If sheā€™s going to school then thatā€™s more the likely how sheā€™s getting it especially if youā€™ve done all the treatments Iā€™ve been using mayonnaise not miracle whip but actual mayo in my hair and that works on the nits itā€™s supposed to suffocate the nits and that should help also

Try white vinegar and comb with lice comb falls rite out keep this up 1 every week

Her pediatrician can prescribe a higher strength lice treatment. I did it for my daughter when 2 rounds of nix failed. Then I started using 1 tsp tea tree oil mixed with water in a water spray bottle every day while I did her hair

Listerine!! Or vaseline!

Listernine her hair leave it in put bag over hair for like 45 min and then rinse while combing

Mayonnaise all over, sleep with it overnight with a shower cap on, in the morning you wash and use the comb and you should be good. Worked for me!

Maynaise will do the trick put maynaise and put a bag over it it works great

I heard that dying your hair helps

They actually have a place now (not sure on locations) that uses a heat vacuum to get rid of it. Lice canā€™t live off the scalp for over 24 hours, so maybe leave the house dfor 24 hours so they can all die and use the nix again and from now on, once or twice a week, put a couple of tea tree oil drops in her hair as you wash it. Lice HATE tea tree oil.

Mayonnaise. It will smother the lice and helps get out the nits. Plus her hair will be super soft after! Leave it in over night!

After that make sure u comb daily for nits just to be sure. But thats what worked for when my daughter had it

For adults listerine or hair dye works best

Flat iron hair a few times until infestation is over kills all of the nits and keep up treatments. When my kid got it shampoos did literally nothing. I flat ironed and combed morning and night until gone which was a couple days. Takes longer to get all of the dead nits out by hand but theyā€™re dead and no longer hatching at that point.

My daughter kept getting it I used this one time then use the lice shampoo for awhile havent had it sence

Still use it once a week

Once you have chosen and done a treatment then shampoo daily with a shampoo that has tea tree oil and it wonā€™t be a problem.

Vinegar soak! Donā€™t forget to condition while you comb

Tell her pediatrician. There is an oral medication they can prescribe called Ivermectin if you absolutely cannot get rid of them.

Natroba also only takes one time unless its a major infestation . It kills it in all stages eggs nits an bugs an it doesnt absorb into the skin like alot of other strong products out there it doesnt dry an damage hair either as its more of a lotion than a shampoo

the doctor can give you a prescription for it

Donā€™t forget to take all stuffed animals and pillows and close in a bag or high heat. Plus you have to spray all the furniture and your car

Germxā€¦put on hair and put a bag over her hair make sure thereā€™s no air getting in and leave on for 6-8hoursā€¦

Call the pediatrician they have a prescription gel that gets rid of them and eggs no combing the nits needed

You just may have to shave her head or cut it really short.

Kerosene - literally not even joking. My aunt lined us up outside and poured kerosene on our heads while we laid down and covered our eyes really good with a towel. She squeezed our hair until it was not dripping anymore and put it in shower caps a little while later we washed it out using rid shampoo then regular shampoo then bam lice was gone. Like 7 of us had it lol it was like an assembly line.

Olive oil, coat the hair let it set for about 30min

Treat everyoneā€™s hair

Vacuum Empty it outsiders

Put coconut oil on her head for three hours straight and do it every 7 days for a month straight along with the laundry as well. While you do her hair do everyone elseā€™s in the household at the same time while covering it tightly for the full three hours with a shower cap or plastic wrap. She must be continuing to be exposed to another friend/fill member or child who has it also

Lavender help and i used vinegar to kill them 3 night in a row washing hair with vinegar then put lavender cream around ears and neck

Soak her hair in vinegar let it completely dry and the nits will fall out

Lavender keeps them away

It know itā€™s really
Weird but my dad used mayo when I was growing up in school. You cover the head in mayo and let it shit for a little and then comb it out. They canā€™t hold on to the hair with the mayo texture. Vinegar also works but leaves a strong smell.

You might just have to cut her hair real short or shave it. Unfortunately that might be all you can do. With thick curly hair you might not be able to get them all out and you donā€™t want her to be itchy and suffer :sob:

Try the doctors office if you have tried everything tell them they will prescribe you something stronger that you canā€™t buy over the counter (splice This worked 1 time on my daughter). Make sure to tell them you have tried everything. I usually bag all of her stuffies in a big trash bag spray something lice furniture spray in the bag tie it off for a couple weeks. I also spray it on all of the fabric furniture including my bed and the car.

The doctor to give you a prescription for stuff that works really good. Or they have something at walmart that zaps them.

Mayo & a swim cap for 24 hours - it smothers them and the nits as they hatch

Depending on how old she is of courseā€¦ Dye her hairā€¦ When I was about 9 I had lice that my parents couldnā€™t get rid of. My mom picked a color very close to my own color and that did the trick.

