How often do you bathe your children?

Weird question I guess but how many times do you bathe your children a week?

My boys love playing in the mud and dirt. They bathe everyday

Daughter every other day cuz I have to braid her hair after and she has to leave it in or it mats. Keeps her hair from matting in her sleep and after taking it out it doesn’t mat and extra day. My sons 10 and Harder to shower lately. I claim success getting him in there 2 or 3 times a week

Every single day!!! :blossom::100:

Babies every other day 1 year + every night, specially in the summer. My boys have been showering twice a day. Morning and night.

More in the summer than in the winter because it cause dry skin in the winter. Because mine plays outside it would depend on that during the summer. Could be daily could be once a week. Once they hit teen years it should be more frequent because of body odor and puberty.

Every night for the older ones and every other night for my 3 month old

I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and they bath everyday - it’s part of their night-time routine… :pray:t3:

On the rare occasion - if they haven’t been to pre-school or been outside too much we let them have a “piggy night”…

Every other day usually

3 month old every night as it’s part of her routine and my other 2 whenever i win the battle

Every other day unless they get very dirty certain days like have sports or something.

My 9 month old every other day unless dirty from playing. My oldest 10 everyday, my 4 yr old same as baby.

It’s in the 100°s right now, my son is needing 2+ baths a day.

I did every night as routine and winding down to relax for bed. They slept better.

Every day and in the summer twice from going to the pool or just playing outside.

At least once a day. It’s hot and my son loves dirt. He also loves his animals.

It depends on what they did that day. If we were home bodies that day, then not necessarily means a bath. If they’re visibly dirty or they have sweated at all, they get a bath. Or if they ask for one. :woman_shrugging:

2-3 times a week for my littles (3,4 & 5) and daily for my not-so-little (12). You do what works for you as long as your kids aren’t smelly or dirty. It’s different for everyone.

My boys 4 and 9 shower my 4 year old would live in the shower if he could so when they ask but try limit to once a day lol 9 year old is if not everyday it’s when he wakes the second Dat and they spend at least 10-15 minutes in the shower

Every other day unless otherwise needed.

When they are dirty.

Sometimes that’s two or three times a day, other times two or three times a week.

The one that’s in puberty gets two a day.

We have incredibly dry skin, so probably should bathe less, but can’t handle them underarms.

I’m a nanny. Some parents wanted me to bathe their children every night while others only wanted me to bathe them once a week. It depends on the family, I guess.

Every other day usually. But we will add in a bath if we did something dirty or if she went swimming in a lake or needs it in-between.

Our entire family starts our day with baths and showers. It’s like our morning coffee. Most days we all take multiple showers a day. We love to smell and feel clean. I’m ocd when it comes to personal hygiene.

Mostly every other day, unless they have a sport practice/game, we go to the beach or have a bonfire, used mosquito spray … something that really requires a shower.

Nightly but that’s because they’re messy toddlers, the 10 year old can go every other night for showers in winter but nightly in summer

I’ve always bathed all my children daily from the start. Sometimes twice a day if they’ve played and got muddy or even they ask to go have an extra bath. Boys of 12,9 and 5.

Lol we’re in TX, it’s hot AF. :joy: We bathe my baby every time she comes from outside. Like 3-4 times a day. She’s one.

My son is almost 2, he has eczema prone skin so he bathes twice a week

Daily. My kids have always bathed regularly, babies sit in pee and poo in diapers. Kids are dirty, they need to be cleaned once a day. IMO. Lol

Only on the days that end in Y.

OMFG. Everyday at least, sometimes more often.
When my kids went to school, twice a day, morning and night. Even after pool activity.
Who wants stinky kids ?

Honestly, depends on how dirty he gets during the week. At least 3 times a week, but he’s also got fine, curly hair

Every other day I have him shower or bath.

Some weeks, 3 times a week. Some weeks, 15-20 times a week. It all depends on what they’re doing, what they’ve eaten, and how gross they get.

