My son also did this. It turned out it was from eating/drinking dairy. He was lactose intolerant. The rash cleared up quickly once he was dairy free
I swore by corona too but triple paste is so much better!!
My daughter use to use Flanders Buttocks cream. She had to ask someone in Pharmacy to give it to her. (Don’t know why).
You need to try Resinol cream!! It’s amazing! When all the other creams didn’t work, Resinol worked!!!
cloth diapers washed in mild soap if you are using paper ones.
Triple Paste ( a thick ointment for diaper rashes). Used it on all my children and foster children. Very effective.
Do forget to gently clean the rash and dry it well ,before you apply the ointment for best results.
Desitin always worked great for me
First u put Vaseline on before the A&D cream. Then if u could let the rash breathe by putting briefs instead of pampers on him, that will speed up the recovery process
My daughter had a really bad raw rash for several days and I tried several things and nothing worked. So my husband was looking online and came across aquaphor. He picked some up and just one night of her having it on it made a difference and she was cleared up in acouple days!
Baby aquaphor, the healing ointment, not the paste.
I always used cornstarch
The white of an egg
Like crack an egg & try take the yolk out so it’s just the runny white stuff put it on & it will act like a barrier and protect the skin and also take the redness away and clear the rash then use bapanthon there after for a few weeks
He could have Eczema, that is what one of my son’s had. I was thinking he had a bad diaper rash, tried everything. My doctor suggested a cream Called Mycolog , cleared it right up. He probably has an allergy to something.
Sudo cream is the best
Dust his bottom lightly with corn starch. It will clear it up in no time flat.
Corn starch or browned flour
I always used aveeno oatmeal bath, worked overnight. It could be yeast as well. Try putting monistat cream
I only ever use corn starch on my daughters
Feel terrible for you. I had that problem too. Bathed the baby every day. Cleaned bottom. Fresh diapers and she still had the rash. Used everything. Eventually it cleared up but it was very upsetting for me and I felt bad for my baby.
Our pediatrician recommended this. An mix of Desitin malox and monostadt. Mix into a paste and apply generously. It’s soothing and works amazingly. And also
Let him air out. Might pee or poop on the floor but it woke. Or you can try a cloth diaper for now.
Leaving him diaper free will help. At 2 he should be trying to train himself.
triple paste is awesome
Try triple paste that always clears up my baby’s
I love all the home remedies and they work. I suggest if it’s not looking better after a couple of days it’s a trip to the doctor. Like a couple of people said it could be more than just a diaper and being wet.
Put some Preperation H on it and it will be gone tomorrow
Plus he will get instant relief
corn starch is the best
Its best to clean it with luke warm/warm water. No soaps or anything. If theres poopies you can use a wipe that you have cleaned in water prior to wiping your little one to help you remove it.
Paw paw ointment or straight aloe vera
Clean his bottom with preparation H wipes, use preparation H cream, use a blow dryer on low setting to make sure he’s completely dry before putting anything on his bottom.
Butt paste. Dr Bonners brand. Or zinc oxide cure it fast
Bag Balm…Walmart Amazon…
You can use baking soda and warm water to wash and neutralize the ammonia. Then use a zinc product. Make sure it is not a yeast infection you are dealing with. Leaving the area to air helps if you can leave diaper off
Desitin or corn starch
Call your doctors. My daughter had ones that needed prescription butt paste. It was the only thing that helped
sudcrem works best I swear by it
No wipes. Bathe bottom every time they go te-te. Air dry as much as possible. Only diaper when you absolutely have to and when diaper is on apply bag balm.
The safest way for babies is to always wash every diaper change with lukewarm water, if not tap water is fine especially on hot sunny days, and then apply Zinc Oxide. If you can get Calmoseptine ointment in your local drugstore, it would be awesome. Been tried and tested for my 9 month old baby. Always works perferctly!
When my granddaughter was in diapers we did it all powder at diaper changes she would get diaper rash a lot !
When her brother was born we used nothing just used wipes to clean his bum when diaper was changed that’s it he never had diaper rash. Good luck !
Vaseline clogs pores creating more of a problem! Bathes are drying out his skin! Get some lanolin used for breast feeding mother sore nipples. He may also be allergic to the brand of diaper you are using. When you do bathe him you could try oatmeal bath to sooth his bottom.
Scorched flour-put in a pan on the stove and turn it brown and use it as baby powder after each change.
Lots of diaper free time, and don’t wipe or rub just pat with warm washcloth each diaper change. Really though diaper free time is what will help the most.
my daughter had major diaper rash…allergic to pampers and My mother in law suggersted an old
Try changing the brand of diapers you use
Let it air out that will help as well as desitine
Look at the type of food or milk, because it could be digestion related. If you’re leaving your child with other people they could also be the issue if they aren’t changing and treating his rash as well. If you are feeding your child a full adult diet, time to get him out of diapers and potty train because the feces will be too acidic to his skin. Depending on the severity, you probably should go to a doctor for a prescription. Try rinsing in the tub with running water. let air dry. and even though it’s unpopular now days, cornstarch. Rotate using cornstarch then ointment. I don’t recommend using any oil based ointments as they will not let the skin breath. Use a cream. If your child sits in his diaper for any amount of urine or feces, it will not get better.
