How to get rid of canker sores?

Alone. Put gel on sore. Drink a fourth cup of the juice daily.

Salt water rince 3-5 times a day. Canker sores are an autoimmune issue. Nothing can be done to stop them. Stress related, or too much acidic foods.

I get them but I suffer from horrible anxiety and when my attacks happen I bite on my inner cheek or lip and then it’s causes the painful canker sores.

Please make sure she isnt biting herself due to undiagnosed seizures…

I used to get them all the time when I was young. No reason. You just have to avoid acidic foods and drinks while she has them, swishing salt water in my mouth helped

I’ve had them my whole life (61 years now). I’ve learned that sugar and certain acids can set them off but usually after an injury (like biting a lip). Orange or tomato juice, ketchup, tomatoes, grapefruit juice, etc… all will cause them and irritate significantly once they appear. L-Lysine at the first idea of one developing can curve them into being less of a bother and can even deter their development.

I’ve gotten canker sores my whole life. My 12 year old daughter gets these too. Stress makes them happen, along with eating acidic foods such as tomato based things (spaghetti, lasagna etc). Also I can’t drink orange juice as it gives me one too.
They are miserable.

My mom always got them due to acidity in her mouth I think it was.

Rinse with warm Salt water at least 3 times a day

We’ve always put peroxide on them a couple times and they go away in a day or so

I get them too when my cheeks rub my teeth out I grind my teeth and it rubs in one spot too much.

Make a salt water rinse and swish in mouth for a few seconds. Do this 3-5 times a day. I have gotten them since I was young. This truly works! Good Luck

I used to open up acidophilus capsules and pour it on them. Try having her take daily probiotics and lysine.

Simple: believe it or not have her suck on a tums … the Magnesium will stop the pain and heal…

Warm salt water with a tsp. Of peroxide. Instant relief. My kids get them and its usually after they ate chips like vultures. Or something acidic. Sometimes I’ve notice they brushed too hard and scratched their gum.

Just got this for my son. He gets them too.Best wishes.

I’ve had them off and on my whole life. I did some research online and it said to use aloe vera on them. It’s the only thing that has helped. I just put a dab of aloe Vera on the sore a few times a day and it eventually goes away. Good luck.

There’s a mouthwash that will help. It’s prescription though

I’ve gotten them as long as I can remember and hydrogen peroxide on a qtip directly on the sore and warm salt water swishes help but you still have to wait for them to heal which can feel like forever

I got them regularly as a kid and nothing helped other that salt water rinses.
Slowly growing out of it late teens early 20’s. My first child inherited the issue. He’s now 24 and still gets them.
I tend to only get them now if I happen to bite myself.
They are awful. I do hope it gets better for your daughter sooner than later. Best wishes.

I put peroxide on mine a few times a day. It dries them up. Hope this works cause they are miserable and so painful.

Citrus caused mine. I had to cut it out now and haven’t had one since.

Stop giving the flintstones vitamins, switch to another brand, those could be the cause, my kids had problems with that vitamin

Orajel has sorta helped me (hurts so bad when first put on) and salt water rinses. I get them when my Crohns flares up.

I’ve had them all my life, I’m 39. I have gone to many docs and specialists. They said there is nothing that helps them heal. Hot salt water and other things may seem like they help but they don’t. I don’t have a weak immune system I had perfect attendance 11 out of 13 years of school. I missed one week in 4th grade. Doctors thought it was vitamin deficiency so they would give my vitamins by shots and pills. Nothing worked. Just make sure you numb them when he eats it will help tremendously
Good luck

I used to get them all the time…from eating potatoe chips…took me years to figure it out.
I would eat frozen yogurt…very soothing for pain.

She is lacking iron vitamin…i use to … now its gone forever

Warm salt water rinse daily until gone

Magic mouthwash, but you can only get it with prescription!

Fluoride mouthwash everyday. Like the red plax brand really works

Salt water rinse. Also the sour candy she eats will cause it as well.

my son got them same way salt water and see her pediatrician and a dentist they will give you something for it

This stuff is amazing

Two of my kids get them. We eliminated a lot of chemicals from their diets, one at a time, and it turned out that avoiding red dye#40 helped a ton. Children’s vitamins AND candies often contain it, as well as soft drinks and Kool aid.

I found certain colourings and flavourings caused them, especially peach. They can also be caused by stress. Avoid candy flavoured with pear or super sours too. Avoid having too much citric acid in things.