Mine differs. 11yr old- she’s a battle. Every other day is the most she will do. My 5yr loves showers and hates staying dirty (he loves playing in it but likes to be clean after) so every day!! My 2yr old is a messy girl when eating and loves to play out side, she’s bath every day. Our 6 month old has escma so it’s every 2-3 days in an oatmeal bath.

At least every other day unless they need it more. More in the summer.

Oldest is everyday. He’s in the middle of puberty and sometimes daily doesn’t seem enough. Younger two could be every other day but if they get messy it could be daily. Just depends.

Well he’s my water baby
So he likes to shower 3x a day every day. Sometimes it be juat one shower a day. He’s only 2.

Rn with Texas heat everyday , usually tho it’s Every other day or couple days because his eczema rash depends how dirty he’s gotten or if we were out the house and need to get germs off. ( I have a compromised immune system so bathe when we get home if out )

Every other day unless it’s needed like we go to the lake.

I saw something on tik tok about people losing their minds kids don’t get washed every day  my daughter is almost 6 and showers her self. She likes to shower every day usually. My son is every other day unless he needs it sooner!

Once or twice. A dermatologist my son was seeing told me it is absolutely terrible on skin to bath more than once or twice a week.

I don’t bathe them anymore lol, one’s an adult and the other two are teenagers.

Under 2 years old I would bathe them every other night. Now they are older so everyday.

Depends on how dirty they got :no_good_woman:

Everyday, but my son took 2 baths and a shower today lol he’s 5

I think ideally for babies and young kids every 2-3 days , unless they actually get dirty , either from eating or playing outside , and even from playing outside you could get away with just a wash cloth and some soapy water. To much bathing can lead to dry skin and strip the natural oils from their hair as well as their skin , babies especially is so sensitive.
My daughter is now seven and she has a shower every two days and washes her hair twice a week like myself.

When I had 1-2 little kids it was every night/almost every night. Then 5 times a week as they got older. Now I have 3 kids and they bathe every 2-3 days. On occasion it goes longer because I’m an exhausted single Mum  and they can’t wash or dry themselves (Autism). It’s not a weird question. I used to ask it! I was shocked when people said they washed their babies/kids only once a week.

Everyday!!
IDK how y’all doing otherwise.

Every night :crescent_moon: but mine are old enough 12, 11, 8, and 5.

My kids are older now. Before when they were little every 3 to 4 days. If they were dirtier more often. Now that they are getting older. Every other- sometimes every day

Every other day unless otherwise needed.

He’s been taking a bath everyday since he was a new born, unless he has a cold

6 days a week but I have boys and they hate baths :weary::weary:!!! But funk is not allowed in my home :face_with_diagonal_mouth::joy:

Daily, but I don’t wash hair everyday. That’s roughly every other day, depending on the goings on

daily…. kids are super gross & they’re around other people everyday. not bathing is not an option in my house.

As an adult don’t u bathe everyday?

Every other day in winter, almost every day in the summer. Sometimes if he’s had a chill day where he didn’t get gross I let him skip it. He’s 5.

I would love to say I’m one of those parents who makes bath time happen every day but listen, single mom life is rough and the pool absolutely counts as a bath :new_moon_with_face:

Big kids every other day. Or If they go to the pool.
The toddler? Whenever we get to it or he needs it

Every other day during the summer unless they go out and get dirty. Some days it’s way to hot in Louisiana to even go outside. But during school time every day.

Every other day for 6, and 10 yr old. Unless they get super dirty doing something. My 10 year old hates showers and it’s always a struggle.

Every day its our daily routine. I feel that it calms them.

Every night! We play every day outside and it’s definitely necessary

Every day in the summer, every other day in the winter

Every day for my 1 year old , my older ones 4,7,10 normally shower every morning & every night

Every night before bed to relax and calm them. It was part of the routine.

