Triple paste. White tube with blue lettering. Do NOT use wipes they burn rinse bottom with water every time change and as Melissa Crawford Roybal says air out to dry even before applying triple paste. If you can get dr to prescribe it burn cream used on burns in hospitals heals it fast. Hope helps.
I coated my grandkids rumps with Butt Paste before putting on their diapers. Walmart sells it. It isn’t going to cure the rash after is happens but a thick coating helps keep the rash from forming. My granddaughters had a standing RX for their frequent rashes. My kids’ pediatrician had a prescription compounded for them (my kids). You might ask your child’s doctor what he or she recommends and ask if he will give you enough of the RX for the next couple of rashes.
Cornstarch is all that worked for us. No cream would help when it got like that.
Bepathen and then smothered it with Vaseline!
A&D worked for my kids
Are you sure it’s not a yeast infection? They often look like really bad diaper rashes and won’t go away without medicated ointment.
Leave the nappy of,as much as you can, during the day…fresh air is good for the bum…sudocream at night…no baby wipes…just pure clean boiled water…is the baby teething, as that’s how I knew my kids were…sore bums…
Corn starch. My granddaughter is the same way , hers is from citrus fruits so we cut her off them. It has helped.
Balmex has always worked for my baby. Keep caking it (unless baby poops)
I personally use Vaseline it helps way better than diaper cream in my opinion diaper cream makes the rash worse
That happen to one of my kids figured out it was her diapers she was allergic to huggies
Give that baby some peptobismal about a good tsp. Once you calm the acid in her tummy she won’t have a bum rash. Wash her good and let her skin air dry. Then lots of ointment.
Zinc and castor oil will get rid of it and keep using it to prevent it
Egg white mix it make it frothy,I used qtips or cotton swab or pad and put it on the rash I always tried to let it dry,by the next morning it was almost gone .
My son had a bad diaper rash mixed with a heat rash. I let him just air out with some corn starch had a towel under him. Was better in 24 hourd
Mama I understand. My kids broke out like crazy. I started using a clean cloth with called chamomile tea on it and it changed the game.
The best thing is bag balm in green and red can. My neice and daughter are 30.dr told my sister in law to get it for the baby. Same symptoms. Sil freaked out. We called pharmacist and they said it’s absolutely best. I’ve used it for 30 year on my kids and daycare kids.
Clears up very quickly! Google it. I get cold sores from stress, sun, wind and use it at first tingling and they clear up.
I used vaseline and corn starch. Mix the cornstarch with the Vaseline and apply
I hear Triple Paste works fast!
Watch her fruit in take. I’d say no fruits until it’s healed. Fruits are acidic.
Also purple desitin. And a shit ton of it at a time because the diaper soaks up a lot.
My son was like this we had to switch diapers he can’t have any diapers with the blue absorbency in it so we have to have plain diapers… also we found out he was lactose intolerant and that was also causing the acidic burning poop his was so bad that it’s like you were saying burns on butt looked like someone just melted his skin right there… was terrifying and hard till we kept going back to doc and got answers other than try this cream….
When you wipe her put baby oil on a wipe first or rinse her over a sink. Try not to rub. Lather her in Vaseline or A&D ointment after EVERY CHANGE! Thick coats! BRAT diet until stools solidify. If you have breast milk, this soothes diaper rash instantly. Take a deep breath mama, this too shall pass!
I used lotion and corn starch together lotion no perfume
Lotrimin cream that you use for Athletes cream works wonders. I swear by it my doctor told me to use and I’ve used with all 6 of my kids .
Vaseline works great when they poop like that. When she’s done with this pooping thing, try Dr. Boudreaux.
A good moisture barrier like petroleum jelly and the butt paste in the red tube for babies (forgot the name) even sold at dollar general, after every single change whether it’s wet or messy. That’s the only things that ever helps my granddaughter and her really sensitive skin. Other ointments make it worse.
Corn starch and don’t wipe put her in a warm bath wiping will irritate it more
Metanium heals fast, and vaseline on top to protect her raw bottom when she poops so it doesn’t burn.
Also check with drs to make sure it isn’t fungal jnfection then they can prescribe medication.
Mix Nystatin with extra strength Desitin. Like a 3rd of the bottle with half of the big Desitin tub (I used a separate container) and then “frost” the bottom from front to back. Immediate relief!
Vaseline my son gets them alot from pooping and he doesn’t even have to poop much to get it.
Desitin is good… scorched cornstarch is good too. My daughter couldn’t use Desitin on her boys for some reason so you might try Bagbalm. That’s also very good.
Use Desitin, it works wonders, regular Zinc cream just burned my liitle guys bum when he had a rash like you mentioned, but a bath and desitin dream cleared it right up! Thr cream smells horrible, but I swear by it.