I know I’m an old lady….but…my daughter had terrible diaper rash and my neighbour where we then lived in Iowa told me to dry her well and then put lots of cornstarch all over that area and more….rash was always gone in three days.
Corn starch always worked for my littles. Hope your little one feels better soon
Definitely let it air out . No Vaseline it holds in moisture which makes it much worse… Fan wave it it’ll bring a lot of relief to him then apply a small thin layer of desitin. Try to give him as much diaper free time as possible.
This was the best for my son but not to be used regularly only when it’s bad
This can be used sparingly if it’s everyday
Could also be eczema might be worth a trip to dr
Prescription strength
Cornstarch on a dry bum helps too !!!
Take baby to pediatrician. Could be more than a diaper rash (boys can get yeast infections too). You may be prescribed Nystatin. Also use aquaphor instead of Vaseline.
Has he been on an antibiotic? My little ones get a yeast infection every time they take an antibiotic! Looks like diaper rash but it’s not, nystatin will treat it, if so, by prescription only! Also, do not use Vaseline! It holds the heat in. A&D original ointment is great if it is a diaper rash ! It will pull the heat out and protect that skin.
I used Desatin Ointment. It worked very well.
Need to be sure his bottom is dry and use something with Zinc in it.
Domeboro!!! Best stuff EVER!! Will take the fire pain away from the rash. It will work!!
Design maximum strength works good.
Lotrimin mixed with desatin
Corn starch and free time no diaper
Nystatin is the best for that !
My aunt had me brown some flour in a skillet
When it cools apply to rash. It cleared my sons right up
Urine gets stronger as children age. Have him drink several glasses of water and stay away from sugary stuff. Do not use Vaseline or wipes. Keep it as dry as possible. Ask the pharmacist for a good anti fungal powder.
Or but butter. You can find it at the drug store
get a sock and fill it with dried unflavored oatmeal tie it off and put it in the bath to soak in. If you can find colloidal oatmeal bath packets that’s best but the home diy works pretty well. as far as cream or anything, try Calamine lotion, keep it in the fridge for a cooling effect when applied
Nystatin don’t know if I spelled that right but it worked wonders for my son!
desitin and powder on top of that!! works wonderssss
Boudreaux’s Butt Crqck Creme is good for diaper rash. I have bought it from wal mart
Corn starch and baking soda
Bath him in bicarb soda , make sure you pat dry after bath don’t wipe… have a bit or nappy free time after bath Nd during the day
Honest kids diaper cream. Works amazing
Vaseline & corn starch……
Desitin is an absolute miracle worker for diaper rash.
Boudreaux Butt Paste
Yeast likes to grow in dark moist places. Leaving the diaper off after the child urinates (pees) for a while will add light. Using any antifungal cream (Nystatin is only available with a prescription) will help the infection and decrease the irritation from rubbing on the diaper.
Arbonne’s diaper rash cream
Get destin in blue tube ointments will burn
I tried so many different things on my son and this seemed to be the only thing that worked. It cleared him up almost overnight, washed him with Dial soap first. I would never recommend anything else. Good luck
My sons had extremely sensitive skin. They could not wear paper diapers. I put them in cotton diapers and when possible left off the rubber outer pants.
Corn flour and let him air for abit ,it will b gone in no time ,do frequently
My doctor told me to let my son be in sun a few minutes every day to toughen his skin. Be discrete. My neighbor was not happy. But it worked.
Yes dial soap and air
Balmex diaper rash cream, I used this quite a bit when my kids were babies. Good luck.
starch in yellow canister with blue lid cure it in a day
and when its gone feed her some yogurt she may have a yeast infection
Are you sure it isn’t a fungal or yeast infection rash… the only thing that will help is Monistat cream or something similar if it is…
Lots of air so diaper free is good and use udder cream in it! Green can from Walmart
Stop using Vaseline! From my personal experience - it doesn’t work. My son had a really really bad diaper rash a few months ago (he’s 3 but was 2 at the time) and it just seemed like nothing worked no matter what I tried. What I did find to work were witch hazel wipes along with Destin extra strength and lots of air time out of that diaper it should hopefully clear up! If Destin doesn’t work, butt paste is another good one !! Make sure you coat his bottom up when you apply it! Don’t use it sparingly, lather it on pretty thick. Good luck to you!
If your breast feeding use that milk in every way possible!! I would put some in every one of my daughters bath for 2 years and she never had a diaper rash or any issues.
I know this is going to sound silly - but when I was a Nanny I used MaryKay extra emollient night cream (back then it came in a pink jar) it worked great.
No ointment while naked. Let it dry out. And budrouxs butt paste works wonders
Extra strength (purple) desitin creme or ask for a prescription for nystatin
My daughter had a bad rash from getting salmonella and the dr prescribed that and it helped so much
Try not bathing so often. It takes off the natural oils. I also used something called butt cream.
Corn starch!! It’ll help immediately!
Beat up a raw egg and put on
Sometimes changing diaper brands works. My daughter had what we thought was a diaper rash for a long time. Nothing seemed to work. Not even something the dr prescribed. Then I read that it could be a chemical burn from the diaper brand. So we switched brands, and it finally went away.
no soap qv cream body7 wash
What helps me is when they poop I wash their bum instead of using wipes and pat dry with a soft towel
