If youâre using drugs, you shouldnât be a mother. If youâre worried about drug testing during pregnancy, you wonât be able to take care of a child. Get clean before that.

Why is this a question?
Not usually but they do when the baby is born. Piss dirty and youâll probably lose your kid. I dunno what drugs you do but if you keep the baby, get help and get/stay sober. Not easy but worth it

EVERY TIME I went to a first appointment when pregnant, they have drug tested. They do it so they know more about your health whether you know it or not.
Yes they do so they know how to care for you during your pregnancy but you should be honest so they can properly treat you and your baby
I used to work at a clinic where we treated addicts that did everything. We 100% test but we also offer help so you can stay clean and have a healthy baby. I have a friend who is an addict of a few different drugs, coke in particular, and she delivered a healthy baby boy because she got help. Do your best, be honest and ignore all the negative comments. Any way depends I think it also depends on the drug if theyâd say anything but if you let them know you where doing stuff before you got pregnant and stopped it it should be okâŚ

Last I heard they did. Ig you do drugs be open and honest with your dr about it. And let them know you want to quit. (Even if you dont) That way they can help you safely, for you and the baby.
I hope all you dang judgemental people never took a thing while pregnant not even tylenol or smoked a cigarette while pregnant or when you didnât know to be pregnant. No one fkn knows what drug it could have been weed or damn maybe she was on some pills.for mental health or pain those are considers drugs to.

It has been my experience that they do not unless there is suspected abuse. Please now that you know make a decision to do no more and stick to it. Best of luck.
Yes they test. Even for marijuana. I know someone who was founded for neglect and children removed because she tested positive for pot at birth. Itâs best just to quit

It would probably depend on your circumstances, I have 7 children and have never been drug tested. Even so I think they would only drug test if they suspect you to be taking something that could potentially put your child at risk
Yes they test. Yes they give you help. No they donât always take you child from you. You do want to be honest with the doctor so you can have a healthy baby.

Iâm in Canada and no they donât however I would think if your Dr suspected you of drug use then they may. Weed here is legal however so again Iâm sure if your Dr thought you use that and or alcohol they would give assistance to you. . They do regular routine bloodwork for certain levels of vitamins and beta numbers.
Yes they do just tell them you were doing the edible wave before you found out you were pregnant. But you have to stop smoking they will kick you out of your ob office it happened to me just a forewarning. Iâm in Georgia.

They test everytime you give urine.
Only at certain hospitals. Do your research ahead of time.
Just be honest with your doctor. They can help you get/say clean. They will test the baby when itâs born but depending on far along you are, if you stop now you should be fine if you stopped using what ever it is. Also, if itâs pot then you should look into getting your medical card if it is medical.

Never in my life have I been drug tested durn my pregnancies
They do at the hospital when baby is born. They will test the babyâs first poop and they also drug test when you give the last urine sample before having the baby.

Yes every dr appt they test with urine and in ur blood work itâs best to be truthful from the start unless itâs hard drugs that u continue to do throughout ur pregnancy then cas might be involed but with weed there not caring as much I smoked my entire pregnancy and I was fine not even cas showed up and I have history with drug abuse and history with cas so I was shocked but it depands on the drug pressay and also how much support you have durning your pregnancy

In the state I live they drug test at the beginning and at the time the baby is born. Pot is legal in my state and I had thc in my system when I found out I was pregnant. I just stopped smoking while I was pregnant and as long as it was out of my system when I gave birthâŚno problem. However if you do have drugs in your system at time of birth, they can take your baby away.
Yes and they wont always tell you the results. Theyâll notify Social Services and when the baby is born if it tests positive. They will have Child protective services come in. Possibly take the baby depending on what it was. My daughter in laws sister lost her son that way.

They take urine samples at most appointments, atleast where I live, checking levels of a few things and they never said if they were testing for drugs with that aswell but personally I hope they do for the sake of the baby. Itâs one thing to do what u want before u find out your a mom. But if your still doing that after you find out then measures should be taken by health care professionals and maybe even get child services involved. Itâs good for the system to know if they are gunna be sending a baby home with a junkie. Where I live there is a bit of a meth problem and so many kids are born into that life.

Depends where you live and also your doctor. But if you have to ask, should you be considering keeping it ? When you do drugs, your baby does too and baby will (if it survives) be born with a lot of heath issues and addicted to whatever drug you are using.
If you are an occasional user, talk to your doctor about it to make sure the baby is safe. And also donât do any more drugs of you plan on keeping the baby. A one time use before you find out you are pregnant (depending how far you are) the baby may be okay as long as you discontinue any use

i had 4 kids and wasnt testec at all but usually once babied are born they test the baby
They collect urine at every appointment (at least my doctors office does) I donât think its necessarily a âdrug testâ more to monitor levels for other health problems that can sometimes arise. They absolutely do test after birth urine and stool for baby.

Umm yes they do and they will take your baby away if you come up dirty too many times so I advise you to stop whatever you are doing not because they test you but because youâre messing up the new life growing inside you. If you canât do it for yourself do it for the baby.