My daughter takes a shower everyday… but I only wash her hair 2-3 times a week.

Maybe 2-3 times a week, my oldest maybe not as often or more depending on what hes doing during the day , both my boys have terrible eczema so it’s recommended not to bath them every day.

Everyday with lavender in the night time bath… i used a lavender baby soap… helps to calm.

Everyday sometimes multiple times, I have 3 boys who play outside a lot and in winter/ spring they get muddy fast!

Summer at least once a day sometimes 2 depending on activites and in the cooler months atleast every other day

We do a full bath (with soap) about twice a week for my 19 month old. In between those baths, we also do a “just playing in the water” bath at least once. If all we do are the ones with soap, she starts to hate bathtime and will cry the entire time. Letting her have those times to just play and rinse helps.

Every other day unless dirty.

6 times a week. We usually take Friday off (unless we have somewhere important to be on Saturday) because everyone is exhausted by Friday night.

My 13 month old, somewhere between 5 times a week and 3 times a day. It depends on what we do that day and how messy his eating was. My 11 year old, usually every other day.

We have 6 kids & they all shower or bath everyday.
I honestly think that bathing or showering daily is a necessity for hygiene reasons, even if they are not visibly dirty.
Makes you feel nice too, especially hoping in bed all nice & clean.

In the summer, when needed, during school 1-5 times a week, really just depends

My twins r 7. Bathe every day

Please , allow me to be the bad mom . I bathe my 1 year old every 3-4 days , wipe downs between , unless she is just down right messy …

My 4 year old , I bathe her every other day to every 3rd day … She isn’t messy ever …

I do it this way because my kids are allergic to lotions and the water dries their skin out .

Every other day unless they get dirty for my kids aged 9m, 2yr, 4yr and 7yr.
Every day for my 10yr and 17yr.

3,5,5,6- I try to bathe them every other day if we can. Sometimes is every two days.

I have 3 boys I shower them 3 times a week they definitely don’t need a bath everyday bad for their skin and hair but I feel like it’s just up to whatever the child’s activity level is and what they did during the day

My kiddos get naturally dry skin and hair easily so we do every other day unless they’re super messy.

Every other day unless they obviously need it sooner or have important events the next day. Otherwise it’s every other day

Evert day, same way I bathe Myself. We pee and poop every day, We bathe every day.

I like having a shower every night before bed. It relaxs me so I do the same for the kiddos before they go to bed.

Apparently not enough according to this comment section  Whenever they are dirty :woman_shrugging:t4: My kids have their dad’s sensitive skin and it does terrible if they bathe daily. I’d say all 3 of them, ages 7, 3, and 2, bathe 2 or 3 times a week.

Depends on what they did that day.

Summer time: just about every day
Winter time: every other day.
(Otherwise their skin gets really dry)

Every night. It sets a bedtime routine. I shower or bathe everyday, so our kids did too. After brushing teeth, it was a bedtime story.

I guess not enough lol. My youngest (18 months) gets a bath 1-2 times a week unless he’s really messy from dinner or something. My oldest (almost 8) usually takes a shower a few times a week but we’re starting to have him shower everyday only because he’s starting to have an issue with some stinky pits.

Every evening they are 5/6 I wash their hair twice a week and give them a steam treatment but rinse their hair off almost every night because it’s hot

Everyday. Sometimes twice if they woke up smelling like pee or as they got older sweat really bad overtime. Their skin was fine.

depending on how dirty they are but usually every 2-3 days

4year old. Every night he gets a bath. Sometimes we skip a Friday or Saturday. But everyday during the week

My daughter she’s 6, likes a bath or shower once a day. My son who’s 1, takes a bath once a day.

My 3 kids (3 this month and then a 21 month old and 19 month old) maybe 2 or 3 times a week if we have time. My son (21 months) won’t leave my alone when I shower so normally he takes a shower with me when I do which is like 3-4 times a week.