Get the prescription it will work, do all bedding , towels, clothing ect, daily or they will keep hatching. Also, in the mean time put mayonnaise and wrap a tight bag around to keep it air tight. Leave it as long as possible and wash with dawn dish soap to get the mayo oil out. Boil brushes and combs daily and replace after medication. It is such a hassle I knowšŸ˜©

Out raw coconut oil in her hair. Literally drench it. Like use almost a whole jar. Out a shower cap on. Sleep in it. Wake up and rinse it out comb it out and do it again.

My daughter was the same except straight. Get the prescription. Works great.

Mayo in her hair overnight make sure you saturate it really good and no harsh chemicals

Olive oil over night. Coca Cola tea tree oil.

Lice Clinics of America

It only takes 1 little nit believe me I was a hairdresser for 53yrs u can easily miss one

When I was a kid, ma put crealin on mine. I was 12 ā€¦ never had it since!

For my girls i used vamoose, itā€™s a foam and it works really well, and once every thing is clean, i comb through their hair every single day, then retreat in a week, and we use tee tree oil, lice hatr tee tree. But make sure to comb it everyday

We used natural shampoo and conditioner and added tea tree oil to it. First wash with shampoo, then comb the conditioner/tea tree oil throughout the hair, cover with a shower cap for at least one hour. With a fine comb or nit comb do hair in sections then have child shower, rinsing the conditioner, washing and conditioning one more time. Worked like a charm for my girls. Make sure you wash and sanitize bedding, mattress, and any stuffed animals

I had love for 5 years when I was a kid due to really thick hair. Dont wash it for about 2 weeks. Then wash with tea tree oil shampoo every night and run the comb through every bath or shower with the tea tree in, leave it in for a good 15 minutes every night they will finally go away. Keep using the tea tree after even when they are gone it repels them

Apple cider vinegar and oil. Comb through hair and and then coat with mayo after leave mayo over night should kill everything then do it again every couple days until gone

They have lice treatment places and even some that will come to you, look online and see if ones close by

Bugs of all descriptions hate rosemaryā€¦put rosemary in the coconut oil (raw) put rosemary in washer & dryer & crush & sprinkle through out the houseā€¦it might become overpowering to yā€™alls senses but well worth itšŸ–’

White vinegar. It eats away at what holds the nits, and repels the bugs. Iā€™ve known at least five other people that have done this, as well as myself. Keep it in the hair for 20 min to and hour (I say hour but my friends all say 20), wash out and comb. They may smell funny for a couple days, but it works.

Baby oil sounds strange but works. Coat hair but in plastic bag and let sit and then brush out while in bathtub and wash hair

I put mayo on my step daughter when she had head lice. She has thick curly hair. I thoroughly coated her hair 7 days in a row every night and left it on with a shower cap while she slept and combed her hair with a metal lice comb. If you canā€™t comb through it add conditioner. You have to comb it daily to remove all nits. It helps to do it in direct sunlight bc the nits are shiny. Plus no nits will be falling onto the furniture.

There are salons that specialize in lice treatment. They are pricey but usually do however many treatments you need to get rid of it. Google to see if there is one near you.

My mom held a hair dryer to my scalp for like 30 minutes and dug thru it with a tiny comb for 4 hours :joy: Yall are nice moms lol!

Tea Green oil! Kills it all. I even put a splash into the laundry. Good luck!

Mayo is what we used as a kid and havenā€™t had it since. This is one good thing that I am glad to have boysā€¦ I can just shave their head if this ever happens

Did you make sure you treated everyone in the family?

Oil of any kind in all of her hair every night for 10 to 14 days from after school til bed or over night is fine!

Block braids and lots of hair grease

Also rosemary shampoo helps to keep lice away if used daily.

Iā€™ve heard that blow drying can get rid of 80 percent. So if you add that to the other things you are trying, it should help.

Our pediatrician says there is now a ā€œsuper liceā€ and requires a prescription. Thatā€™s what we had to do.

Call her pcp and they can call in a oral Rx

My girls have thick curly ethnic hairā€¦the only thing I could do was use my fingers to pick the nits and dead lice out one by one. It took an entire weekend from morning til nightā€¦until I was done I kept olive oil on their hair so if any hatched theyā€™d die and not spread. Combs just donā€™t work.

They also have fairy tail shampoo to use after you get rid of them

When i was little I had the sane hair it was as THICK as it was curly. I got lice from our chickens and it was difficult to kill them all but my mom used tea tree oil. You could try these natural ways that have other oils to help rid of them

https://www.hairfairies.com/natural-lice-treatment-products/

Go to a lice clinic ā€¦ Thats what I had to do to get ride of lice when I got it

I have super thick curly hair naturally and we battled lice for YEARS when I was little finally got rid of it with an overnight mixture of olive oil and tea tree oil, do this over night every night for a week. Buy tea tree shampoo and conditioner also dab a small diluted amount of tea tree oil around scalp before school EVERY DAY (itll help repel any new lice from trying to latch onto her hair again). And comb. I can not stress this enough. I know its miserable trust me it use to take my mom an entire 10 hours to comb out my hair but you have to make sure you get it all and 3 days after combing her hair comb it again.

