every day her hair as it will kill all niys and bugs

And why didnt you do anything before handโ€ฆshouldnt have waited till last minute.

And theres no way to get rid of it in one night aside from shaving her head and your head because you are going to have it to.
And wash every single piece of clothing you own and all blankets and pillows. And then find some type of steam cleaner or furniture lice treatment and thoroughly scrub and clean all your furniture and beds.

To many kids go to school & daycare with lice & the cycle continues for monthsโ€ฆthey dont do head checks @ school like yrs agoโ€ฆits so aggravatingโ€ฆeven if u treat ur child & clean ur home top to bottomโ€ฆthey will get it from others

Lice will definitely not be gone by tomorrow unless there was literally one or two. Please donโ€™t send your child to school without properly getting rid of it, Iโ€™ve personally had to treat my hair until it was falling out because people didnโ€™t want to correctly and thoroughly get rid of a lice problem with their children.

My so got lice from the hairdresser after a haircut. He had just turned 1. Luckily h wasnt in daycare yet.
Emu oil worked when he would sit and let me comb it. But i ended up getting a lice conditioner from the pharmacist and sat him in the bath and combed his hair while he was busy playing. Also treat all out bedding and lounges and bug bombed the house and had my partner spray the cars and car seats.
Tea tree oil does work great as it worked when i was kid but now im allergic so canโ€™t have any contact with it and we both have sensitive skin so i had to find other ways around it.

Saturate her hair with coconut oil every night for a week. Will kill them before they hatch! And it washes out easy with shampoo.

I would def call the pediatrician. A lot of home remedies work well with head lice, but with her being so young, itโ€™s probably be safe to get advice from a doctor

If you send her to school with lice youโ€™re shit.

Mayo. Soak her hair in it and put a cap on it. Leave it for about an hour then comb through it wash all bedding and clothes, spray all furniture and curtains with lice spray, throw stuffed animals and pillows into a trash bag for 2 weeks to suffocate what is on them

cover her hair in mayo, put her hair in a plastic bag overnight then wash it in the morning. the mayo suffocates all the lice and nits. make sure to wash all bedding and anything she came in contact with in hot water and dry in high heat. i had this issue and this is what worked. hope it helps!

She is one right? Did everyone miss that? You cannot put nix or rid on a 1yoโ€ฆ Youโ€™re gonna have to go the entirely natural route. It will not be gone in a day. Vacuum all carpet and bag up all stuffed animals, decorative pillows, bed pillows (switch them out), bedding, baby dolls, everyoneโ€™s clothes, anything with fur or hair or any kind of fabric. Double bag them in large trash bags and put them up for around 3 days. Or dry all that stuff on high heat for 30-45min. No need to wash. Vacuum your furniture, you can also buy a lice spray for furniture. Do the same with all the beds and buy plastic covers-- while they arenโ€™t impenetrable, they help a lot! Tea tree oil is more of a preventative measure. It can treat, but it doesnโ€™t rlly help with the eggs. Your best bet is to do her hair while your child is sleeping. Itโ€™s hard for a bigger kid to be still, much less a little baby 1 yo. I donโ€™t have much advice for the actual treatment of her hair, the remedies donโ€™t work as well as the medicated shampoo. At her age I would call her pedi for advice and I donโ€™t rlly call them for advice on much. If she has lice, you almost definitely do btw. I can only imagine like a teeny tiny chance you donโ€™t have it. Iโ€™d treat myself JIC anyhow

You have to treat the house all fabric, put all soft toys I big bags and out of house , wash all clothes and place in bags , spray all fabric surfaces, put all bedding in wash then in bags , same with pillows. Only take out what you need and run thu dryer on high till vary hot .
Treat hair , get a lice kill comb

Call the doctor when my son caught lice from school the over the counter stuff just didnt help. We treated him 4 times. The doctor didnโ€™t want him to come into the office so they just called him in a RX and it worked like a charm.

Nix for super lice shampoo and house treatment then daily wash of hair with prevention shampoo

Cetaphil facial cleanserโ€ฆ My oldest had super lice onceโ€ฆ this is the ONLY thing that got rid of them. Coat hair with cetaphil. Then blow dry until itโ€™s as dry as you can get it, leave it on for a while while you treat the rest of the house normally then wash and nit combโ€ฆ repeat in a week to be sure.