Get her a zinc supplement

I got them as a kids. Eventually, in my teens someone told me it was a mild stomach virus. Try pepto. But try to figure out if she has a mild stomach virus. As an adult, I realize, that every time my stomach is a little upset or I have too much of a bad thing I get them

My older daughter gets all the time she couldn’t eat alot of acidic foods she got younger and still gets she had watch foods and had get prescription medications from a dermatologist she almost 26 now and still has issues and she is miserable when gets as adult

My friend in the dental business said to get toothpaste without sodium laurel sulfate and it totally works! Might have to go to a natural foods store to find any. Also, sipping green tea throughout the day helped me too.

My daughter used to get them all the time at a certain time of the week. Then I began to watch what she ate that caused this & we found out it was potato chips. After each time she had chips or salted nuts it would happen. Just keep an eye on what she eats, it might help

When I get canker sores, I use liquid antacid, I swish it around inside my mouth, it helps with the pain and helps heal

Rinse with warm salt water s few times a day, buy toothpaste with no sls…as soon as a canker sore starts rinse again three times a day with warm salt water till its gone…my son has had this issue all his life hes twelve this works…

Just got this for me and my daughter…this has helped more than anything we have tried yet. We have the tooth paste without sls due to being allergic. She is on an antacid due to a tummy problem so we know they are not the cause of her sores. This is the best relief yet…out of probably 50 products for us.

I’ve gotten them since I was little, and my pediatrician chalked it up to a hormonal thing since they always seem to come around my periods. They have special mouth wash you can use to help with mouth wounds that with healing them, as well as pain relief pens to spot treat.

I get them when I accidentally bite my lip. It always turns into a canker sore. I started taking LLysine last year to boost my immune system and it knocks out canker sores in a few days. Pleasant surprise.

Hi. I hope you see this. My boys have suffered with these foe years!@ they are now 19 and 16 and still not much relief. Until we changed the water they were drinking they have both started drinking a bottles water with a much higher Ph level them tap water. Evian water seems to be the one that keeps these stinking cankers away!! It’s a bit pricey but omg completely worth every single penny!! We have tried everything in the last 19 years for these awful sores. The adjustment of the Ph seems to have don’t the trick :crossed_fingers::pray::crossed_fingers: we also take a zinc and magnesium supplement. With vitamin C. Also vitamin D is a big contributor to healing so maybe try some extra. Definitely double check with doctor or nutritionist for proper doses. I wish you much luck in this canker sore journey. It’s definitely bumpy

Baking soda instead of salt water

I had a doctor many years ago wrote a prescription to the health department for me to take the small pots shots until it no longer took talk to your doctor about it.It worked

I used to get them i figured it out it was from citrus things
I don’t drink orange juice, lemons, limes
I’m just careful now

Get her different vitamins try Smarty Pants Childrens vitamins they make womens also Whole foods sell them But Costco sells them Way cheaper, one of The Best Vitamins out there Costco sells so much of this especially when it goes on sale !!! Ive never kniwn anyone to use flinstone vitamins even when i was young . I remember a friend of mine used to get sores in her mouth and the Doctor told her stay away from anything citrus also a friend of mine got theses white cold sores in his mouth was a reaction from something he went to the dentist they gave him antibiotics and steroids and prescription mouthwash never went away they sent him to an oral surgeon who wanted $250 after insurance he said no way well I gave him coconut oil to rinse mouth with, swish your mouth with it real good then spit it out and I gave him raw and unfiltered local grown honey and he had a spoonful couple times a day and it finally went away after months of suffering, going to a dentist didnt even help honey kills bacteria and so does coconut oil doctors have used Manuka Honey from NewZeland to kill flesh eating bacteria on people they put the manuka honey right in the open wound to kill the bacteria …most coconut comes in solid form jus put in microwave like 15 seconds gotta be pure coconut oil…

Vitamin B12. Was the only thing that stopped them for me. Canker covers worked amazing before that.

Could be a reaction to something she eats regularly? Or to the toothpaste shes useing

I get these when I eat tomatoes. I cut them out of my diet now x

Warm salt water works wonders, also If you rinse or gargle mouthwash, It seems to keep them from being really sensitive, and it seems like it makes them go away fast if you do both. Hope this helps.

I used to get them too…for me these things worked…dab some salt or powdered alum on them and hold as long as you can…they sting but help dry up the sore…then i found that using a soft toothbrush and toothpaste and brushing the sore then rinsing with mouthwash helped them heal faster…i have not had any for years now but when i do i am either eating a lot of acidic fruits or very stressed about something in my life

L-lysine supplements help prevent them, and can be taken in higher doses to help them go away faster.