My girls just got that not that long ago and omg it was so hard to get rid of after u do all that u have to sit there and literally pick every nit out of her hair itā€™s gonna take you forever but thatā€™s how u gotta do it I also took my girls to their pediatrician cause I was just so overwhelmed cause I did everything I even dyed there hair with the ammonia stuff in it and that didnā€™t work either anyway the pediatrician prescribed them some medicine to take twice a day for three days then stop taking it for three days and then give it to them again twice a day for three days and it actually helped the medicine is called sulfatrim pediatric sus so maybe try that I know it definitely helped my babies we also had to bag up all there stuffed animals and we sprayed everything and when I say everything I mean everything pillows beds couch chair inside the vehicles and we also put all there pillows outside in the sun for a couple of days to be extra sure lol good luck hope it gets better I know itā€™s so overwhelming

Fairy tales treatment on Amazon is the ONLY that helped us

Same thing happened to our granddaughters
Had to go to professional salon. Worked well.

Listerine, the original kind. Drench her hair and leave it on until it dries. Then put coconut oil on it again and then use the comb. My daughter kept getting it and when I finally used this it got rid of them. Once gone, get tea tree oil and dab it in her hair line everyday

The best stuff I have found is the spray Lice Away from Wal-Mart (it dehydrates the bugs and nits and its all natural and contains no pesticides) and all stuffed animals put it garbage bags and sealed shut for at least a week everything that can be put in the dryer put it on the highest heat you can and every other surface in the house put rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and saturate everything till wet and let air dry. Repeat the same process every week till its taken care of.

Make sure all bedding is sprayed/washed with hot waterā€¦if you have a steamer use it on all furniture, beds, and check anyone she is in contact with.

Call pediatrician. They can send in prescription stuff that works miracles. Wish i had done that first before i dumped $100 into stuff that didnā€™t do anything.

Dye her hair , it sucks but it works

Your doing everything right minimalize everything u til completly gone lil girls have excessive amounts of stuff.bag up all her stuffies and all but a few outfits keep in bags for 2 weeks.dont just use cocunut oil for combing satuate her hair all night and cover with a shower cap.also spray your car.

Vamoose from Walmart itā€™s a foam that goes in the hair it works wonders and when you get rid of them there is a shampoo you use anytime you wash your hair

They make a spray for bedding and mattresses and stuffed animals and couches. Also vacuum the bed and couch and bag up all stuffed animals for 3 days with no air in the bags to suffocate them. Buy new brushes and combs. Also there is a brand called vamousse. Its a mouse that you let sit then comb through. And there is a shampoo to use daily for 2 weeks. Works better than nix and rid in my opinion.

Try tea tree and peppermint oils in her shampoo

My daughter had tightly curled hair too and lice - after Nix didnā€™t work, I used olive oil and vinegar each night, covered with a shower cap. Shampoo each morning, and of course, all toys were either bagged and frozen, or washed in hot water. She smelled like a salad, but it worked.

Try Tea tree shampoo!

Mine was the same when I was 12ā€¦my dad poured kerosene on my headā€¦ Burned like hell for those 10 minutesā€¦ Iā€™ve never had it since and my hair has always been healthier no frizz or anythingā€¦ Iā€™m not telling you to pour kerosene on your childā€™s head Iā€™m just telling you how my dad got rid of mineā€¦ Best of luckā€¦

Cover her head with mayo and a shower cap and let it stay overnight.

I had put vegetable oil in my kids hair and wrapped it up for a few hours. Then combed it out. It literally took me 4 hours to do her hair simce its so thick & curly but I refuse to take the easy way out & shave my girls hair. Have to be patient & do it a few times to make sure u got it all but it was worth it.

We ordered something called Delacet, itā€™s made for dreads. Works brilliantly

You can use rubbing alcoholā€¦ Idk how old your daughter is but if you hold her head back and drench her hair in it then cover for 30mins with shower cap or plastic bagā€¦ Its a harsh way to do it but it works right away and you will see the lice literally rinse out of her hairā€¦ Repeat in 7 to 10 days and they will be completely gone

Suffocating them is your only hope. Overnight oil bath for a couple night. Sheā€™s gonna be a greasy gal. Tea tree n lemon n rosemary smell better then just tea tree. Wrap in plastic blow dry the plastic. Heat.helps kill. Then comb out. Oil again wrap dry sleep. Rinse in morning comb again oil and braid. Repeat all week.

Half acetone half coconut conditioner soak hair and leave on for 2 hours minimum my kids sleep with it in overnight. Rinse and wash comb out repeat every 8 days

Iā€™ve heard mayonnaise works wonders. Also blowdrying her hair makes her head inhospitable for the lice
