Buy a Nitty Gritty comb and some Vaseline. Smother head in Vaseline and comb through in sections. Comb top to bottom. Ideally do this outside wearing an apron otherwise you’ll infect your whole house. Lice can live for a couple of days without a home and I’ve ended up with lice bites on my stomach! Wash bedding and towels. Leave Vaseline on for three days or put on fresh each day. Comb everyday with the Nitty Gritty for five days. To wash out the Vaseline, put neat shampoo on the hair before washing as normal.
Put that tree oil in your kids shampoo, also use from now on to repel. Lice hate that stuff.
Take equal parts vinegar and rubbing alcohol saturate the hair completely tie a grocery store bag on hair leave on 45 mins then wash condition and use a lice comb to remove any dead eggs repeat in 8 days when I took care of my friends kids they were ate up with lice I tried every lice shampoo out there and an older lady told me about the vinegar and alcohol and I was so thankful that she did. Also remember to wash everything and leave in dryer at least 30 minutes spray lice spray on bedding and carpets
mayonnaise (i know it sounds strange lol) but mayonnaise packed on the head will suffocate the lice and after that sits on the head for 30 mins maybe an hour use the lice shampoo
Find a place that will do it!
Long time hair stylist here: get the fairytales line of lice treatment. It’s a foam. Might need a a few bottles. Follow the directions to a T and treat everyone (even if you don’t see any). Bag up all fabric belongs tightly for at least 36 hours. Set them in the sun. Wash things in the washer on HOT and a HOT dry too. Get some spray to treat everything else (dollar general has one and so does Raid).
Use a nit comb
Get head lice treatment for sure
Also put all stuffys in dryer and bags after
Teatrea oil helps prevent them
Use lice treatment tho, I had 2 kids with lice last year nothing work but nit treatments
And you have to do more then 1 treatment

I get paid over $ 130 per hour w0rking from home. I never thought l’d be able to do it but my colleague makes over $ 20687 a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The possibility with this is limitless.

As someone who dealt with this a lot growing up and now has 3 daughters, 2 in school and we’ve already dealt with it a few times. Go to a pharmacy, get the lice shampoo, buy a METAL comb, the plastic ones suck. Redo that step in a few days. Wash all bedding, put stuffed animals in garbage bags for Atleast 2 days. Clean but don’t go crazy. If your child has thin hair you can always go strand by strand. One of my children I go strand by strand, the other there is no way lol.
For the future, buy some tea tree oil and put a couple of drops into your shampoo bottle. Keeps lice away.
blow drying their hair after every bath, stops and keeps them away, I went to school with kids that had it, and I had Lonnnnnnng hair, and not one time did I get them. A good ole hot hair dryer drying hair will cook and kill bugs and eggs, plus makes your hair so soft.
Call the Dr went thur this in Feb. Tried over the counter didn’t work. Called Dr they called something in worked haven’t had any since.
I tried mayonnaise. I tried alcohol.
I tried tea tree oil. Worked temporary n they next day I was itchy again…
But I got desperate… tried this stuff called blazing apple cider vinegar. I replace the cap with a spray trigger. I know it stinks… But within an hour. Everything that was itching just stopped. Then I wash with Tea tree shampoo n combed for hours with a nix comb. I was finally able to have peace! Cuz I have a lot of hair…
Wash all clothes on hottest temperature n ran everything through the dryer.
Also keep on hand Medicated dog shampoo and use it once a week it will keep them from getting them again
I paid 50.00 at ulta for a liter of tea tree oil shampoo and conditioner n it didn’t work for me…
Go to Dr get lindane lice shampoo use a dot and gone first wash.
Over counter really don’t work that great
Call pediatrician and get prescription. Then you need to be diligent with the bit comb. I would go through their hair twice daily. If I saw an nit I would pull out the hair and baggie it. Very time consuming but it works. I would also pull out any live lice.
Remember that all the surface areas need to be treated too. All bedding needs to be washed in hot and dried on high if possible. All stuffed animals should also be put through the dryer on high as well. Make sure you dont just treat the hair…you have to treat the house
The most important thing is going to be hours of thorough combing with a metal lice comb every evening after shower for at least a week. As well as washing all bedding and bagging up stuffed animals. Vacuuming carpets. Spraying furniture etc.
Go to the local pharmacy and ask they will tell u
Nix and comb throughs twice a day, comb through a with a metal lice comb and lots of conditioner in the shower, bag and spray anything fabric, there’s this spray my mom used to get and she’d spray everything, the mattresses, carpets, pillows, furniture every day a few times a day. And keep their hair up
My kids pick up an Asian type that were red and the only thing that worked was olive oil…
. Never had them so. I don’t know.
Go to pharmacy and get lice shampoo Ask pharmacist. I went through that too back in the day, Wash all bed linen stuffanimalsclean evewrywhere make sure you take your time coming with the littlrcomb getting all the nits out.Do not be surprised if after you do all that if it does not come home again, Some parents do not do all the child’s room cleaning and neither does the school.
You can stand in line at thestoreand they can jump on you do not stand close to anyone
Tea tree oil is a great way to help preventing head lice once you have the lice gone. You can put it in shampoos, wash the bedding with it clean brushes/hair products with it and it’s all natural. If you don’t like chemicals or can’t afford the hair treatments my mom would lather my hair in Mayo and the put a shower cap or tie a grocery bag to my hair to suffocate the lice and then combing through the hair with the lice combs. I would get lice every month at my elementary school… my mom started cutting my hair shorter or having my have my hair up constantly because we were spending over 1,000 dollars a month in lice treatments. And you have to make sure you clean all the bedding, couches, anything that people sit on that has cloth on it, brushes and everything or it will just come right back.
Also talk with your child about not hugging other kids. or using hair tools of others, or trying on others hats and clothing. This is normally how they are spread since they don’t jump or fly and if your child uses headphones at school provide her with her own and tell her not to loan them to others.
Olive oil with a plastic store bag tied tightly around the head for a few hours. The bugs and eggs come out easy. No chemicals. Lots of washing to get the oil out. I’ve done this with my daughter’s 3 foot long hair and it’s effective!
I’ve only dealt with it once. I plopped her on a stool, put the iPad in front of her , and combed and picked bugs for HOURS. Then washed her hair with the lice shampoo, then combed through it all again. I spent the entire day picking through her hair. Washed all blankets sheets pillows stuffys etc. And they were completely gone after that day.
My daughter had head-lice pretty bad, we tried tons of different brands and the one that finally worked was ladibugs brand. It’s pricey but worked! They also have a spray to use to prevent them.
Most important is cleaning all the bedding and clothes and such and going through the hair very carefully to remove all the nits
The best thing is to remove all the eggs. Go through a few hairs at a time.It takes forever but it works. The combs seem to still leave eggs so I always would go through the hair by hand and bobby pin the clean hair.
Try nyda lice treatment.
