How much money does the tooth fairy leave your child?

We do $1 for a tooth. The only time a child got $20 was when they had oral surgery and 6 teeth were pulled due to overcrowding.

I went a little crazy with my first son gave him 20 and a gift lol now I give 5 bucks some times the tooth fairy is late my 11 year old said he didn’t believe and still put his tooth under the pillow and got up and said the tooth fairy didn’t come I said well if you don’t belive how are they to come

Depends on what tooth it is an if it’s more than one. Two front teeth are an easy $20 each bc they’re the special ones that give us lots of laughter when the kid loses them bc of how they speak an say certain words an then how they look when they smile it’s just full of funny cuteness that lasts for sometime. Molars are $5-10 each. Then the rest are like a dollar or two. I never give out change bc they lose that far to easily and also a dollar at least allows them to get something on their own to help feel independent.

I always just give $1. This may be unpopular, and quite frankly, I don’t care. If my kid’s rooms are a complete mess, they get nothing. I tell them that the tooth fairy has a lot of homes to go to, and can’t risk getting injured while trying to safely navigate their room. They get 3 chances to clean it up. If they choose not to, than they get nothing. Everyone’s budget is different. I know some people who have given $10 to $20, I know other’s who have given gifts like a new bike. When I was growing up, I’d get a dollar from the tooth fairy when I was home, but if I was at my Dad’s, the tooth fairy left me a $2 bill. I never questioned why it was different.

1 crisp dollar bill. I’m gonna go get a bunch of silver dollars. The first lost tooth they don’t get money just a new toothbrush and stuff

$1… I also did $2 bill for the front teeth

We do $20 for the first. And try to leave a $2 bill for every one thereafter. Depending on what’s in the wallet if its a late night fall out though they have gotten $5 or $10 sometimes.

She got $20 for her first, then $50 for her second, then $10 for the rest. Sometimes the tooth fairy also bring lotto scratchers bc the kid loves lotto scratchers :rofl:
It was so much for the second bc she was sick and literally projectile vomited so hard it knocked it out and I just couldn’t bring my self to dig it out of the vomit bucket and she was sooooooooooooo upset, so of course we vastly over compensated

We do $5 for the big ones and usually $1 or $2 for the smaller ones

$5 first tooth. $1 for each after.

As a momma , do what you think is okay . I plan to leave 10 or so for my baby when her tooth falls but to also explain that the tooth fairy only leaves as much as she can carry that day . Just in case I can’t do bigger bills she won’t be as disappointed

I leave 2$ per tooth. There has been times when the dentist had to remove more than one at a time so they got I believe 4$ that time but generally 2$

Yeah, we went $20 for the first tooth. Now it’s whatever I can scrape up. One time the tooth fairy had a real busy night and had to come the next night because…I totally forgot. This isn’t one we try real hard to keep up with in our house.

We don’t do tooth fairy stuff, but my kids get $5 a tooth, :hugs:

2 for first 1 for rest

It’s different for each family. We give what ever we can at the time. Some times it’s 5, 10, 1 or even special coin

We got $5 when we lost our first teeth growing up. Tooth fairy was drunk one night and slipped a $50 instead of a $5 under my pillow. Dad said once you turn 8 that the tooth fairy pays in full for all future lost teeth and not to expect anymore money after that…:joy::joy:

I do the dollar amount for whatever number of tooth they’re on. So my daughters next tooth, she’ll get $9 since it’s the 9th tooth she’s lost.

$2 one dollar bills decorated with colored glitter glue, a handwritten thank you card and some good chocolate.

The tooth fairy only left a $20 when we had to bribe our kid to let us pull a second tooth at the same time - both her front teeth were ultra wiggly and turning gray and gross. It was desperation calling! LOL

$5 but that was 30 years ago

My ex did that and totally took the fun out of it to be honest xx

$1.00-1.50. My daughter was thrilled to get shiny quarters and notes from the tooth fairy. Helps that she was learning about money in her grade one math class.

$20 because our tooth fairy never seems to have cash on her last minute or is so busy with her tooth fairy life that she forgets. So she often leaves $20-40 to make up for her short comings.

We did $20 for the first tooth and $5 after that because the first tooth is special

£1 when he was 4/5 yrs
£2 at 7,8,9yrs
And £5 at 10,11yrs
My child has autism and acts little younger than his age. But since Al his teeth has been lost he starts high schoolcso tooth dairy doesn’t come now she has all his teeth, he now does chores for pocket money

Our tooth fairy always left a single $2 bill , 5 tooth related stickers or temporary tattoos, a brand new character toothbrush and travel size tooth paste. In a shiny treat bag pouch. I would also sprinkle a little confetti by the bed for when they wake up. Never glitter -

Oh the tooth fairy leave a dollar, with a note, a cute font in pink or purple I use glitter glue to make little tiny fairy footprints and then sprinkle glitter on the card and a small amount on the dogs head so she’ll think the tooth fairy had to put him to sleep with fairy dust  it’s about the memory not the amount.

The first time we left $20 after that it depended upon the well they took care of their teeth ( ex. If they were brushing them correctly and such) we would pay up to $10 per tooth as well as they fell out and not had to be pulled out from the dentist

We don’t believe in that, however, there’s nothing really that a kid could buy for a couple dollars these days. I dont think $20 is that bad

$2 a tooth, and also due to the last name and where it sat on the list, our tooth fairy only visited on Saturday nights, lol.

Depends on how much money we have. I never know. But then again, both my kids lost like 5 in a day or two. They get whatever I have at the time. Ugh! Luckily they don’t lose them while the sibling loses them. I’d be broke then.

I always left $20 for the bigger teeth like molars :tooth: etc. that especially hurt etc so they got more for them.
