How to get rid of lice?

Mayo!!! An make sure you are blow drying it daily for at least a WK! Works wonders!

I know it sound weird but try mayonnaise

Donā€™t forget to do stuffed animals in dryer too!

Mayonnaise on over night. Cover her hairs in mayonnaise put a towel around it and have her sleep on it. I have really curly hair thatā€™s what we had to do to mine when I would get it

Someone check the carpets at school

Ketchup and mayo i believe is what was used on friends child. Leave in as long as possible. Wash out and conditioners with combed hair.

Put Vaseline in her hair overnight with a shower cap to cover her head. Wash with tea tree shampoo and then try the lice comb to get everything out. Best of luck!

Shave it, itā€™ll grow back.

I would cake her hair in a good leave in conditioner so I could get a lice comb through her hair and pick it all out then do the treatment, I garbage bag EVERYTHING thatā€™s material except one outfit, one pj, one towel and one facecloth and put all the bags in the back yard. Everyday vacume everything including beds wash the cloths and bedding everyday and pick again repeat for one week then slowly bring one garbage bag one at a time and trow in wash and dryer right away. Put tea tree oil in all shampoos conditioners and in spray bottle for when you do her hair. Itā€™s a lot of work but it worked for me

Wash hair with hair treatment., wash laundry leave clothes in dryer and bug bomb house. Lice eggs are sticky and climb to everything.
Keep up on hair treatments for 3 weeks.

I had the same problem for my own sons until my grandmother told me to use kerosene, now I thought she was nuts, but needlessto say it worked! What you do is take a towel place over childā€™s eyes, then pour a little bit of kerosene on a wet head and massage it all through the hair and scalp throughly, leave on for 2 minutes with childā€™s head wrapped in a towel (like a turbine), then shampoo the hair, rinse with warm water, then rinse again. towel dry the head. DO NOT USE A HAIR DRYER! , then take towels and put in washer, spray all child has been contacted with , with a non-toxic bug spray or wash everything with a disinfected cleaner like pine-o-pine or Mr.Clean. My sons never got headlice again even though they were around children that did. Sometimes old folks remedies do work I know that this one did!

Use original Listerine mouth wash, pour on her hair, put a shower cap over her head for two hours, rinse and put white vinegar over her hair, use another shower cap for one hour, wash hair thoroughly, you will see them falling out, this sounds terrible but my granddaughter had thems few years ago and this is how I got rid of them

do the mattress or you will never be rid of them.

Pure tea tree oilā€¦ we spent hundreds on every type of product and in the end we used pure tea tree oil.
Slather it through her hair and scalp, tie up and cover with a shower cap or similar. Leave it in overnight then wash out with a suitable, natural tea tree hair shampoo and conditioner.
Comb through afterwards
It really should be one hundred percent effective as our daughter had very long, thick hair and she never caught nits again

When we were kids and caught it my mother used the stored bought stuff but its important u clean the hole house she even threw out all mh sibling stuffed animals she bombed and everything took everything to laundry mat would was in our home probaly bc it was alot of big comforters but regardless she even shampoo her hair to be sure once my oldest sister who was 17 at time instanted she didnā€™t need to be home to do it bc she didnt have anything well we all got it once more from her coming back home but my mom did same thing nvr had a problem I felt so badā€¦dont shave her head just make sure u treat every inch of home everythng

Tea tree oil!!! Put a few drops in the shampoo and conditioner and shake it!!! The chemicals in Nix and rid are so harsh on their hair but keep at it. My daughter kept getting lice from her daycare and I was losing my mind trying to get rid of it. I finally found that the best way to get rid of them was after the nix or rid treatmentā€™s I would shampoo her hair and use the lice comb while the conditioner was in her hair. It was much easier to separate and get the lice out

Iā€™ve done real mayonnaise and a shopping bag leave it on for an hour then rinse it outā€¦ donā€™t wash yetā€¦ then comb through with the lice combā€¦ if itā€™s hard to get through use a little coconut oil to help with the snagsā€¦ Iā€™ve also done kerosene but that was just an old school trick both smell horrible but they do the jobā€¦

Go with the natural products if they work. The harsh chemicals in so.e if the bought products could be absorbed and not good for the children. May lead to some neurological issues if done wrong or left on too long. Do follow all the advice for cleaning everything! Everyone in household and possibly best friend contact should do same shampoo treatment, linens, car etc. We had hard time getting dead nits out of hair, even with the combs, but weā€™re assured they were dead. Good luck! A pain to have to do it all once, but if arenā€™t thorough would be bad to have to do everything again.

Green listerine! Spray all over in her hair until its wet and comb it through, tie it up in bun, shower cap it for an hour and rinse

Your doctor can give you a prescription shampoo to get rid of them. It worked on my daughter over 35 years agoā€¦she had extreamly thick and curly hair.

My mom used to soak my hair in conditioner for an hour and wrap a plastic bag on my head so i would t get it anywhere, I used to have really tight curls and it would get so knotty

Tea tree oil and use it daily to prevent! Also lots of conditioner lather up nice and thick and use a shower cap like Jennifer says! This really does work!

My mom use to use karosine and my sister did as well. I would not however but it is very effective.