Cornstarch always worked for me. That would happen when my son was around 1, the creams didn’t seem to help but the cornstarch helped dry it up
Just let her air dry for awhile to be honest. Thats the best thing. Let her lay on an open diper and just let the air get at.it. or start putting her over the toilet to help not go in a diaper at all for awhile… helped with my daughter who was premature and paper skinned and EVERYTHING attacked her. And over paste her behind for extra protection, and as soon shes done change her and replace the cream. But more air dry
My son had bad rashes alot when he was first born. Wipes make it worse cause they burn too. We used a soft wash cloth and basically bathed his bottom every time he would poop we would then dry him and put desitin on it. Helped him a ton.
Are you sure it’s diaper rash, or is it yeast infection…try the cream for it…and if in 12hr. It looks better, you will know…it won’t hurt her…to try.
Mix gasoline and monistat together to make a paste- you will see a huge difference after the first diaper change
I am a 55 year old LPN. I have raised 3 of my own children and I have 7 grandchildren. I have always used bag balm ( green can) and a little cornstarch mixed together into a paste for times like that. First give your baby a warm bath and wash with DIAL ( gold color) original soap, dry your baby, and apply paste. Let her bottom air a while with no diaper. After each diaper change, don’t use wipes, but wash with Dial soap, and reapply paste, and let bottom get more air.
Calmoseptine will knock it right out.
Don’t wipe, pat with warm cloth. Let her diaper area air dry for long periods of time.
Sounds like lactose intolerance. Try cutting out dairy for a couple of weeks
I used udder cream on my kids x
Cornstarch it works wonders just take a spoon full and sprinkle it on at each diaper change
Bepantham or bepanthan is the best to use. My daughter would scream and its almost bleed she was that raw. I used bepanthan and its worked almost immediately. Ideal for after a warm bath to rub on clean skin. It also water bases it.
My oldest daughter had the same issue. It was so bad it would bleed. She was getting too much acid and I had to reduce her fruit and acidic foods. I also used aquafor and it helped so much. Cornstarch makes it worse.
Aquaphor healing ointment and pepto bismuth mixed together. Will heal up within a day or two and use wash cloth or paper towels instead of wipes. Baby will cry less also. Sworn to work!!!
Have you tried the yellow cream very thin layer on the rash and it clears up, I usally leave my boy with no nappy to dry off after nappy changes and baths and put the yellow cream on seems to help alot
What works best for me was cream for cow utter found in grange stores.
Oatmeal baths and aquaphor. I swear by it. My girl would get the odd rash and I would put oatmeal in a cheese cloth and tie it off and drop it in a warm bath with no soap and use the aquaphor and it would be gone by morning. Letting her have some time to air out helps as-well. Hope she feels better
Vaseline a & d ointment or desitin was my go too. Washed with a extra soapy rag instead of wipes
Let her little bum get air. Lay her on a towel and let her be diaper less for awhile. Cornstarch works wonders …
Aquaphor. Clears it up within hours. The only diaper cream I use now.
My daughter was going through this same thing with her 18 month old, many of these remedies helped but what really helped was switching her to lactose free milk. She was pooping 8-10 times a day before the milk switch. Diaper rash cleared up.
Sure treat the rash… cornstarch, air (maybe do naps and bed time without a diaper). But try to pinpoint what is causing it. How old is she - switch formulas, add rice cereal, a particular food is the irritant?
I read that crushing up tums and adding Vaseline and mixing helps
It was always from ear infections with my grandson. It would get so bad that only coconut oil & letting him air out helped. Then some meds would cause it again getting rid of the infection
Not to mention the chemicals they put in diapers anymore.
I always used Pinxav, pronounced pink salve and now use it on my grand babies. You can get it at Buehlers grocery in the baby section. It has always worked wonders for me
Please don’t use wipes, use a rag and cool to warm water. To clean her. A lukewarm bath with half a small box of baking soda.
Oatmeal baths & then Bordeaux’s butt paste extra strength after every diaper change
Wipes -scented and not scented hurt my granddaughter that she would end up with a red welts from use of wipes.
Made it harder to wash off . But the laundry sink became the new quick bath poo rinser.
Happens to mine too resinal diaper rash cream will clear it up
The dr recommend I use triple paste when that happened to my son and she said when I think I used enough, use more a very thick layer each diaper change & keep her dry
Baking soda bath and air
Is she drinking a lot of juice? I’d look into what’s in her diet causing the acidity
Starch instead of baby powder and mild un scented soap and wash cloth .
Vaseline, air dry, warm bath with no bubbles
Girl! My sons bottom must hate wipes because this happens every time we use them. We rinse him now in the bathroom sink rather than tearing up his butt with wipes and it has been a miracle. I know it isn’t always possible and at first it seems like a hassle but if you experience anything like what we did (and he was changed every hour or two sometimes even more because of how much he pooed and peed) but anything beats them being fussy because they’re uncomfortable and you knowing that’s exactly what it’s from. We’re 3 months in and it has almost completely deterred them altogether.