Hand sanitizer.
Put it on the lice comb and the nits come out instantly.

Of course you need to find the adult bug too. But I swear by sanitizer

Lice free gel spray, leave it in, let it dry and then wash as normal. My step daughter had them for 10 YEARS. The only time she was clear, when we treated her with this stuff.

The best way to get rid of lice is lice treatment but because she is so young you need to call her Dr. asap. I would not send her to school until you know itโ€™s 100% taken care of.

Nyda is the only product that worked when my daughter got them. It suffocates them. Nix and vinegar didnโ€™t work at all. You have no choice about the combing and picking out every single nit. You have to do it or theyโ€™ll keep coming back. I just did it while she watched tv.

Mayo and a shower cap overnight

Mayo is good works leave Mayo in overnight with a shower cap on rinse out in the morning

Put aloe (the stuff for sunburns) in her hair in the morning so that itโ€™s good and wet, let it dry and at bath time wash as normal. Itโ€™s loosens the flue on the eggs and kiss any bugs that may still be there. That was the only thing that ever worked for my girls who both had extremely long hair and it leaves the scalp and hair soft and conditioned.

When you get it out use rosemary spray you can get some from Walmart by the lice stuff its a detamgler and also lice prevention I use it on my daughters hair every school day we started in kindergarten and sheโ€™s in 2nd grade never had a case

Mayonnaise. My parents did it for me when I had lice. Let it sit in there overnight wearing a shower cap and they were gone the next day.

Any oil? soak her hair in it and section it off, then run comb through should get most

Put listerine in a spray bottle. Let it soak with shower cap on head for 1-2hrs. It sorta burns โ€ฆ then rinse out. Use conditioner & comb through.

Wash the car seat too. If you use the blow dryer it will dry out the eggs and any live lice. The lice specialists told us that. They heat treat and they said what they do is no different than using a hair dryer in one spot for 30 seconds. Just make sure you use it on low you donโ€™t want to hurt the baby

Get a shower cap put mayo in hair put on cap leave in over night an the next day nits should easily come out by comb

Some of these comments are severely unsafe. Does anyone monitor them?

Coconut oil. Use shower cap and hair dryer to heat it up without burning her head. I put on warm. Fine tooth comb and get them out manually. Then add tea tree oil in her shampoo to prevent them from coming back

Dye her hairโ€ฆ It will kill every single on of them. This truly is the only way to get rid of every single one by tomorrowโ€ฆ And she can be the cool kids with pink hair

Iโ€™ve heard mayonnaise works because it suffocates them. Then use shampoo and/or conditioners with coconut because they donโ€™t like the smell. I have never had to get rid of lice (I pray I never do), but I have heard many people swear by these.

Fairytales lice treatment. Bag up all the stuffies, pillows, etc. Wash all bedding, blankets, car seat. Vacuum. Repeat the treatment as directed so you donโ€™t end up with another round of it.

Coke cola let dry on head then wash after drying on her head wash right out

I did and mayo and tea tree oil mask on my girls hair when they got it last year. I left it on their hair for 2 hours. It worked wellโ€ฆit killed all the lice, but I still had to go through and pick them out.

Rubbing alcohol put leave in an he cover with a plastic shower cap then shampoo and com. Them out

I used olive oil for the kids and the bugs never came back! It suffocates them.

Olive oil her head itโ€™ll suffocate them and give her real nice locks once you rinse it all out

Ivermectin 10 mils mixed with water in a spray bottle. Spray just the scalp. They will all die , nits and lice. Doctors have recommended this method going back ages.

Youโ€™re not getting it out in a day smh I had it as a kid. Mayo, tea tree oil, lice shampoo, comb. Bag all pillows and stuffed animals. Wash all bedding and clothes in hot water and spray surfaces you canโ€™t wash. But most importantly, keep your kid home until itโ€™s completely gone. Youโ€™re gonna cause issues for every other parent AND the school because you wanted to be impatient.

Ok year old? Shave her head