We have family who live in Hawaii and they gifted me this for our baby shower… it is seriously AMAZING!! No other diaper cream compares to this stuff. It is soothing and fast acting like within a day rash gone. Don’t know how shipping is but totally worth it! Their other baby products are amazing also.

Clotrimazole. It’s over the counter and knocks it out much faster than diaper rash creams of any brand
My sons food allergy to corn products was discovered this way. Ughhh definitely ask for a referal to allergist
Check into what has changed in her diet, something is aggravating her digestive system. When my kids had bad diaper rash it was baking soda bath and as much “air time” as possible. Also during bad rash I also only used water and wash cloths to clean them since any wipes seemed to hurt more. After cleaning and some air time carefully apply diaper cream. Change diapers even more often then usual keep the area clean and dry. Also remember baby is hurting so a little Tylenol might help with the pain also
It could be a yeast rash. Try monostat
When you clean her bottom put Vaseline on unscented wipe. Afterwards apply lots of Vaseline. Easier cleaning next time. Let baby lay on towel after bathing without diaper and air out after baths for a while. I always did this . Make sure no soap left on baby
My mom used to say that different creams work for different kids skin types. With my sister she used plain old Vaseline, with my brother it was desitin and with me it was aquaphor. It took trial and error to figure out the right cream, but once she did the rashes cleared up.
Butt paste. And even put cream on her when she dosent have a rash. Also let her air dry as much as possible.
Pinxav is what worked for my kids
Thick layer of aquaphor!!! Works SO well. My baby had gotten an awful rash at her lst daycare it blistered, aquaphor after her bath it was sooo much better the next morning
About the only time my kids ever had diaper rash, was when they were teething. Maybe that is way her poops have changed. It could cause a little diarrhea with some babies.
Cut back on the acidic fruits it will stop. Mango, orange are burnt butt culprits. Alternate your cream and powder for the butt it will clear up. I didn’t use regular baby powder though I used the burts bees baby dusting powder, it has better ingredients and helps dry the rash out as well.
If really bad might need a prescription ointment. But clean but with warm soapy wet cloth mild soap let but breath as in take diaper off air out
Try a different diaper. She may be allergic to the diaper.
I use young living Tea tree oil and water mix in a spray bottle.
I dont use butt creams always this and it heals the worst rash. Also young living lavender oil is amazing too.
When my son was like 6mo old he got a diaper rash and I took him to the doctor they said it was a yeast rash . She gave me natastatin. It just happened to be the weekend he went to his dad’s when my child came back to me he had blisters that were bleeding. I was livid I called him going bonkers. And found out he had gave him orange juice which had made it worse. So please avoid any kind of citrus acid juice use unscented wipes
Scented wipes also cause irritation. Desitin also irritated it. I would go with something like boudreaux’s butt paste until you can get to the doctor. Corn starch also helped
A&D ointment works well!
Burn flour cool down and use it. My daughter had a bad diaper rash. She was allergic to Luvs. My mom came and burned see flour, light to med brown. Put it on her and she was rash free 3 days later
A great product for this is called Domborro… Amazon has it, some local pharmacies may have it too… Really works great… Comes in small packets, mix in shallow cool bath, have her sit in it, even briefly works…
Then after use the zinc oxide…
Really helps…
Wish you the best…
Here me out on this one… put some flour in a pan, brown the flour, and put it on the baby. My daughter had ONE diaper rash in her life. I took her to her grandmother’s house for a weekend and she did that. It cleared up within a day or so
Baby Aquaphor works great for my son
I found out it was a fungal thing from wet sloppy poop and had to get special cream
Place the baby no diaper in the packnplay use corn starch all over the babys bottom. Get a small fan lowest setting and let it blow in all day. Reapply as needed. It needs to dry out. All the creams are keeping it wet. Then the urine is burning the skin.
One day will make a huge difference.
Use a warm terry cloth and A&D ointment!!
My daughter got rashes on her bum from time to time and I always would use cornstarch or bag balm (Walmart) I swear by both!! The bag balm would clear up in matter of two hours. It works amazing!!
Cornstarch works wonders then a hair dryer on light the heat will dry it up
Using damp cotton rounds instead of wipes when very sore helps with discomfort. Also, triple paste medicated diaper rash cream mixed with some petroleum jelly will help tremendously! The petroleum jelly will create a barrier almost from the wetness. You can get the triple paste from any drugstore! Also, oatmeal baths will help as well and leaving a diaper off to let it get some air to the rash to help dry it out.
I had that happen with one of my own and a grand child. Diaperene clears up the rash in about 2 applications, but them you have to find out what caused the loose stools. With mine, they were allergic to cows milk.
Rinse her off in the sink after she poops. Don’t use wipes. Use a blow dryer on the coolest setting and dry her butt. Use lots of diaper rash cream and let her air out
